You are a pleasure to watch, Pam. I'm making a hard cover junk journal for myself, but for a specific purpose. Mine is also covered in a flowery print. I am elderly and paralyzed. In case I get hauled to a nursing home again, my junk journal has a tiny (partial) Bible, a tiny pen, a tiny phone book, an acrylic mirror (fun house quality), a keychain flashlight, a tiny magnifying glass, folding scissors, emery board, and twenty small pages of paper. If I can, I will also fit in Morse Code and some French vocabulary. Boredom is our enemy. I hope my ideas inspire you and your audience.
Thank you from a biginner that still has the fear of failure on her mind for a quick way to do this. Less thinking about the making, the less stress, the less way of making a fear mistake. lol
Pam...love your chanel & your sense of humor is delightful! Smooch that cute Sunshine for me 😘! My 1st dog was named Sunshine (I was 42). She followed me all over the house. In fact she would get a mouthful of food from her bowl & bring it to wherever I was so she could eat with me...🥰 I miss her so...😥❤️
Pam, 2 years ago I discovered your channel and I followed step by step, your instructions on how to make a journal. You’re a great teacher and you opened up a whole new world to me. I am addicted to making these journals! Thank you for sharing your talent with us, and making the whole experience fun! Your videos are always inspiring, full of great ideas, and your bubbly personality is the “cherry on top”! Thank you!
I’m thinking of starting an exclusive dictionary just for the Outpost. The first word is going to be smooshing. Love that word. Lol. Another easy to understand and informative video. Thanks Pam!💕👍
I started out scrapbook making, found you and made everyone gifts of junk journals. Now grandkids are graduating so going back to scrapbooks. But I needed to cover the photo album, and knew you would help me refresh my memory. Thank you for your refresh lessons.
Thank you for showing us how to do this. I have several books that I can use these instructions with. I love you and your sweet little puppy! I always look forward to seeing both of you!
I just moved to a new apartment, and set up my living room as my studio and my master bedroom as my living room. Now I walk in the door and my apartment is yelling, “Hey! Make something!” I have one of your Fundies on my, craft table, an old book to make a junk journal out of. Can’t wait to get cracking!
Another beautiful cover. Thanks for your time and instructions. This is an easy way to use up the book.🤗😊 Hi family Papa, Sunny, Holly and the love birds. Have a good weekend.
Your videos are a great way to wake up in the morning - sets the stage for a creative day. Thank you for reminding me on how to use the book cover to make a nice fold - just flip the book to crease fabric fold on edges - wow! So easy and so perfect. Enjoy your day.
Oh my goodness, I did a Google search looking for a particular junk journal I showed my husband last but I forgot to save it. Anyway as I was looking through my search results there was a link to this video on how to make quick and easy covers. I decided to click on it and as soon as the video started I automatically knew that it was you! I have watched so many of your videos over the last couple of years that I juts knew who made this video! I should also note that when I read the title of the video that's the only information that was pulled up on my phone and I watched the whole thing with no sound as my husband is still asleep besdie me. I love the video and will be trying this technique soon too!
You are giving me confidence in creating my own journal cover! As I am watching this video, I have selected the very book I am going to use and I just glued together a spine to use. My daughter is taking me to Hobby Lobby today and I am going to check out the fabric and possibly select the cover! I am new to junk journaling (just started in March) and having so much fun! Your videos are inspiring and so helpful! Keep them coming! Many thanks!
Thanks Pam. I have the hardest time with covers. My corners always come out showing. I think if I do it this way, I will have a much easier time of it. I appreciate you showing us newbies how to do basics. Have a wonderful weekend.
I can hardly believe hiw you come up with new ideas all the time! I just bought an old book today to use for a journal cover. "Dr Hudson's Secret Journal"

Ok. I need a cover to finish my book. Lol. Or put it together. I was thinking about using fabric for this one. So this again is easy with covering the inside with fabric too!! Easy and quick!!! Yayyyyy. My kind of like!!! TFS
Well, another great idea. I do have some books that I've been thinking about getting rid of because the spin isn't big enough. Thank you so much for sharing.
Pam-on a piece of fabric, the threads going north to south are called the warp, and the threads going east to west are called the weft. Very fun words! I think I’ll see how many times I can use them today…
Hi Pam! I love your work, love your videos, love your personality and humor, and I love your doggie! :) I have a rather thick Bible text block that I would like to make a "soft" cover for so that it is easier to read while lounging, and lays flat for easy notetaking. I have some pretty fabric I want to use for the cover. Can you help me figure out how to do this? I'm not a newbie, I have several junk journals under my belt. I'm unsure about how to do a soft cover that attaches to a large text block securely.
