when we were fighting her we were like 'my beatrice you have changed'
Killed beatrice while way underleveled and during the day in brutal by telling everyone "we will be fine she just runs in circles we just have to get rid of the soldier nearby before"
One of us knew about her brutal fight. I didn't. I wasn't ready
I wish they added an actual story mode that was fun to follow as draculas fall and your rise to defeat the light and eventually dracula himself
Well the official release just happened and Dracula is the final boss so part of that is there
That would be cool to play a prequal then it goes into the main part of the game.

@@true_cyan9188 Playing in the area of Dracula's Demise, you can see Dracula's corpse (?) contained in the oversized crystal in the centre of the pit. Maybe that's a clue?
I'm going to be honest half of the game is me farming and fighting and the other half is running around as a wolf dissecting the lore just from enemies and the environment.
I do love the lore, it’s nothing crazy but the environmental story telling is very enjoyable
I didn't realize this is how it all connects specially the Gloomrot part. Only from the game cinematic I thought Humans were the powerhouse that culled all the vampires and thats it.
It's interesting to see that the Church still kept sending their army in the Ruins of Mortium, I once saw a Paladin and a Lightweaver destroyed General Cassius lol just to put it to perspective how powerful Humans became.

Yeah, if one is having trouble with Elena or Cassius, one can significantly ease the burden from bringing them down by just tailing them till they get mixed up fighting some of the Militia/Church patrols.
Sometimes, these same patrols can even inadvertently complete the Mortium incursion events.

I thought we were just one selfish, power lusting spawn of ol' Dracula. Or we failed him and he wanted us to never return. The lore of his loyalists, that he didn't create from torture, hinted they loved Drac, so I wondered why we didn't when they revealed him.

The lore behind one of the generals is super cool to me cause he used to be a paladin but lost to Dracula and now he has a sentient sword that talks to him and works for Dracula
its great, the general lore is vampires lost war, you woke up and want power. BOOM done. but then the bosses lore is like a small book long lol
The individual boss lore is soooo cool I would love to do a deep dive but that might take forever lol
Well, logically your character should have a small book of their own, but because they're the PC it isn't there in game. At least that's my view on things.
Well done. I rarely like the plot of games but rather like this one since it is paired with so much of the environment.

How does us traveling back in time to kill dracula in the final fight fit into this?
the final boss is not actually traveling back in time, you go into a pocket dimension where he is waiting for his army to resurrect him.
V rising is one of those games I just can't get into. I love the idea and concept just find it to be too slow in progression. You build a castle wall but can't build a roof so you reserve to cauldron then so many things stronger than a new born vampire which is suppose to be the top of the food change.
well at the end of the game you are indeed at the top of the food chain
It would be nice to have a prequel of the game as DLC.

@@true_cyan9188 considering their boss is a V Blood he himself might be the origin since all V Bloods come from dracula

In game it says they are an imminent treat for noctum , so is the beginning for them , like they are the first werewolfs

Sad that this lore video made me want to play a Paladin over a Vampire. Never much cared for Vampires as creatures, but V Rising is still a fun game.
ITS SO CRAZY YOU SAY THAT! Me and my friends were literally talking about how it would be so cool if you could have a “game mode” where there are vampires and paladins so PvP would be like giant team based or something. Also the paladins have some SICK ASS armor
@@true_cyan9188 I haven't gotten past copper gear in the game yet, but I'm looking forward to seeing what's in store. I'd much rather the game be Light vs. Vampires, but it is what it is.

Hey! A lot of the story is from boss descriptions and environmental story telling, but I got a lot of it before the update thanks to this dev blog here: blog.stunlock.com/dev-update-26-the-ruins-of-mortium/ it talks a lot about the Dracula side of things!

The question is are the vampire are the good guys or the humans or is it none of them? Or are the vampire broken
I def don’t think the vampires are the good guys lol but the humans don’t seem to be super cool either so idk
Seems like a big ambiguous mess lol (in a good way) there are bandits everywhere, and the church is horribly corrupt, gloomrot I feel speaks for itself. But of course there are surely good humans in the mix as well as good/less evil vampires. I myself like a good anti hero so I try not to kill civilians but have no care for anyone else lol

I didn’t even like spoil anything, it’s just back story of the game. Also if someone wants to fully discover the game for them selves why would they click on a “story explained” video?
You do realize people can just, ya know "Enjoy and discover" the game by themselves right?
