    The toxic fans don't really represent the fandom, imo. They're on another level. As long as you're respectful and give her an honest chance, real Swifties will not swarm you with negativity. What really makes us happy is seeing her get recognition for the brilliant artist and performer she is. She's SO much more than how she's portrayed in the media. And if you keep diving into her music/performances, I think you'll see how kind and welcoming this fandom really is.

    Just a note: Taylor, like many women, is reduced to her dating activity and her work is dismissed. Male singer/songwriters do the same without the criticism. Women artists routinely are asked questions that are NEVER asked of male artists. Taylor unlike many, unlike many other female artists calls out the media for their sexism and misogyny to their face. This is why she has such hate even when doing well and why people who are fans or merely appreciate her are protective and excited by her. Btw, the Reputation tour was in 2018! Definitely not the peak of her career. She has been breaking all-time records left and right in 2023.

    In an interview Taylor Swift said “I’m not naturally edgy, sexy or cool”. The interviewer asked, “then what are you?” “I’m imaginative, smart, and hardworking and those things are not necessarily prioritized in pop culture”. Her fans know exactly that Taylor Swift is such a dork.
    If we talk about who’s better prformer it would be based on subjective opinion cause people tend to have different opinions. For me, I think Taylor Swift is better performer than other artists because Taylor Swift is a full package as a true artist and performer. Taylor Swift can sing with her self written songs+album (Something that most artists can’t relate since they couldn’t even make a self written song+album in their entire career), Taylor Swift can sing while playing multiple instruments (electric/acoustic guitar, piano, banjo, ukulele, etc.) LIVE in full stadium tour (something that most artists can’t relate since they are not multi instrumentalists). Moreover, Taylor Swift can sing more than 3.5 hours long set without a break except custume changes, also Taylor Swift can sing with a theatrical approach (basic dancing moves+big production value). But if we talk about who’s the greatest touring act in history of music then the answer is Taylor Swift cause the numbers don’t lie (real impact from cultural+global impact, economy impact, educational impact, etc.). For the comparison: Taylor Swift (60 shows): >$1 billion VS Elton John (330 shows): $900 million according to Pollstar, Bloomberg, Forbes, etc. for the top 2 Highest Grossing Tour Of All Time.
    Taylor Swift’s somehow a beautiful superhuman genius and a down to earth dork at the same time. As someone said that “All great art is the art that sees you”. And I kinda agree with that since I can see myself from listening and reading the lyrics of her songs. You never know which one you will get so we hang on her every word and live for her next move.

    I’m a 49 year old classic rock/hard rock/grunge fan and a proud swiftie! Let the artist do the talking and judge only by the music! She’s wonderful and very talented! Check out the live in Sydney version of Out of the Woods. It’s mesmerizing 😊❤

      When I came to your post and aside from the 49 I kept looking at the name wondering if I posted even though I am older.
      I am a rock, hard rock, classic punk and grunge fan. Led Zeppelin is my favorite band and has been since I was a teen. But, from the few videos I have seen of Taylor Swift trying to puzzle out why she is seen in such a bad way by media but, not an artist like Beyonce. So, she has my respect and I have liked the videos I have seen. I see her as smart, clever and very talented.

    I think you’re confusing online trolls with fans. Swifties are incredibly welcoming, kind, and encouraging. I’m an OG Swiftie and have never met a bad fan. The amount of love the Swifties showed my husband and daughter (my daughter is finally old enough and outgrown her sensory issues to go to concerts) on the Eras tour was amazing. A Taylor Swift show isn’t just a concert, it’s an experience for sure. Welcome to the TS journey, it’s a fun one to take!! 🎉🎉

      I'm really happy to hear that you and your family had a great time! I'm a bit curious about your daughters sensory issues. If I may ask and you really don't have to answer because I know it's a personal question but is that just smth she has or does she have a diagnosis of some sort? I couldn't help but ask because I have ADD (ADHD without the "H", also called "quiet ADHD" where I'm from but idk if that's smth people do other places) so I can relate to being sensitive to loud noises and many people and such. I just couldn't help but smile at your comment. I'm really happy for her! (Again, sorry if I'm overstepping. I mean all this with a kind heart🤗)

    "And I've said, I don't like her because I've never listened to her." How often have I heard that or similar comments prefacing a very first reaction video from others? Others, after their second or third reaction to some of Taylor's enormous catalog, come to realize what an incredible artist she actually is. But by then, it's already too late. They've taken their first steps down the rabbit hole. There's no turning back at that point. The hook has literally been placed, and they're compelled to keep going. Maybe the same fate awaits you. Or not. Only time will tell.

    Welcome! Taylor Swift is not just an amazing songwriter/singer but she is an all around sweet, supportive person who LOVES her fans. She goes out of her way to make sure she thanks her fans, she surprises fans, she has “swiftmas” where she wraps presents herself and sends them to people who follow her.
    I personally would watch Miss Americana or a video of who she is as a person before moving on with your journey. People have this misconception of her just because she’s been successful for so long.
    Excited to watch your journey! Us swifties will welcome you with open arms!☺️✨🫶🏼

    I think she has been "at her peak" for the last decade, that fans just love her so fucking much and won't let it go. she went on this reputation tour almost six years ago and think about it, she was playing stadiums exclusively six years ago already

    • @Emma_kj3nj
      @Emma_kj3nj 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Actually, she's been playing stadiums since her Speak Now international tour. There's a 2011 article by Rolling Stones called 'Taylor Swift on her Speak Now tour" talking about Taylor playing Madison Square Garden and selling out arenas and stadiums around the world. The Speak Now, Red, and 1989 tours were all international stadium tours prior to the Reputation tour. Her first album went Platinum in 8 months, she won the CMA Horizon award and the Nashville Songwriters Assn International Songwriter/Artist of the Year in 2007. In 2009, she won CMA Entertainer of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year, International Artist Achievement Award, Album of the Year, and Music Video of the Year. Also, in 2009 she won her first of seven AMA Artist of the Year awards. The other nominees were Michael Jackson, Eminem, Kings of Leon, and Lady Gaga!! She also won her 2nd Nashville Songwriters Assn International Songwriter/Artist of the Year in 2009. By 2010, she won her first four Grammy's including Album of the Year. Her career has been on a skyrocketing trajectory since the beginning!

  • @terryturkington1293

    She does all her singing, live with no recording behind her for back up. She writes all her songs. And she doesn’t do any more writing about love life than most other singers.

  • @Augustine0899

    also, as a normal fan - taylor has a lot of interesting music and there's a good amount of variety in it. also, yeah it is super interesting how she's peaking now, 17 years into her career. that is very rare as a pop act, but i think thats in part due to the fact she is always willing and ready to pivot/ reinvent herself. hope you get good recs to check out her discography and find some songs you like! :)

    • @SouthernArtist77
      @SouthernArtist77 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      She’s not just one sort of artist now, she “invents herself” over and over because she used to try and please her critics, now she’s laughing at them, laughing all the way to the bank.

  • @VictorHarbour
    @VictorHarbour 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +15

    It’s all too common to hear “I’ve never liked her and I never heard much of her music”.
    If I can’t name even a couple of tangible reasons as to why I don’t like an artist while not being aware of their art, it’s time to check my biases.
    I hope you give her a chance. She might not need another fan considering how popular she is, but you’d probably be missing out! She’s a great singer and musician, an incredible performer and an unbelievable songwriter.
    Don’t let trolls ruin your fun, swifties can be defensive but they’re mostly very sweet and love nothing more than people giving Taylor a try 😉

  • @annietrahan7322
    @annietrahan7322 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +24

    You’re on reputation era you need to do I Did Something Bad next. It’s really good too. A lot of people don’t really know that she not only is a tremendous artist in lyricist she writes songs for other people you wouldn’t know like Rihanna Little Big Town she’s wrote some for some big people.

  • @SouthernArtist77
    @SouthernArtist77 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +16

    She’s not just one sort of artist now, she “invents herself” over and over because she used to try and please her critics, now she’s laughing at them, laughing all the way to the bank. Like Taylor said herself “if a woman doesn’t reinvent herself, she’s out of a job.” She’s a billionaire for her music alone, that’s rare if not a first.

    I agree with @IvyCowboy. Please don’t think the toxic fans or the fans who think she never makes a bad song, never does anything wrong, etc., represent the fandom- they’re just the loudest fans. There are plenty of us who enjoy hearing people’s honest opinions- even if they’re critical. I think I can speak for a lot of us when I say that the only time I get “angry” is when people are ultra-negative or cruel when it’s clear they’ve never even given her a chance. Thanks for your reaction!

      @DannyGoldstein 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Exactly! As someone who's been a swiftie since 2008, even I have some songs of hers that I don't love all that much. It really just depends on the attitude you put out as a reactor that determines the response from the fans. If you say that you honestly weren't vibing with a song but that it's not bad, it's just not your taste in music, 99% of swifties aren't going to come after you. It's when you start throwing around stuff like "this is trash" and "why would anyone listen to this garbage", then you're gonna set off the "crazy swftie army" 💀 But honestly, I think that goes for most fanbases in general lol
      You just hear about it being a bigger problem among Taylor Swift fans because of how absolutely massive her fanbase is

  • @ladyvader139

    I've been to literally hundreds of concerts, but I've never felt such a joyous atmosphere as when I saw the Eras Tour. The shared love between T.S. and the fans is simultaneously warm and electrifying. This is why you see so much emotion in the crowd.

  • @spicykimbap99
    @spicykimbap99 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

    there is so much to unpack here oh boy. she is honestly so talented and she is a songwriter in the truest form, above everything else, she is a songwriter and a fantastic one. She has had so many ERAS in music, where she has crossed several genres. like in every fucking fandom, there are toxic people period. this performance is from her reputation album, by far the most edgy and in your face era because she was dealing with lots of shit from the media and it was her response/ comeback. she is actually is sweetheart and in my opinion, her with just a guitar (OG Taylor Swift) is that girl we all fell in love with. I think that's when she shines the absolute brightest

  • @bonnieflynn4798

    The point about heartbreak songs. Well The Rolling Stones, Beatles etc have sung about women and conquests forever, but a woman who dates and writes about it gets all kinds of negative press. She’s been told to settle down. She dates too much.
    Hum nobody ever told Mick Jagger that. And as for her fans. Hum. There are 70,000 there in this video and I’m sure you would like some of them.
    If music moves you to tears damn that’s a good thing. Taylor is a genius storyteller. She has written 10 of the largest selling albums in history.

      Bon Jovi said he's slept with 100 women (I think he's underestimating) and it gets almost no news. Taylor dates 12 guys and there's a million articles about her love life and constant degrading comments online. It's ridiculous. I've dated more than 12 guys. This is not abnormal dating.

    Glad you checked her out. This is one of my absolute favorites. Real swifties are kind, open and fiercely protective of her because she's been put through alot and completely unfairly. The ones that aren't are not true swifties. I hope you do more by her because I've seen some reactors pages double and triple in size (when they do alot of hers)all because of how many of us will check her reaction videos out. Her shows are absolutely incredible!! I've been to several including this one and more recently the Eras tour. Everyone is usually blown away and totally caught off guard by their misconceptions of her. ☺️👍

    You really Need to see the documentary. I think you’ll understand her a lot better. She is ridiculously talented and is a prolific songwriter. She’s worked her ass off since she was 13. As a musician/songwriter/singer etc I have huge respect for her. She constantly re-invents herself and her sound. That’s how she’s still so popular. Woman works ludicrously hard and has had to put up with a ton of blst and had to go to court due being sexually assaulted. It’s not easy being her at all. She’s earned everything she has the hard way - her current tour is a 3.5hr concert. Sung live.

I think non swift fans don’t realize how diverse her music is until they delve in and the fact that she writes the vast majority of it and she plays 5 different instruments. People assume all of her songs are about breakups when that is 1000% false. You can’t judge any artist by their singles because oftentimes they aren’t even their best songs, they themselves don’t particularly like the singles & the song that are authentically them are buried within their albums never to be released. Many songs that people may hear & interpret as a song about an ex isn’t even that. She has songs about friendships & professional relationships gone bad. This album is mostly about love, people gossiping about her, & lost friends.

  • @lostandfawned
    @lostandfawned 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +13

    You mention Rihanna being a favorite. Did you know she wrote and her vocals sampled on “This is what you came for”? Haha.
    And I think the misconception that she only writes break up songs is because she’s high profile (therefore her relationships are highly publicized), she writes songs explicitly about lived experiences and don’t do a lot of veiling about that and her break ups songs are GREAT. Like she has a gift for expressing emotions through lyrics and heartbreak is great fodder for songwriters in general. She does also have a deep catalog and covers a lot of other topics. Her coming of age songs are always amazing too.

    I understand where you're coming from. i've been a swiftie since around 2010 and you're right there are a lot of swifties who are too much and annoying. because Taylor has been around since 2006 we feel like we grew up alongside with her (i'm a 34 y.o. guy whose been a taylor fan since her early work bc she's the same age as me). but along the years her reach to a a bigger audience has become really something else. Taylor has fans from all age groups. she still manages to grab onto little kids from ages 5-10 and also teenagers but she also has the 20's and 30's y.o. who grew up with her music. but yeah, I think her younger fans tend to be more on the annoying side bc they feel the need to "defend" her.
    Taylor has done only stadium tours since the reputation tour. her current tour (The eras tour) has attendance of 70k+ people each night. and she's playing each city at least 2-3 times. in LA at SoFi stadium she played 6 nights in a row, all sold out with attendance of 70k+ people each night. she's playing in Singapore in February and doing 6 nights there as well, in wembley stadium she's doing 8 nights. she's actually had a really big peak in popularity in 2014 and 2015. she was everywhere back then, but this year has topped that by a mile so her current tour is massive. it's actually the highest grossing tour in history with 1 billion dollar in grossing (the first time in history an artist passed the 1 billion tour gross). with only 60 shows. and she has another 80+ shows in 2024.
    Now to the music. each of Taylor's albums has different sound. she once said "when people tell me I love this album, I don't take that as 'great, so I should make the same album again' I take that as good, then I should make another different album, but make you like it just as much but for different reasons". I like this quote because she has been producing so many albums. some are great and some not so much (in my opinion). but she gives us so much to enjoy. I think most of the swifties would agree that Taylor's deep cuts are much better than her singles choices. because she picks the most ear warming and catchy songs as singles to make the general public want to listen to the album. she's totally an album artist rather than a singles artist. the stereotype of her writing all about breakups and love like you said, is a stereotype. she does write a lot about love and relationships but she gets the most flack for it out all the big artists. Adele and Ed Sheeran write about love all the time, they don't get as half as much of the backlash she gets. and it's because she's dating famous guys, so it becomes a joke to people "oh, she's gonna write a song about you"
    anyways, if you're interested in reacting to more Taylor, here are a few recommendations (i'm sending you a mix of slow songs and upbeat cause i'm not sure what you'll like better. but it also shows what Taylor as an artist is like). hope you'll keep reacting to Taylor. :)

    This earned you a sub. I truly hope this inspires you to check more of her stuff out. You have a plethora of genres to pick from with Taylor, it's not just all pop - hence her eras tour being so entertaining. She's tried country, rap, pop and indie folk. Like someone else said, maybe watch the Miss Americana documentary as a reaction video. We'd ALL tune in fo that and you'd get more of an idea of who she is before continuing on your Taylor journey.

    While there are a great many teenagers in the fan base, there are people who are fans that are much more mature. Taylor is credited for saving the country music industry. She brought in younger females, an overlooked audience in country music - whereas the females in country music were older. She also has won the most Grammies for album of the year for females. She writes and directs many of her music videos. She pulled her music from Spotify until they corrected what they were paying to musicians. I think Apple didn’t wait until she got to them 😂. If you search for “Taylor Swift reactions” , you’ll see vocal coaches, other musicians, and TH-cam creators generally. This is just a little bit to learn about her✌️

    We are mostly kind and welcoming! The thing to know about Taylor is that she started first as a songwriter and then became a well-respected country artist at 16 before moving into pop. Her music encompasses so many genres at this point. Most importantly and impressively, she was the first artist to write her own music, from her own personal experiences, as she grew up. Many of her fans, who are largely women, are the same age and grew up along side her. There is such a deep connection with her fans. What really sets her apart to me is her ability to own the stage on a big tour like this one, with full production and dancers. But then you could watch a video of her sitting there playing and singing with just a guitar and it will be almost better. Her gift is storytelling. Truly a special artist.

    So I love her. Always have. I was really excited about her because my mom was originally excited about her when her first country song came out. We used to buy her CDs and try to decode her lyrics after a thorough listen to the music. It was something that was just hers and mine. My mom is dead now and I know that my mom was cheering Taylor on through this current karmic need to be a vigilante...and take only so much BS before you feed it right on back. My mom believed in being sweet until she needed to give out sour.
    And being a fan means that you should have a wall between you and your entertainment. We might know her but we don't know ALL of her and we shouldn't. Admiration is not obsession. People who call themselves "Stan's", don't understand the full meaning or they would never...

    Honestly, Taylor Swift fans are too sophisticated and intelligent to be obnoxious. We don't consider trolls actual fans. Her fans wouldn't want to embarrass her with bad behaviour. That's the difference between real fans and trolls. We welcome reviewers with an honest opinion. We know she's absolutely brilliant but we're still interested in hearing what people have to say when they give her music a try. Anyone who takes the time to listen to her talk in interviews, reads her lyrics, listens to the music and watches her perform will, at very least, walk away with a healthy respect for how incredibly articulate, intelligent and talented she is and admire what she's accomplished, even if they feel her music doesn't align with their musical tastes. It's unlikely though, because her music is undeniably good.
    The Reputation album and tour were so important to Taylor and to the fans because it was her comeback after a year and a half of radio silence. Thanks to the media, people who didn't really know much about her, or, had dismissed her because they only knew her radio hits, had a preconceived notion of who she was by the media's skewed portrayal of her - that's what the beginning of the Reputation Tour video was about. Kanye West and Kim Kardashian added to the negative "conversation" about her by framing her in the lie that she approved the lyric in his song Famous "I made that bitch famous" when she hadn't.
    At that time the Wests wanted to link Taylor's name once again with Kanye's so he could ride the coattails of her success because of the stellar reviews of 1989. He wanted to recreate the media attention and notoriety he had received back in 2009 when he took the mic away from her only this time, he wanted to paint her as the villain and himself as the innocent pawn. They, along with Kanye's manager at the time, Scooter Braun, plotted and hatched a nefarious scheme, to create a false narrative, by recording Taylor agreeing to one thing, then edit the video to look like she'd agreed to another. All this was in order to manufacture a controversy and use the hoopla and headlines it created to generate the publicity he so desperately needed for his Yeezy Season 3 fashion line and his mediocre album Life of Pablo, both of which he debuted in the days leading up to the 2016 Grammy Awards where Taylor was nominated in 9 categories and won three Grammys including, Album Of The Year for 1989.
    Kim and Kanye tried to ruin Taylor's reputation and her career with their lies and deserve nothing but contempt for being the unscrupulous and unmitigated media whores they are. Taylor was vindicated 4 years later when the actual recording of the infamous phone call was leaked proving what her fans already knew - that it was Kim and Kanye who had lied, not Taylor. At the time, Kardashian added insult to injury by calling her a snake on social media, unleashing her moronic sycophants who all tweeted snake emoji's at Taylor. Taylor, who, according to the Chinese zodiac was born in the year of the snake, took the title they gave her, Queen of Snakes, and made the most of it, going so far as to have an animatronic cobra on stage called Karyn, so named, because all the Kardashian's names start with K.
    So, "Let the games begin" is Taylor throwing down the gauntlet and clapping back. It was the biggest comeback ever. She not only survived but has outperformed every other artist since in album sales and ticket sales to her tours. Reputation was, at the time, the highest grossing tour of all time surpassed only by The Eras Tour 5 years later. When Midnights was released, every song in the top 10 was hers. Since Reputation, Taylor Swift was been honored by Billboard with the first-ever, Woman of the Decade Award, for being "one of the most accomplished musical artists of all time over the course of the 2010s", by the AMAs for Artist of the Decade for being the artist to have won the most AMA awards with 40 wins, Time Magazine's Person Of The Year Award this year and, Time Magazine's 2019 Top 100 most influential people in the world as well as a Grammy for Album of The Year for the third time in her career with Folklore.

    The only thing that gets me worked up when it comes to comments made about Taylor are the ones rooted in misogyny. A lot of people project their internalized misogynistic thoughts onto Taylor because she's famous and she won't see them but her female fanbase does. Making comments like she's only dating Travis Kelce so she can write breakup songs is so old and minimizes everything she's done in her career. When I see that, I see them actually saying that women can't be defined by their hard work and accomplishments, only their relationship status. I don't think a lot of these people are being malicious but the fact that they choose to believe stereotypes of female artists instead of looking into her work themselves tells me they have some sexist tendencies. Other than that, it's all love.

    With all do respect you need to expand your mind a bit when coming to Taylor, she’s a REAL ARTIST, she’s a person who you would lock up in a room and she’ll come back with a full produced/composed, sing, visuals and performance of a song. She has the singer songwriter (she got a songwriter contract at 14 at Sony, the youngest ever in history) musical prowess PLUS the performer/super star power that can hold a show for 76k people every night. Usually those comes separate. About the jokes on the fandom we don’t take it as much because Taylor like no other artist NO OTHER has received more backlash and hate. So we’re like, come on let’s grow up and haters don’t like that and they gaslight us. Taylor even tho is pop, she’s also country and indie folk having mastered the sound in those 3 respective genres and given the recognition for her musicianship from her peers with the album of the year in those 3 different genres, which is pretty cool because the peers vote for that specific award.

    Taylor doesn’t have a stable of writers. She gets a berserk or idea and starts writing and has a trusted couple of people who help her flesh it out. Some people keep a journal & she has written songs about far more than relationships. She’s written songs that talk about friendships & she’s written songs to her fans. What you hear & see is her vision & she has a solid team that helps her bring it to life. She recently gave 100 K + Bonuses to each of the truckers who were moving her 2 sets across the US for that leg of the Eras tour. That says something. She takes care of all of her people.
    She has been very engaged with her real fan base from the start leaving little clues & Easter eggs in videos as to what she’s doing next. Many have grown up with her. She writes songs based on feelings they’ve all experienced.
    Look up the eras tour. How many stadiums around the globe and how many songs she’s performing at each one. Your mind will be absolutely blown. 🤯

    So a couple of things. There may be some bad fans -- I don't know because I'm not a Swifty -- but a lot of her biggest fans are young girls who are not only inspired by her music, but her success. It's great to see such a successful artist & business woman being a huge inspiration to young women & girls all over the world.
    Secondly, everyone comments about her writing "break-up or relationship ship songs." But what artists don't? They may not be as well publicized, but another of songs in history are written about specific situations/relationships in the artists life. So why should she be different? Just because she's Taylor Swift?
    Thirdly, I am not a big pop music fan -- mostly rock & country. But several of Taylor's songs have an edgier feel to them that make them more appealing to me.
    Anyway, glad you're being open minded. Enjoy the journey.

    Perhaps the most important thing to know at this point is that her music ranges over several styles and genres. What you just saw is one of my favorite eras, but not necessarily my favorite era. For what it’s worth here is a list that contains examples of her wide-range in music:
    Folk or Alt-folk:
    Exile (Long Pond Sessions)
    th-cam.com/video/o5SQIECedTY/w-d-xo.html
    My Tears Ricochet (Long Pond Sessions)

    Taylor Swift - the lakes (Official Lyric Video)
    th-cam.com/video/tOHcAc3r2kw/w-d-xo.html
    Kinda hard to categorize this one (jazz/pop?):
    Taylor Swift - "False God" (Live on Saturday Night Live / 2019)
    th-cam.com/video/kjD3LoXp-Pw/w-d-xo.html
    Country/singer-songwriter:
    All Too Well (Live From The 56th GRAMMYs 2014)
    th-cam.com/video/vQI67092qvI/w-d-xo.html
    Taylor Swift - Run (Taylor's Version) (From The Vault) (Lyric Video) ft. Ed Sheeran
    th-cam.com/video/flv8AEWrRMI/w-d-xo.html
    Soul/pop? - Not sure what to call this:
    Don't Blame Me - Taylor Swift • Reputation Tour
    th-cam.com/video/seOJleBbf-U/w-d-xo.html
    Acoustic (mostly “Lover” era, which is generally “pop” but…)
    NPR Tiny Desk Concert
    th-cam.com/video/FvVnP8G6ITs/w-d-xo.html
    Singer/Songwriter:
    Taylor Swift - ‘tolerate it’ (Eras Tour Movie)
    www.tiktok.com/@swiftiesupremacy013/video/7262755995053477126?lang=en
    And for some laughs, here is her iconic Saturday Night Live opening:
    Taylor Swift Monologue Song - SNL
    th-cam.com/video/W2twcSFYlt0/w-d-xo.html
    And she has a bunch of amazing music videos. If you have not seen any, then you are in for an incredible journey.

    Of course we don’t have to agree! How boring would the world be if everyone agreed all the time? You’re correct in saying the key is respect. We’re all entitled to our own opinions but NOT our own made up “facts”. Check out Taylor’s history, the facts about Kanye & Kim’s actions, which were laden with deceit & spite, & of course check out Taylor’s music, her lyrics, her talent. She really is incredibly talented, not to mention beautiful & kind hearted. When you actually look, the reason she’s so loved becomes clear, as does the reason for the vitriol she endures, jealousy is a nasty, cruel & self motivated emotion, it’s the one fuelling a lot of the hate thrown at Taylor. When you genuinely look at Taylor’s career, you’ll see how obvious the reason is for all that jealousy, she has the looks, the talent & the success, the haters don’t! That is all.

    You can enjoy her music and not interact with the fandom. But, that will be impossible to do if you do reactions to her stuff. Lol
    Taylor likes to entertain her fans, so gives her all in her performances.
    Writing songs helps her process what's happening in her life, so there will be a lot of emotional stuff, but they're not all about romance. She does write songs that aren't about her experiences though. Folklore and Evermore albums are mostly free of autobiographical stuff.
    She has as live band and backup singers at all her performances,unless it's just her and acoustic. Most of her band has been with her since the beginning. Her backup singers and several dancers have been with her fir a long time. They're like a big family

    Thank you for being up front about your misconceptions about Taylor & the Swifties. Yes, we are a powerful group who are fiercely protective of our girl. But think about a woman in your life whether it's a sister or a mother, or a friend and imagine that they were super talented but groomed by a 32-year-old when they were only 20 and then slut shamed for any relationship they had after that and their talent was dismissed by everybody because they weren't male. After witnessing the pain of whoever you're thinking of that has gone through anything like Taylor has, would you find yourself being very protective of that person?
    Don't get me wrong, there are definitely some trolls within the fan base but they are not Swifties! Taylor does not condone any type of bullying or intimidation and if people are doing that they are not supportive of Taylor, they're just jumping on the bandwagon! If you're going to keep going down this Rabbit Hole of the Taylor Swift catalog then let me give you a few pointers that will help you along the way. First, get rid of that thing you hear in your head from everybody around you saying all Taylor writes about is breakups. This is a completely sexist thing that people say considering Drake, Ed Sheeran, and Bruno Mars all write about their relationships but nobody calls them out for it- they only call out females, especially Taylor.
    She writes about her life experiences so yes that includes things about relationships but she has also written about her mother's Cancer, a 4 year old boy dying of cancer and how his mother handled it, a friend who was so depressed that eventually he committed suicide, coping with being sexually assaulted, dealing with having an eating disorder because of the slut shaming and the body shaming from the media, her grandfather who was a soldier in World War II, the amazing medical people who were working during covid-19, a tribute to her grandmother, how wonderful it was to grow up on a Christmas tree farm, LGBTQ+ rights, friendship, the loss of innocence, the Relentless media and hater attention that is constantly coming her way because she's a woman in this industry and she's successful- need I go on?
    Second, even though you currently don't know much about Taylor, you need to put some respect on her name because nobody in the music industry is going to put out 10 number one albums that have sold over a million copies in their first week and broken as many records as she has by just being mediocre and having a crazy fan base. She's also gone to bat for all artists to get more compensation for their work through streaming services, literally has class courses that are being taught at schools like Harvard and Stanford etc about her songwriting ability, her being a musical savant and how brilliant of a businesswoman she is!
    Lastly, she's just a good human being. When the Eras tour in the US finished at the end of the summer, she gave out $55 million in bonuses to everybody who had anything to do with the US leg of the tour! From truck drivers to Caterers to her cast, crew, bandmates, you name it! Over the years she has personally purchased Christmas and Hanukkah gifts for fans, helped pay people's tuitions and just with the Eras tour, for every single stop of the concert, she quietly donated a quarter of a million dollars to the local charities in that City! There's literally nobody else like her doing what she's doing as far as her success but also as far as her kindness!
    If you go into the reactions with an attitude of respect, even if you don't really like one of the songs, as long as you're not bad-mouthing her or dismissing her because of her being a female songwriter, nobody's going to come after you (or very few people will come after you) as we're very supportive and we love watching new people discover Taylor because it's like getting to hear her stuff for the first time again!
    Let us know what type of music you like and we will hook you up with performances that you will love for whatever it is that you like! So welcome to the rabbit hole. From the Swifties!

    I'm puzzled by Swift.
    I compare her to Beyonce in that they are both women singers. They have a large fan base of loyal fans. They do amazing shows.
    But, while Beyonce is thrown with accolades and respected by the media and public at large, Swift is dissed and blown off and there is always something that is complained about.
    Both women have earned astounding amount of money for their works.
    I wonder if some of Swift's problem lays in that she became famous at such a young age and in country music. She was still just a teenager when Kanye stormed the stage and destroyed this girl's happiness and thrill at winning her first big award.
    And her well known works like You Belong With Me and others were written by her as a teenager. And a lot of her fame came before she was 25.
    It seems a lot of men don't hate the lady but, just don't pay attention to her. It seems a lot of women are the ones with the hate going on.
    And this toxic brew was perfect for her to be driven away when Kanye and his wife Kardashian set her up and lied about her but, it struck with social media and Swift was burned at the stake.
    The funny thing is Beyonce seems like she is a nice lady and so does Swift. But, the portrayals are so polar opposite.

    You must’ve interacted with crappy people because as a fan base, we Swifties are a friendly, welcoming bunch. The other creators who do reactions have said how nice we are. Give us a chance!
