I had Birchbox back in 2021, and I bailed on them that October. I believe the company was sold and they were sending out all kinds of emails and statements about HIPAA regulations, …..and I said why in the world do you need to follow HIPAA regulations ….so I unsubscribed.
I had heard that they did go out of business, but maybe that is just what you were referencing when you said the US versus the UK.
I remember those doctor botanical cleansing bars, yes, they are amazingly awesome !

I subscribed for December only. It's easily the worst box I've ever received - from any company. No packing material, all teeny random weirdness and one of the samples leaked all over. Just terrible. It was discounted but it's not even worth $5. So disappointed.
