I love this idea and holding yourself accountable. I was in a reading slump ish mood where i just wanted to binge watch tv instead of picking up a book.
I have read My Dark Vanessa and she does eventually "realise" that it was all abuse (realise is the wrong word because she really knew all along but her subconscious was trying to protect her from it I think). What follows is extremely emotional and, in my opinion, worth sticking around for.
This is such a fun video idea💗 Also love the rainbow Mickey😍 My Dark Vanessa is a weird one, I feel like the main character never truly realises that the teacher was abusing her😬
The post uni book slump is real! I finally feel out of it and it took nearly 3 years 😂 hope this challenge helped! I always listen to audiobooks now so I should try this as well reading physically so I get through things quicker :) - L x
Glad you've made it to the other side, Laura! 💗 Audiobooks have been such a game changer, I've got Circe on the go at the minute and loving it! really catching up on all the big hyped books from the last couple years I missed >w
Let's Pretend this Never Happened by Jenny Lawson is also hilarious. I was in grad school when I read it and it was the first book I made it through in almost 2 years.
