  • Dr. Linh Hoang, OFM offered this thought-provoking message at the 2023 Re-Imagining the World: Pope Francis and Saint Francis conference, hosted by the Franciscan School of Theology at the University of San Diego.
    Speaker Bio:
    Dr. Linh Hoang, OFM, is a Professor of Religious Studies at Siena College in New York. He is a Franciscan priest of the Holy Name Province. He has published in the areas of Asian American Catholics, migration and theology, history and race, religion, inter-generational and intercultural experience. His latest textbook Experiences of the Sacred was published in 2020. He serves as a consultant to the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) in the Office of Cultural Diversity.

Known for publications related to Catholicism in the United States, his When Values Collide: the Catholic Church, Sexual Abuse and the Challenges of Leadership (Orbis 2010) won several awards. Most recently he published American Catholicism Transformed from the Cold War Through the Council (Oxford 2021).
