I am not a carpenter by any means but I was able to make this simple DIY Nativity Manger in less than 30 minutes and for less than $15 with boards from Home Depot and hardware I already had on hand. Not only is this Manger essential for your Nativity display, it folds away flat for storage! You can also adjust the scale to fit your display. #nativity #manger #christmas

Buy: One 8ft, 1x3 board cut into four 24” strips. One 8ft, 1x2 board cut into six, 17 3/4” strips
I bought 8ft × 1 in × 3in
had it cut to 4, 24 inch
that doesn't seem like that's enough to make the manger is it? Do I need another board?

4- 2ft cuts then six 16 inch cuts
I hope you realize now that you can't get 6,17 in pieces out of an 8 foot board...
So you buy the 2 by 4 then cut small you don't show it so it's confusing to me.

At Home Depot 1in ×3 in ×8 ft board is that correct? Sorry I'm gonna be 59 having hard time remembering my wood shop days of cutting and measuring wood.
