Went for my first time this year & they end up letting up one of the biggest upsets in college football history against NIU 😢😅 but they’re looking better & better each week. Injuries are killing us tho
These highlights have a lot of room for improvement. For example: this starts with the opening kickoff to ND, then immediately cut to Stanford with 2nd & Goal from the 1 yard line with no context. Then, after showing Stanford's TD, immediately it goes to ND with 1st & Goal. How did these teams get there? What were some big plays? Show more big first downs, 3rd down stops, etc. Give a feel for how the game actually went.
Thanks for the feedback! These are intended to be top plays, not a condensed game - hence some of the cut drives, etc. We plan to post the full game Tuesday at noon.
@@FightingIrish I appreciate the response. I understand that logic to an extent, and I've always appreciated ND posting the full game as that is most definitely not the norm across CFB. But I also think there's some value in posting more of a condensed 12-to-15 minute version of the game along with the full game, especially if other condensed-game content creators are going to get copyright-stricken for ND home games (just assuming that's what's going on here as I never see other channels post highlights of ND home games, feel free to correct me of course if that's wrong). Just my two cents letting you know that if you did start posting them, you would have at least one person who would watch all of them right here 🖐
He did better this game. But he still is not on the same page as his receivers. He also doesn't seem to have the touch for the deep ball. That one to Beaux Collins should have been a walk in TD. Angeli still has the better touch on the deep pass. He proved that with the drop from 14. That was an absolute dime dropped in a spot only the receiver could catch it. What Riley has is the quick pass and his running ability. It works in College with what he has. But he isn't elusive or fast enough to do that in the pros unfortunately.
Jason Garrett needs to go , respectfully. I have never heard an ND commentator talk about the other team so glowingly every time. Let's get an ND homer in there.
Look at my avatar. Although he was with us for one year, it absolutely kills me to have him calling our games. He should not be calling Notre Dame games, especially since I’m Giants fan
A nice win, but Leonard still has miles to go. The first two TD passes he stared down his receivers like a freshmen in high school. Better defenses like Navy & Army will eat him alive with mistakes like that. Heck even Georgia Tech is no slouch. Still think we are better off feeding Price & Love like Boise State does Ashton Jeanty but just keep winning and none of it matters.
I wish ND could be an elite program, unfortunately I don’t think it’s possible. We’re gonna forever be in the great but not elite… we are unable to play consistently. We crush teams like Stanford and beat TA&M, then struggle with the 2 easiest teams on our schedule with NIU & Miami OH. I can’t explain this program and it’s so disappointing as a fan.
Due to its ridiculously easy schedule, the NIU loss was disqualifying. But ND could still make the palyoffs, compliments of the ever-worsening, money-grubbing corruption of college football....and they would make an easy game for any playoff-worthy team they play.
What is Stanford even doing in South Bend? They were mincemeat from the get go. Like a double A team playing the Yankees. Stanford would be playing in the Ivy League if they were based in the Northeast. The student body could care less about the team. They are lucky to get fifteen thousand fans in their band box stadium for home games. Stanford is an elite university with admission standards equivalent of those at Harvard. They days when they mattered in football are long gone. They participate in the portal system except any player who can go somewhere else leaves so the portal for Stanford is a one way street. They should should abolish football but don't because their wealthy alumni will howl, They have zero fan base in the Bay Area unlike USC and UCLA which has a massive Southern California fan base. And putting them in the ACC was beyond stupid. Stanford plays on the Pacific Coast so why in the world should they be in the Atlantic Coach Conference and have to spend half their week flying to and from the East Coast for away games. Terrible for their true student/athletes. None of this makes any sense. Why get your brains beaten raw when a Stanford degree is your gateway to a successful career in many fields.
Lol, no they won't. All of rhe teams positioned ahead of ND right now are undefeated or have 1 loss. So many will drop ganes and fall by the wayside in the coming weeks it isn't even funny. Besides, A&M is going to trounce LSU home at Kyle Field and both Navy/Army will not lose until they play ND. They should both be ranked top 20 at some point later this season.. Win out and the Irish host a home playoff game, guaranteed. Lose again and it's a real problem though, I definitely agree.
So? They will have played absolutely nobody. And no I do not think the Aggies are any good. And that NIU loss was THE WORST IN CFB HISTORY,. Yes, worse than Michigan losing to APP ST, because they were at least a decent Div II team at the time. NIU IS FAR WORSE....and I remember when ppl were SCREAMING that Kelly lost to TOLEDO AND we ended up wining a bowl game that season. I was one of the fans screaming that by the way.
Riley is looking more and more comfortable...with this defense...look out

@FightingIrish i was wondering when the full game was gonna be up. ty and always LETS GO IRISH
Congratulations, Notre Dame! Go Irish for the season!☘💚🏈 🙌🎊🎉 Head Up, Cardinal! Hail Stanford Hail!♥🌲🏈
What a great game for the IRISH. Almost like the first time you climb into a Brand New Car and INHALE that FREEDOM to ENJOY your WORK.
I better not see nothing about Riley Leonard being trash or to bench him. He is looking great

We don't necessarily need a homer, but Garrett has to go. He sounds like the opposing teams home announcer every single game. He's beyond ridiculous.

LSU moves up 5 spots??????
They dropped us to12 in the polls.
12 in the AP and 11 in the Coaches poll. I guess ND shouldn't have let Stanford score that TD.
