ನಾ ಹೇಳಲಾರೆ ನಾ ತಾಳಲಾರೆ ಹರುಷ ತುಂಬಿ ಬಂದು ಮನದಲಿಂದು ಏನೋ ಕಾತುರ . ಒಲವು ಗೆಲುವು ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಡಾಕ್ಟರ್ ರಾಜಕುಮಾರ್ ರವರು ಹಾಡಿದ ಈ ಹಾಡು ಯಾವಾಗ ಕೇಳಿದರು ತುಂಬಾ ಅದ್ಭುತವಾಗಿ ಇಂಪಾಗಿ ಮೂಡಿಬಂದಿದೆ ಈ ಚಿತ್ರ ಕಥೆ ಯಾಕೆ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂತ ನೀವು ಸರಿಯಾದ ಕಾರಣ ಹೇಳಲೆ ಇಲ್ಲ . ಡಾಕ್ಟರ್ ರಾಜಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರ ಚಿತ್ರದ ಕಥೆ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂದರೆ ಅದು ಅಸಾಧ್ಯವಾದ ಮಾತು ನಾವೆಲ್ಲ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಸಲ ಟೀವಿ ಚಾನಲ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ನೋಡಿದಿವಿ ತುಂಬಾ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಇದೆ . ಕೇವಲ ಹಣ ಗಳಿಸುವುದೆ ಸಿನಿಮಾದ ಉದ್ದೇಶವಲ್ಲ ಎಲ್ಲರ ಮನಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಆ ಚಿತ್ರ ಉಳಿಯುತ್ತದಲ ಅದು ತುಂಬಾ ವಿರಳ ಎನ್ನಬಹುದು ಅದು ಕೆಲವೊಮ್ಮೆ ರಾಜ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ರವರ ಸಿನಿಮಾಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಆಗಿರಬಹುದು ಅಷ್ಟೇ 👍

Olavu geluvu movie was very good b4 interval but just petered in to a below average movie after the intermission. It was like two different stories put in to one. This what we felt when we saw the movie . Surprisingly the director also felt the same.

Bhargava sir .....it's true that first off movie was really good very entertaining film nodtha edhre time hogodhe goth hagalla but 2nd half was out of the syllabus swalpa bore haguthe.. But it's not a flop movie ..songs just refreshing the mind very pleasant.. Lakshmi acting was superb mind blowing very charming heroine..her dress sense was very attractive. Wat a lady she is.. Finally the whole movie is depend on Mr Raj Kumar the legend.. Bcoz of Raj only this movie is not become flop.. producer become safe also.. Wat a acting he done in the movie.. Great.. Well and superb costumes.. Superb.. Raj a romantic hero..hats off..

I just love that movie and watch it very often. I have watched it probably a hundred times. That is the beauty of the movie, that it starts with funny incidents and turns into a serious subject. In those days there were more number of good movies coming every few weeks and may be because of that this movie was not a block buster what we call now. But for Anna's fan like me all his movies are a block busters!!!!!

Let anybody say anything about " Olavu Gelavu " personally for me a film for the intelligent class of that time. A neat and tidy well made movie. Even today worth watchable for its great direction, melodious songs ,needless to mention about the performance of entire star cast especially the ever haunting Tiger Prabhakar's cameo.

Even though Olavu Geluvu is good movie it was not successful because Dr. Rajkumar movies had much more quality those days. But if you release Olavu Geluvu now it will become Blockbuster hit.
Olavu Geluvu is a unique combination of love and suspense... Rajkumar banner realised that there were less number of romantic thrillers in Kannada..so they thought of bringing more such movies in Kannada... While Premada Kaanike starts as a thriller and ends up as a romantic movie.. Olavu Geluvu starts as a romantic movie and ends as a thriller..
Don't know why it didn't go to expected level.. A famous telephone sequence from this movie was copied in a Dilip Kumar Hindi movie...But Rajkumar banner took it is a challenge and years later made the super hit Chalisuva Modagalu which also starts as a love story and turns into a thriller in the second half... Similar to how when Sakshatkara made on the concept of horoscope flopped, they took it as a challenge and years later made Shruthi Seridaga on a similar theme and churned out a hit..

ಚಿತ್ರ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿದೆ. ಉತ್ತರಾಧ೯ ಇನ್ನೂ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಲಿಂಕ್ ಆಗಬಹುದಿತ್ತು.
ಕಥೆ ಚನ್ನಾಗಿದೆ. Screenplay ಸೆಕೆಂಡ್ half ಚನ್ನಾಗಿಲ್ಲ.ಒಲವು ಗೆಲುವು first half ತುಂಬಾ ಚನ್ನಾಗಿದೆ. Second half ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ slow ಅಷ್ಟೇ. ಅದ್ರಲ್ಲಿ ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಮೈನಸ್ ಪಾಯಿಂಟ್ background music.
But ಇವಾಗ ಅದನ್ನ ನೋಡಿದ್ರೆ ಅದು really ಚನ್ನಾಗಿದೆ. ಅಣ್ಣನ career ಗೇ ಅದು ಬೇಕಿತ್ತು. ಒಬ್ಬ ಇಂಗ್ಲೀಷ್ proffesor ಆಗಿ ಅಣ್ಣನ ಅಭಿನಯ ಸೂಪರ್.

Olavu gelavu is a beautiful film. Entertaining, good music, wonderful story, super acting and direction. I have watched it several times on TH-cam. I don't know why Bhargava sir is saying it's not a good movie. May be, it lacked proper promotion. But I loved the movie.

Olavu Gelavu is a fairly decent movie and I have watched it many times. All songs are melodious.. The concept where in heroine rejects Rajanna didn't go well with the expectations of Raj fans. Stiff collared character of the hero lacking the usual histrionics of Annavaru was not met with favoured response by common man. It is still a good movie for the intellectual class..

Olavu gelavu first half is super, Rajkumar entry scene is fabulous, Especially Camera focus on Rajkumar face while he is riding scooter. All the four songs are Good, New for that time, credits should be given to GK Venkatesh.
