Very fitting to use Jenson for the last track guide of 2016 . This will be his last F1 race in my view along with Massa. Can't see JB in an F1 race seat in '18.
Just like Kimi once said "The first few turns are quite good, but the rest of it is shit".

Same as every other Tilke's track layout... These tracks suck same as all the F1 for already like 10 years... Since the death of Senna, and since last battles of Hakkinen vs. Schumi, all the F1 circus became totally uninteresting for me. It's all boring - trakcs, cars, drivers. I know that people were dying in their cars in the past, but it was racing. Today, it's just stupid theater full of marionetes...
@ you got that right bro. just look at those never-ending buzz-killing 90° turns... there's a reason why some tricky old-school circuits such as spa and suzuka are still favored by many motorsport fans (although they do tend to be merciless towards any slight mistake)
Glad they used Jenson. I hope he finds a gig commenting on one of the big networks. James hunt was the best with Murray Walker back in the day and thats what I see Jenson doing.
Did you see see the last race at all? Max is young and inexperienced, sure, but he's an absolute monster in the rain. Without RB's bit stop blunder he would have sailed past the Mercs with ease and taken P1. Pastor wouldn't have lasted five laps.
YaYa Tankoure He did actually spin in the last (or second to last?) corner, just like many others, but he held it together. I'm more impressed at his incredible ballsiness on the rest of the track. F1 needs more drivers like him, who dares giving it all even in difficult circumstances. You can say whatever you want about the car and the tires, but there's no question that he's good in the rain, and wayyy better than Pastor. Can you imagine Pastor driving like Max did in this race?
I've done many laps of this course on a bicycle. Interesting that he comments about not much elevation change, yeah, right , if you have over 900 horsepower! Catching the grade correctly is essential to get maximum speed on a bicycle when you only have 300 Watts continuous peak. Another unique factor to this track is its proximity to the water combined with the temperatures, it creates a variable humidity zone, and in the evening they humidity is condensing, making it for a very slick track, especially on bicycle tires. Are there any endurance automobile races held on this course? It would be interesting to see how automobile drivers adapt to the change in the track as the temperature drops below the dew point. On Sunday night the Marina circuit has a track night which is not only free to participate in, they lend you a bicycle and a helmet to do it. Or you can bring your own bike. When I travel to Abu Dhabi I bring my bike shoes, pedals, and pedal wrench. They have lockers you can store your stuff inside. I highly recommend it, even if you're not a cyclist (just don't be dangerous) it's a great way to develop a greater appreciation for this track. I used to live in Long Beach so I have run, biked, and even driven the (set up) that course also.
I like this track. It has bit of everything fast corners long straights and slower more twisty bits. Not to mention the sunset which is absolutely epic.
lewis is easily a much better driver and lewis deserves to keep winning as long as rosberg is his teammate. lewis could win 10 in a row and i wouldnt feel sorry for nico secondberg. hope he retires before the race even starts
Dick Dousche Well let me start by saying your name suits you well. Second, SO WHAT ? Many drivers in F1 has supposedly "deserved more" over the years. Raikkonen 2003, Hakkinen 2000, Hill '94 etc. but the fact is, they didn't win for one reason or another. Anything can happen in F1 and if you're as big a fan of Hamilton as your post implies you should be supporting Hamilton whether he is champion or not. But crying over spilled milk won't change anything. I myself am not that big a fan of Hamilton but you won't see me complaining that Hamilton only won in 2014-2016 because he had by far the best car with a noticably worse teammate. If Nico wins he wins PERIOD just like Hamilton has for 2 years. Drivers can win battles as well as lose them. This is how it always has been in F1 and how it always will be and you better get used to it if you're planning to follow F1 more into the future.
Hasan Özuğurlu lol yeah i'm well aware of how things go in f1 and how shit happens but imo the best driver deserves to always win over a lesser teammate and that's all i said in my post
Dick Dousche Yeah aside from the "hope he retires before the race even starts" part which indicates that even if you may know "how shit happens in F1" you don't seem to be very good at accepting it and moving on. As I said so many other people supposedly deserved more but didn't get it so no point in crying if Hamilton loses(that's why I won't cry if Rosberg loses).
Not disagreeing with you in principle, because I'm not enjoying the technical regulations as well. But in the department of top speeds we're actually in the neighborhood of all time records this season. Small wings, extreme amounts of BHP (ie Mercedes' engines 900+BHP) will do that. We're actually approaching begin of the century speeds with 378 kph by Bottas in Baku this year. Also, finally the lap records start to be closed or even broken this year. But McLaren were just this far back last year in Abu Dabi, however they've caught up a bit now.
Kllrtofu Don't compare Baku and that monstrous straight. Compare tracks that existed before, like spa or monza. Not disagreeing, just pointing that out.
You can clearly see the problem of Honda PU here. End of the straights the car is actually decelerating. The speeds are decreasing! That's the main problem for McLaren last year.
Such a visually stunning race track! one of the most beautifully designed tracks in the Formula One Grand Prix, ney one of the most beautiful in the world!
If you do these track guides again next year I'd really like to see some sort of driver tracker graphic as he goes through the lap. You know, so you can see a map of the whole circuit and the driver's current position on it.
Very boring track. Run off areas the size of football pitches in every corner. Lots of high speed straights with zero to non excitement. Just boring. Would have been better if we would have this track (if we got to have it) to not have it as the last track on the calendar. Somewhere in the beginning would have been fine.
Tim Dev Of course not. What I want is to see drivers being challenged. Did you see somebody Crash and Burn (your words) in Canada? In Monaco maybe? Brazil? Belgium? No that doesn't happen for years now anymore. Because cars are much safer now. And that is good. But it doesn't mean we need a race track that is as boring as this. Of course a track has to be safe. Therefore we no longer go to Imola for example.
I would much prefer a track like Brasil (or anything similar) to be the last race. Never found Abu Dhabi so spectacular for that matter. I hope I will be proven wrong this weekend !
That's because they are setup for a track that needs a lot of downforce to get through the corners... this is not Monza where you don't need a lot of downforce..
Alvaro martinez Tilke fucked F1 with circuit and Bernie fucked with stupid rules.Interlagos much better ending circuit then this shit. btw Istanbul Gp i think only good circuit Tilke did
Batuhan Aydın FIA does the rules. Bernie isnt more than a hollow marionette. I mean, have you seen him in interviews? He's senile. That guy shouldnt be anywhere near F1.
2014 & 2015 Mercedes won 16 out of 19 GP. This season 2016 even more f**k'd up 19 out of 21 GP.. And without that collision in Spain it would have been 20 wins out of 21. C'mon WE want some fight for P1 and not just from 1 team's team mates.
TheJokerit19 2012 Vet won Alo by 3 points. 2010 Vet won Alo by 4 points. 2009 9 points separated 1 and 2. 2008 only 1 point. 2007 another by 1 point difference... All different teams 1st and 2nd in drivers championship. Why do you say it's normal that one team dominates?

Ye one year dominance here and there so what. If you look at my first post I'm talking about 3 years in row AND maybe 1 or 2 more coming. You may accept or even like that but I'm about to be done with that shit.
Couple of things here: 1. JB's top speed was ~ 310 kph. The Ferrari and Mercedes hit ~ 330 kph. The agony. 2. The Honda engine sounds like a shaver. Don't believe? Play this when you go to a barber shop.
FormulaOneLegends 2000 So you want to see another lame champion Hamilton? A different champion is the best that can happen for F1 at the moment, especially considering the new regulations next year. I'm neither a big Rosberg supporter nor do I dislike Hamilton. I'm just looking at the bigger picture.
Can we get someone to re-modify this track into something better and fire Tikle plz? I love the GP and the twilight setting but Sector 3 is complete shit and can't overtake on any of those corners.

Very fitting to use Jenson for the last track guide of 2016 . This will be his last F1 race in my view along with Massa. Can't see JB in an F1 race seat in '18.
Bet you you will see him in the seat of the #1 Porsche 919 Hybrid.
Agreed to some level.
+Stephen Taylor I think Jenson is just McLaren's backup plan for 2018 - in case Alonso leaves the team.
Unless the rumors that will start during the silly season next year sending Fernando back to Ferrari turn out to be true. Then he may come back.
Sebastian Simion That's the stupidest rumour ever! -_-
Jensons driving is so smooth, its insane :D
Just like Kimi once said "The first few turns are quite good, but the rest of it is shit".
Same as every other Tilke's track layout... These tracks suck same as all the F1 for already like 10 years...

Dušan Holý i totally agree with you,
lol cry more baby
@ you got that right bro. just look at those never-ending buzz-killing 90° turns... there's a reason why some tricky old-school circuits such as spa and suzuka are still favored by many motorsport fans (although they do tend to be merciless towards any slight mistake)
"places like eau rouge, spa or Belgium" i swear david does these high
Joel Vuorisalmi you need to listen better xD he says like eau rouge in spa in belgium(:
Can David Coulthard PLEASE stop saying "natural amphitheater" when referring to artificial constructed grandstands?
It's definitely one of my favorite circuits.
GP2 track guide done, now we need a F1 track guide
TitanOfRacing GP3*
+jan.woz_38 gp2*
*Dacia Logan Cup
*Rental go kart
They needed more time so they use a Mclaren Honda lap hahaha
lol what
Markel Viota probably because it's Button's last race
McLaren Honda as a track Guide?!?!
F1 nice one
David needs a slower onboard lap to do a longer voice-over lol
Hilarious when it couldn't push past 310km on the back straight.
Mrthe Muppetfan is to listen the vtec powaah lol
Nico 330km/ vs 310km/ Button
I really like this track. It's among my favorites. Overtaking opportunities everywhere
Dino Prašo tell it to Alonso in 2010, its not that easy
Alvaro martinez you can overtake only with drs, but in 2010 was no drs
Alvaro martinez I think Vettel demonstrated it jawdropingly in 2012
This track is a bit boring.
Interlagos was PERFECT for the last race of the season.
'Good weather and ...(?) makes Abu Dhabi the perfect place to end the season' lol
'...a cosmopolitan feel'
Glad they used Jenson. I hope he finds a gig commenting on one of the big networks. James hunt was the best with Murray Walker back in the day and thats what I see Jenson doing.
Lets go on a lap with 2012 winner Kimi Raikkonen... "Just leave me alone!! I know what I am doing!!"
He was having a sh*t
Bwoah

ShengJun101 Honestly he has to let me go, he has to let me go

Everybodys getting emotional about massa retiring. I think Buttons maybe last race is even more important for the sport.
I'm not a big F1 fan yet, but I love the F1 tracks in racing games because they look great and have a great variety of challenging turns.
David,. sorry pal, but Abu Dhabi is NOT (IMHO) the "perfect place to end the season",.. Brazil is.
Kris A he had to say that of course. that's how the world works. abu dhabi has more money to spend than brazil that's why it's the last gp now.
Kris A Brazil, Japan and even Malaysia are better ending tracks
+Kris A I agree with you, when I watched Brazil GP 1.5 weeks ago the atmosphere in there feels like final race on this season to be honest.
Finally they show a McLaren Honda.
Carre Only moment of spotlight they receive this season
1:57
DC: "A bit like Monte Carlo"
So that's where Maxtor Crashstappen will mess up in every session...
Jarno Kockelkoren made my day :D
Did you see see the last race at all? Max is young and inexperienced, sure, but he's an absolute monster in the rain. Without RB's bit stop blunder he would have sailed past the Mercs with ease and taken P1. Pastor wouldn't have lasted five laps.
*****
Other champions spun out with brand new tires.
Ze Rubenator he drived like a madman and that was great but if he spun (very good grammar) it would be very, very bad
YaYa Tankoure
He did actually spin in the last (or second to last?) corner, just like many others, but he held it together. I'm more impressed at his incredible ballsiness on the rest of the track. Rosberg for wdc 2016
he will be like his dad (who is the 1982 wdc Keke rosberg)
Last F1 race for Jenson Button, Felipe Nasr and Felipe Massa!

This is a Gp2 hotlap
1:46 'Speeds of over 200 mph'
*footage shows McLaren-Honda topping out at 310 kph/192 mph*
Just a gorgeous circuit!! Gotta love it!
Last race for Jenson,Felipe & then only Nando & Kimi left.
I like this track. It has bit of everything fast corners long straights and slower more twisty bits. Not to mention the sunset which is absolutely epic.
LAP STARTS AT 0:52
"You can see 8, displaying the gear" Oh that's funny, I thought it was displaying the number of homosexuals within 5 miles of the car
L
when you run out of things to say on such a boring track...
BlueAxeRacer I thought it was the amount of bananas you could eat but shouldn't.
I thought it was the top speed of the McLaren-Honda in miles an hour.
2017 WRC cars will have aerodynamic aggressiveness as well. Will miss you Jenson, Felipe
i wish Jeremy Clarkson would commentate for the qualifying in F1
JB: Do we have an orangutan or a human come gating
aaaannnd across the line...
I hope Rosberg doesn't retire he is so close now.
Hasan Özuğurlu i hope he does :P
lewis is easily a much better driver and lewis deserves to keep winning as long as rosberg is his teammate. lewis could win 10 in a row and i wouldnt feel sorry for nico secondberg. hope he retires before the race even starts

314 km/h top speed LOL, nice......I would have said if it still was the V8 era.
a Mercedes could easily touch 330-340 kmph last year
mclaren honda is just so slow ( 314 kmph )
Not disagreeing with you in principle, because I'm not enjoying the technical regulations as well. But in the department of top speeds we're actually in the neighborhood of all time records this season. Small wings, extreme amounts of BHP (ie Mercedes' engines 900+BHP) will do that. +Kllrtofu obviously next year will be very fast .
lap records will be broken .
Kllrtofu Don't compare Baku and that monstrous straight. Compare tracks that existed before, like spa or monza. Not disagreeing, just pointing that out.
LOL Mercedes reaches 340 km/h! thats 25 km/h faster 😂
I miss Button
ok :0 I never eard that !
At this point I thought Ferrari would have quite a few wins and second places and the 2016 season being a pretty good season
You can clearly see the problem of Honda PU here. End of the straights the car is actually decelerating. The speeds are decreasing!
That's the main problem for McLaren last year.
I know right? Very obvious, and sad to see with what Fernando and Jenson had to deal with.
l hope McLaren can attack the Top 3 Teams next year.
Legendäres Item aus Pandora Would be great to see but I don't think it's going to happen in 2017 sadly😕
Holger Beyer Ich mach nen Wirbel in Amerika, du dumme Sau du! Besser?😉
Such a visually stunning race track! one of the most beautifully designed tracks in the Formula One Grand Prix, ney one of the most beautiful in the world!
Only 314 kph. Honda in 2015 LUL
another good track @FORMULA 1
Legend.
Obrigado felipe
Cannot wait for the race! 👍👍 good luck to all drivers!
this is one of favourite race tracks, behind Bathurst mt panorama in Australia.
Final Race to Jenson and Felipe in this year, hope they will feel well in the future when they have a good time in their lifestyle.
HOLY SHIT! That Honda sounds freakin good compared to the other engines!
haha, not an elevation change like in Eau rouge, spa and belgium! Nice one
0:39 No, the perfect race to end the season is Interlagos!! Who cares about fireworks if you get a race like last week...
Coulthard 's narrating 😍
Bring on the 2017 cars !
If you do these track guides again next year I'd really like to see some sort of driver tracker graphic as he goes through the lap. You know, so you can see a map of the whole circuit and the driver's current position on it.
This is a great circuit.
La ultima vez que veremos a Button y Massa. Fuera de esto, un circuito que siempre pone un buen broche para terminar la temporada
I still think that the Honda engine from last year has te best sound of V6 era
Very boring track. Run off areas the size of football pitches in every corner. Lots of high speed straights with zero to non excitement. Just boring. Would have been better if we would have this track (if we got to have it) to not have it as the last track on the calendar. Somewhere in the beginning would have been fine.
Tilke style. you cant expect much more from him
Tim Dev you don't need a Tilke track to have a safe track
Tim Dev Of course not. What I want is to see drivers being challenged. Did you see somebody Crash and Burn (your words) in Canada? In Monaco maybe? Brazil? Belgium? No that doesn't happen for years now anymore. Because cars are much safer now. And that is good. But it doesn't mean we need a race track that is as boring as this. Of course a track has to be safe. Tim Dev partly, and also because there are too many 90 degree turns
+TheVicribatorXD there's 4.
Jenson Button's potential last race!
Instead of Circuit Guide show us onboard lap records for every track next year :)
I like how David said "at speeds of 200 mph" when Jenson didn't even hit 200 😂😂
for 2 legends is this the last race in formula one
I would much prefer a track like Brasil (or anything similar) to be the last race. Never found Abu Dhabi so spectacular for that matter. I hope I will be proven wrong this weekend !
Now we having as many tracks as cars
Places like au rouge and spa and Belgium. Lel still love you dc
Awesome stuff.
310 kph top speed in one of the longest straight in the calendar? 👀
That's because they are setup for a track that needs a lot of downforce to get through the corners... this is not Monza where you don't need a lot of downforce..
and it is a mclaren honda [2015]
Riswan Ahmad P. Or maybe the Mclaren cant go faster on straight xd
Natural?!? amphitheater? Really David? I thought it was man made...
Tilke style. what has happened to real F1?
Well, Tilke happened to F1 :(
Alvaro martinez Tilke fucked F1 with circuit and Bernie fucked with stupid rules.Interlagos much better ending circuit then this shit.
btw Istanbul Gp i think only good circuit Tilke did
Batuhan Aydın same
Batuhan Aydın FIA does the rules. Bernie isnt more than a hollow marionette.
I mean, have you seen him in interviews? He's senile. That guy shouldnt be anywhere near F1.
I dominated at this track F1 video game.😜🏎🏁 One of my favorite tracks
Can't wait for this race. Rosberg will DNF for sure.
fcukugimmeausername Doubt it. Hamilton has a higher chance of retiring or fucking up the start.
***** Which won't happen because it hardly rains in Abu Dhabi.
like and Rosberg will crash
Tall Man agree #TeamLH
Oh Man! Now I need to go make like 100 accounts just to like this
Dino Prašo good man xD
Hamilton is a spoilt child and doesn't deserve another win! His only prowess is politics and hotlapping, not racing.
Mayank Sharma Are you saying that Rosberg isn't? he's lived in Monaco his entire life.
One-team domination has existed in F1 since it's inception, so it's nothing new.
TheJokerit19
2012 Vet won Alo by 3 points.
2010 Vet won Alo by 4 points.
2009 9 points separated 1 and 2.
2008 only 1 point.
2007 another by 1 point difference...
All different teams 1st and 2nd in drivers championship. Why do you say it's normal that one team dominates?
juggeri1 Just take a look at the historical statistics, and you'll see how many times a one-team dominance has occurred in F1, and I wasn't even referring to 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2012 seasons for obvious reasons, but 1988, 2002, 2004, 2011, and 2013 are better examples.

You are forgetting Hamilton's engine. If that didn't blew up that would have been the full 21/21...
ONE MORE DAY THE RACE
I think that’s 2015. Button had a yellow helmet in Abu dhabi 2016.
Looks like that car is made for Alonso,he like's understeering style.Good result's for Jenson this season still!
what's the soundtrack used in te beginning.
Wow, 2015 McLaren Honda was so slow on the straights, no wonder everyone just flew past them.
I wish McLaren would get good again.
Yet another big go-cart track
Does anyone know the background song in the intro?
is it the last race of the season? i couldn't hear it in the video:D
Yes, it's the lat race of the season.
I put 50/50 on both surviving turn 1 without damage
"Perfect place to and an F1 season"? No, just NO
Needs a bit more sand in the middle to make it more deserty :)
Couple of things here:
1. JB's top speed was ~ 310 kph. The Ferrari and Mercedes hit ~ 330 kph. The agony.
2. The Honda engine sounds like a shaver. Don't believe? Play this when you go to a barber shop.
"exciting season"
i hope for a lewis 1 and rosberg 3d or lower
then nico will win
for lewis to win nico should finish fourth or lower
Can't wait for champion Rosberg...
Yas Marine always been boring. Interlagos should be the last race.
i am the only one who likes this circuit i guess
Inside Line yes(:
No, I like it too :D
+Inside Line No, you aren't the only one.
Jenson. still the fastest driver. just needs a good car
1:02 the only good corners of the track the rest is pure shit
From 2:02 to 2:12, we have interesting corners also. The rest, I agree. It's a lazy circuit.
90 degree corners, lack of elevation change or gravel traps, like 0,1% chance of rain. Very forgiving and unexciting piece of tarmac
I am going to be here today
David saying speed of over 200 and the mclaren topped out at 310kph haha that’s not quite over 200 David
Look the ERS..😭
Between 1:24 & 1:29 DC fOOks up a bit. #blametheJAW
what accent is that? i need a subtitle
So many Conner cutting
i didnt see any. when did he put 4 wheels off the track?
Can we get someone to re-modify this track into something better and fire Tikle plz? I love the GP and the twilight setting but Sector 3 is complete shit and can't overtake on any of those corners.
The track is designed by Hermann Tilke.
Rosberg pls make Germany happy again :)
FormulaOneLegends 2000 hehehe
Chris Valeske He's got a 12 point lead. He's definitely winning the campionship even if Hamilton wins the race.
I know your struggles.... your reading trough these comments because there's not much about F1 on youtube.. no worries bruh just go to RacingNL we got you covered man
what does a short apex mean?
Basically theres only one good line to take the corner.
ReBeLhIpI Okay
it means you spend a short amount of time at the apex
TheDescendant Okay fine..
nice accent
Roberto Vezi Scottish for you
