The shields are good at keeping the Darkest Lord from getting a cheeky kill on the Cleric once he does Big Bang.
I didn't even get to see the final form, I got Horse-Whispering Chef twice in a row.
Sorry if this is a dumb question but what is horse whispering chef?
@@balmymussel266 Well, Horse-Whispering is a special move you unlock when the player mii reaches level 15 relationship with the horse. It uses all your mp, has unique effects for every job, and is usually stupid powerful. Horse-Whispering Chef in particular, has you launch 4-5 giant fireballs the deal big damage to the enemy they land on, and about half as splash damage the the enemies next to them.

I love horse whispering tank, u mount the horse, strap 2 rocket launchers to the horse, and fire 9 missiles at all enemies, great for multiple, but I find best for single

@@Hounddog3380 its really useful. It can do specific stuff with higher relationship levels like really good attacks that cost no mp, and also it can heal you, give mp and get rid of conditions such as being turned evil etc

I went in with a Scientist, Mage, Warrior, and Vampire
damn barely a day since release and people are already beating it
This is probably because they practiced on the 3DS version.
And people have already beaten New Lumos.
Switch is my first game and I got to dark lord when miitopia released

My two characters had 39 lvl during the first attempt to fight this boss and defeating him lasted less than 5 minutes xD, rest of my team was 27 lvl, yeah I love grinding.

Funny thing. I grinded in the demo so much, my first team is almost as highly leveled as your current team.
I already have more that 1000 faces, and I just arrived to Neksdor.
Omg same, I haven't even finished greenhorne and I have nearly 2000 faces, I didn't arrive to Neksdor yet because I stopped before I reached General (Princess name)

I like how not only do you have to split into teams to defeat them but at last stand you literally have to defeat the darkest lord and save your teammates stolen faces at the same time
I remember failing this so many times on the DS, I’m finally going to do it this time. (All 10 of my characters are lvl 50)

Me who has finished the ds version and redone the final boss multiple times: *I am four parallel universes ahead of you.*
But uhh if you want both endings, you gotta redo the battle and choose a different ending
In case you're a completionist of course-
I know some people like to grind for max level to destroy everything, but honestly, I think I enjoy the final boss more when it feels accurate to the story. You know for a damn fact you shouldn't beat the final boss in 3 turns. (Yes, you can do that in this game)
I was so close to beating this the first but my character died at the last minute.
Seeing the credits, the faces of all the characters are the same, but some of them have different names. For example, The Great Sage is called Sophie in my game, but looks exactly the same.

I just beat the game yesterday, now I'm gonna look for the elf and vampire job.
Warning: the enemies on the way to the elf are really hard. My team is almost level 30 and it took me a while to beat the FIRST PART.
Up next are EX Bosses from New Lumos/Tower of Dread, and the new data-mined post game dungeon!
Yes. I'll try to do the data-mined dungeon whenever I wake up, if it really is present in the final game, that is. Didn't check yet. It's been a really long 19 hours haha.

This actually looks like a final fantasy boss fight
On my first full playthrough on the 3ds I already knew about the losing your party after each world, so I purposely grinded and only used the miis I would get back first. I didn’t know about the Darker Lord’s Hand battles, so those ended up taking me like 5 hours of grinding where as I beat the Darkest Lord first try
YEA SAME IM SO PISSED I HAD REGRIND EVERYTHING

Me: looks over at all the miis who I don't normally keep on my party and are only like level 15
I just beat the game today, I was going to yesterday but I had the same realisation lol-
Had to exit out the game and grind till level 21

i beat this boss on the first try with 7 turns, this boss makes me afraid of the sun and i have post game depression because of this boss.

I applaud u to not spoiling the boss
fun fact: you can speedrun through the darkest lord’s battle by using the Cat’s horse whispering (the cat must be level 50 and have the legendary claws + cat suit.) This has to be on the first turn otherwise it won’t count.
this will then get the darkest lord to low hp, and since it’s not the darkest lord’s turn yet, this gives your other party members enough time to defeat the boss before it skips straight to the part where it brings all your party members to 1 HP.
The darkest lord (insert great sage name) boss fight looks like a reference of super smash ultimate world of light when galleem and dharkon have a turf war

So I’m gonna explain what happened with my team:
I had a good start until I made it to the part where it takes almost all your HP, when the boss started to attack again, ME AND MY TEAMATES PROTECTED THE THIEF. I revived myself but then a couple turns later my thief dies. I used my hyper and HP sprinkles to kill the boss. In short everybody in my team fell except for me

@@SylvineKitsune No he's talking Villa. After the Darkest Lord you can create Team Members at will and store Team Members in the villa for more room in the inn
This boss was so epic that Ubisoft took some pages from his notebook and designed the final boss fight of Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope with the same gimmick of destroying the boss’s hands first before being able to attack the actual boss!

just like the 3ds version it brings back memories
I once came up with a 3rd ending where after all this journey and hardships, Briar (MC, Mage/Thief/Cat path) is so pissed off at this curse that while she's now sympathetic towards it, she's also still REALLY salty and decides she's gonna take it from the INSIDE, absorbing the curse but fighting it at the same time, which leads to kinda like... I guess like Malachite (SU), she and the Curse are both half in control, the beast thing it makes is tearing itself apart, and eventually the curse and Briar both die, or maybe Briar's only ridiculously injured or smth

Finally an HD version of the final boss area.
When that extremely strong attack hit, all my mii's were at 1 hp and then 3 of them protected a team member( they didn't survive that hit) then that team member proceeded to avenge them and did over 500 damage. :/

I'm a 3ds veteran and I learned from past mistakes when doing my 3ds playthrough I didn't upgrade my party's gear enough and thanks to that the darkest lord absolutely wrecked my team didn't make that mistake going into the switch version I was constantly upgrading gear and this time my party swept through the darkest lord
