It sucks when you don't have a lot of money to invest during this bear market. I think I should save up as much as I can and accumulate for the long term from 2022 to beyond the halving in 2024.
I would consider looking for bargains like Doge, it's really cheap and bound to double in short order.. If you invest in the Stock market you'll be lucky to make 5%. Doge is 8 cents!! You don't need much money and OK if it goes down to 6 cents you are not losing too much.. But if it goes to 10 cents then your a winner and it more likely to go up than down at the price it is now...

100%, those of us in for the long-term are still hodl'ing, just like our plans were before. this is sussing out the credit takers and short-term day traders mostly. if you were taking on high risk crypto in a substantial proportion and you are in/near retirement, that is on you. yes, people have gotten lucky, but trying to be a hero usually gets you killed. tried and true long-term plans, dollar cost averaging, diversifying, etc.... all better plans for sustained growth. Also, is the problem with "greedy when others are fearful" is that Buffett is a billionaire with idle cash at all times. the majority of investors don't have a stash of cash just sitting on the sideline for years, awaiting a bear market or dip - and no, you shouldn't be liquidating your emergency funds in hopes the knife has topped falling. and if you do have idle cash just sitting, you missed even more gains waiting years for now (missed BTC at $5K-$10K or less for example). or you could have been one of those savvy investors who held the "stable coin" UST waiting for this dip and really lost money. if you have a large income, then yes, you can maybe set aside more of your income towards investments. with inflation on everything else in life, the average investor is just keeping up with the usual dollar cost averaging, if they can even do that. maybe you can look at your portfolio and rebalance trading down investment for another down investment, but don't feel bad that you don't have stacks of cash sitting on the sideline like a billionaire... most of us are right there with you.
Only thing I don't agree with is lack of empathy for those that did take the gamble. Especially when crypto was being pushed so hard for so long by so many. I didn't buy Luna, but feel for those who did. That goes double for those closing in on retirement who, if they haven't made it by now, are very unlikely to have a second chance at a Hail Mary play that will have them facing their future without daily fear.
These videos are so much more pleasant to me than the scripted ones. The scripted ones I'd far rather read then listen. These flow as a conversation would and are easier to listen and absorb the message... :) Either way, thank you so much.

"Paper hands" means selling when the price drops which is not generally a good thing to do as part of a strategy. it's a better strategy to take profits on the way up. Of course selling sooner in a climate with bad macro factors can be a good idea, it depends on the investment time frame also.

First of all it's a zero sum game. Many people lost money with Terra but many also made a lot of money. Second, in a bear market you can make money by shorting. It's the same as in a bull market. So it is not impossible to make money. Don't know why you said that.
Initially, I invested ~US$600 (decent money in our country) which became US$100. Then I added US$400 more, now I have US$400 lol. Lost all that money due to being a newb who was lured in by all the hype during that Oct-Nov phase. While I'm still pretty clueless on research and TA skills - I know I have time on my side this time. All the best to everyone.
I don’t think this bear market would be very long, 2018/19 bear market was almost 40% shorter than 2014/15/16 bear market. I think despite the horrible situation of traditional market this bear market would be shorter, because of crypto adaptation and more interest/ awareness among retail investors.
Agree 100%. Even if this bear market cycle does play out to be longer the next BTC halving in 2024 isn't that far away. And the peak of the next bull market probably in q3-4 of 2025 will come around quickly. Now is a great time to accumulate and HODL.

For me I will keep dca’ing into crypto. If I can semi retire (leave the high stress/high paying job) in 3-5 years, I will have succeeded.
