Nice! Just bought a Typhon the other day, interesting little box.

It is an amazingly deep synth, especially for the money!

I am confused as to how the sound is going through the tape recorder and into the computer. What kind of lines are going in and out? But what a SOUND. This is clever rig and I am really eager to see more of these videos of you playing. Hope you are planning on realizing some music in the future if you haven’t already. You definitely have something going on here.

Hey man, thanks a lot! The dreadbox is connected to the tape player/recorder via a "3.5 mm Stereo jack to 2x 6.3 mm mono jacks". The two monojacks are connected to the two outputs of the Typhon, and the 3.5 mm stereo jack to the tape. I afterwards did a line out from the tape recorder and into my audio interface to record the sound of the tape onto the computer, so it is not recorded to the computer while i am playing it, that was done afterwards.
I don't have much synth music released, except for two old tracks from when i was first getting into music production, and a bunch of ambient/drone music released under the name "Frygt" on Bandcamp. I might soon start working on an EP though.

@@divinginspace9624 that’s a creative setup! I live stuff like that. Doing something a little outside of convention. I got the Behringer Crave recently and have been trying to do weird experiments of plugging in my phone to it and whatnot but the cassette rig was very clever.
you should definitely do an EP! You’ve got a lot of talent and it feels different than the typical jam I hear when people are just screwing around with their gear. Feels like it has some heart to it.

@@michaelkonomos That's actually pretty nice! I am mostly running my Eurorack through the Crave at the moment, as it has a lot of utilities that i've been missing in my "beginner" system. It is pretty handy, as you have a working eurorack setup with only a few modules (if you check my videos, i actually have one where i only use one module and the crave).
Thanks for the encouragement, i really appreciate it! I mostly have to figure out the format i wanna do the EP in, as i've mostly been jamming (which has made me a lot more productive)

Is this the playback recorded tapesound? or the sound sending to the tape?

I recorded the tape afterwards and synced it to video.
