I followed your instructions and completed my very first full project! Thank you so much for taking the time to do this! I do have some errors in it...I have a hard time when reversing work as to what side I'm actually supposed to be on, but I'm going to rewatch this and do it again!!
I TAT EVERYTHING THE FIRST TIME WITH A VERY BIG NEEDLE AND BIG THREAD... THAT WAY I CAN SEE REALLY GOOD WHAT I AM DOING AND THEN I MOVE TO SMALLER AND SMALLER NEEDLES AND THREAD TO MAKE SURE THAT I AM UNDERSTANDING WHAT I AM LEARNING... THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL THAT YOU TEACH US... BLESSINGS & BE HOPE FILLED FRANKI
I really really love your creations . For a newbie like me , you are the Goddess of Needle Tatting .Really Maria you are all over TH-cam and the Instagram with your talent and teaching skill .I request you to add more how- to -do videos for more patterns of needle tatting. Great work.
This is my first ever tatting project! I'm using crochet thread though, so I can really see what's going on. I had to start over *so many* times lol, it's been a real struggle over the last couple of days, but I finally finished the first part! It is *extremely* wonky, the chains especially are all uneven and different lengths (a tension issue, the long ones are much looser than the short ones), and I'd already finished the last ring before I came back to the video so I'm missing that last join... but it's my very first one, I figure it can be a bit wonky 😂
Maria, I am just a beginner Tatter. I am wanting your advice on what size tatting needle I can use with a Metallic Crochet Thread size 10 and avoid the metallic thread from fraying away from the cotton thread its intertwined with. I'm hoping to do your snowflake with the metallic thread.
Hi Wanda, it's very hard to work with that kind of thread. I have only used metallic thread once to make some earrings and it was very hard to work with. I am sorry but I can't really give you any advice.
Thank you for understanding my problem. I'll continue watching your videos due to you are an excellent teacher and I can actually feel confident that I will get this problem resolved
Your demo would have been a lot better if you used a Would’ve been a lot better if you use the largest thread and put up your size your stitches and stuff I’m very
Ho Maria. When the work is large like a doily, do you need to leave a big loop at the beginning? how long and how do you judge how much you need? Also this means every time you have to pass that long loop into the work? thank you in advance
I have wanted to do a snowflake since that was what first made me fall in love with tatting. Thank you so much, I will be eagerly awaiting the second part. BTW love your channel and I hope to see it continue to grow!

Leena David Sen Agree!!😃👍🏼🧶🧶🧶👸🏻come back soon Maria!🙇🏽♀️
Some youtubers are using -with the tatting thread, a fishing line or beading thread to give it the stiff stability it needs.
would love to see this snow flake dibe as the center of a doily, Think it would make a great winter doily.

Sorry no I don’t.
Hi Maria, I love your videos. Would it be possible for you to make a cross that can be framed?
I will keep it in mind 😉

Maria, do you have a PDF pattern of this beautiful Snowflake that I can buy?
I am sorry... I do not have written patterns for any of my tutorials.
@@MariaPapia ok. I'll listen to the upload again and try to repeat and tatt along with you.

All purpose thread ( sewing thread)

Are you asking how long of a tail to start a project?
yes
Know how much tail to leave in my opinion comes with pratice. But don't worry you can always add more thread 😉
yes. how to add more thread
Here is one of my tutorials on how to add more thread th-cam.com/video/ZALNGsF2yYg/w-d-xo.html

Part 2 and 3 are already available 😉
Maria Papia I just saw that, yippie!
Could you be having problems cause it's sewing thread not tatting thread?
I imagine that this is the same reason you could not find a thread size
Maria. You are AWESOME. Thank you for all you share and teach me 😊
Is there a written pattern or chart for this?
No, my friend gave me this snowflake and I ask for the pattern but she didn't have it.
I guess I can watch the videos and write out the pattern myself. I don't want to keep starting and stopping the video as I tat along with it.
