ANTI CHEAT everything goes back to how it was. Then stick and button becomes a preference like before in previous 2k. You would think that 2k could get a monitoring system that detects when someone is constantly releasing the shot down to the millisecond exactly the same and flag them for cheating like so many other games have. Instead they want to just ruin the game for everyone when there is a much easier fix. And even with their new "cheat proof" shooting people are still cheating.
I think people don’t really care about the difficulty it’s really just the insane delay wierd catch animations for catch and shoots and then the 100 different timings
They need to fix the catch animation if you have high pass accuracy why are your teammates getting slow load up animations. 2k and there stupid "We have 9000 animations" bih who tf cares. 2k community didn't ask for 9000 animations we not Disney's lol. Then proceeds to put the good animations from last year behind the Season and Rep rewards smfh
I don’t understand now with how bad recent 2ks have been ( 2k21-2k24 maybe 25 ) that people don’t understand how perfect 2k20 was. The very balanced builds, perfect shooting, best legend grind ever, simple and easy, a non-split community, the best badge system ever, and much more. The only thing 2k20 needed was a fresh new neighborhood ( yes neighborhood NOT CITY ) I swear if they bring the 2k20 servers back online 2K will have the greatest surge of players coming back of all time.😢
2k20 shooting wasn’t perfect lol. It was probably the easiest shooting 2K ever. People started making low shooting builds because it was so easy. Games still on the Mt Rushmore though
@@Fent- Should’ve clarified on the shooting a bit more. What I mean is that shooting was still incredibly balanced and whites went in a decent amount. ( Which I like better than the only green shooting honestly ) But what made it fun is that u didn’t need high 3pt to shoot consistently IF you’re good at the game. That’s just my opinion but remember when 2k21 current gen came out and u had to have 80+ 3pt to shoot consistently? Yeah that wasn’t fun at all 😂
At first i was shooting about 39 percent changed my jumpshot and my visual cue in my jumper over n over till i was comfortable wit the push release now im shooting 49%. Shooting isnt hard but it is INCONSISTENT like a mf
Yeah I went from 30% to 47% it’s going up instead of down but it seems everytime they do a update it’s a patch with the shooting they just need to leave the shooting alone it’s fine the way it is
What’s crazy is there are multiple shot timings on 24 as well. They just kept your green window constantly where the cue was whether it be push, set point, jump, or release. It’s already hard enough to get an open shot against a good team. Now I’ve got to do all this just to make it? Not fun

All my friends are struggling this year to shoot and it feels fine for me. This is my year and nobody wanna play 2k cuz they suck this year 😭. Every other year I sucked at shooting it felt horrible and this year I can just rhythm shoot and green it over somebody. To be fair I’m not dribbling I’m either catch and shooting or rhythm shooting on a step back three. ( the green window feels massive rhythm shooting)

Everyone who is a creative shotmaker is struggling. Players like you who dont dribble aka roleplayers - dont see a difference. You shot 40%-50% the years before - no difference this year. I shot 70% on 3s high volume and mostly off the dribble. Now i barely shoot 50% complete stand still 3s. Thats tough
@@undergroundclassics3130 I’m actually a pretty creative shot creator and I can still say shootings easy with good shot creation. With the addition of a go to shot and shot cancelling you can really throw the defender off guard with blowing by them out of a shot cancel or just fully committing to the step back and shooting it. It all used the right stick and you can simply rhythm shoot out of the step back and it’s a huge green window with shifty shooter. I’m shooting 40 percent from three in Rec and anytime I miss a shot I can just tell that I mistimed the jump shot

Badge I’m a new sub but been watching for a minute now and I’m surprised you haven’t connected every gameplay issue 2k has with what it has been and will always be about, money. You think 2k just all of a sudden turned nice from ‘24 and started focusing on the gameplay over money? Some examples: 1. Steals come out overpowered, everyone makes high steal builds. Steals take little to no skill when you play a team of 5 playing 2-3 all with high steal. Look at how defense is played. No one is actually guarding the ball. So a lot of people make these builds specific to 5s. 2. Post fades are broken and take no skill, but you can’t make a big with high steal, so now you have to make another build if you want to play 1s or 2s. 3. Small guards get a bunch of attributes, but you better have a team around you or else you’re getting cooked with randoms because small guard builds can be abused. So you have to make it for 5s if everyone else has bigger builds. 4. Have you played consistently without boosts? It’s unplayable especially in competitive mode. Proving grounds is already close competition but it’s automatically pay to win when someone can buy boosts and get that extra edge to beat you consistently. Why do buyable boosts exist in a ranked mode that’s supposed to be even gameplay purely based on skill. This 2k is WORSE about stealing money from people than ‘24, they’re just more slick about how they do it. Me and my friend can only afford one build, but we like playing proving grounds and Rec with IRLs. It’s unplayable because you can’t make an all around build and be successful. We’re not scrubs and not the best, Gold in proving grounds 2s, but we’re never going to get better than that since at that point it’s all matchup dependent and you’ll always lose against someone who has more money to make a build specific for 2s and can buy every boost in the game. We don’t feel like when we lose it’s because of a skill gap, but unbeatable matchups. How can I compete as a guard against 7’3 Shaqs but I also can’t afford to make one myself. The state of this 2k is the worst it’s been ever in my opinion and I’ve been playing with the same squad since 2k11 back when GBs was the competitive scene (and you actually had to play with an NBA team not my players). There’s no skill gap in 2k anymore, just a money gap…
It’s amazing watching people complain about shooting when the true issue is the lane steal success and the steal success after changes of possession. That alone ruined every 5v5 experience. Simple iq basketball is obsolete because the guy that’s not anywhere near the guy you’re passing to can get a super human animation to steal the ball….or the pass will slow down or not get any height just so the defender can get a steal. 5v5 looks like little kid basketball due to back to back steals that happen all game.
I like the game very much Im glad they buffed shooting. Chasing the realism is what is ruining the game I don't think a game should make players shoot 40% I get on this game to have fun, not to try to virtually re-live hoop dreams

I love 2k25 so much. If im not missing, im lag spiking every shot. If im not spiking, the ball is getting stolen because everyone is Prime Deon Sanders. After I overcome all of that, if I want to relax & play the game I can’t. You know why I can’t ??? Because I have to play skill based match making. I get on the game for a couple hours & I’m good at the game, but I have to play vs mfs who been playing for 20 out of 24 hours of the day. ( the 5’11 2 6’7 lock park special ). Oh but how could I forget , playground has all post scorers & you cant defend a drop step. So yes 2k25 is the best 2k ever, & nothing is broken. F Ronnie
I saw this coming. When 2k said they were introducing allll new everything I knew it was doomed. 2k has been awful through the years in the implementation of new concepts. The ideas are always right but the actual execution is awful.
Honesty not a fan of 2k25. A lot of new features, animation, and content. But the game play and movements feel off to me. Not being about to quick stop and shoot, pulling up for a middy and getting a drive animation. Random hitches with jump shots. Its a mess online imo

@@ZyZyank all you have to do is play the key games which there's not a lot of and you can sim out at half. every other game you can sim and during the offseason you have the ability to play FIBA games. if you win the FIBA games then its 25k vc every time. It can get repetitive but it is extremely good for vc if you go that route

IMO 2k shouldn’t be penalizing the good players by taking out a pure green window they should add a pure green window to ranked and keep it out of the city/easymodes.
The blackoutt event varies by overall of a person build & rep level. For future notice for the next blackout event bring out a new build. You will see that the card will be far easier to get done.
I get back down with the 99 strength and 99 interior defense with legend post move lock by person with 91 strength and sometimes standing dunks happen and on the other end when I play against a 6’4 guard they can sometimes stop my post spin and not even react to a drop step like I don’t have strength at all or Hall of Fame and legend post badges
Yall say 2k can’t have latency in servers is so delusional. No other gaming community’s only complaints is the servers and just Shii the devs can fix. This is a only 2k thing and will continue to be unless people do something about it
Idc if I face a cheater once in awhile. Me & the squad just leave. I know I’m not bad at the game but this 2k makes it seem like I’ve never gotten my timing down on the game ever & thats for everyone I play with. Don’t force a player base to some rhythm shooting bs when I get on to relax n hit some buttons.
It might just be me but does it seam like most of the complaints are from the top 500 players. I think for the casual to often players this is the friendliest game in a long time. I could be wrong though.
shot 80% in park and 70% in rec for the final season last year. Currently shooting 50% in rec (prolly 55-60% if reset) and 65% in the park. If they change shooting, I will be shooting how I shot last year. Most of my missed shots are catch and shoots because of the weird catch animations or when I get a gather QUICK stopping. I use rhythm shooting on pg after a couple dozen hours practicing
If you can’t shoot that’s on you. Shooting is a tad inconsistent but my friend makes 60% of his corner threes with a 60 ovr three ball. If you suck just say that

Does anyone else have a problem with the contest system? It feels almost impossible to get a good contest when I’m using my bigs. I understand that bigs don’t have access to challenger at a higher levels, but I’ll be practically on top of someone and the shot is considered open. This is with me trying the stick and jumping with the button as well.
I shoot 66% in pro am 3v3 with an 85 3 ball. Gotta only shoot wide open off catch and shoot. Also learn to rhythm shoot off snatch backs. It makes shooting more consistent.
How hard is it for 2k to implement an anti cheat that tracks release timing? If someone releases the exact same time over a certain percentage it wouldn’t be that hard to flag that account. Even a game like RuneScape bans people for clicking the same spot on the screen to many times

Bro you misunderstoood the graph so bad😂😂 the bottom axis is the input (How long you hold the button down). Each peak shows the target input time in ms for that release type and shot % when you hit that target. Each peak was the same height. Means if you time well you always hit close to 80% no matter the release type. And then they’re also the same shape so if you increase by 5 ish ms, it drops by roughly the same amount
Shooting smooth it’s straight but no one speaks on how it should just be one timing , timing should change depending on what shot your taking but always be the same not speed up slow down after one shot just like 2k20 you learned your shot you made the shot. SIMPLE
If they want to stop cheaters, it's easy... Make badges only target more difficult shots with randomized timing.. no badges for set shot specialist.. Make the meter not unique for the release so that it's harder to use image recognition to do the release.
I’ve been delayed since 2k22 but 22 was good. The delay just gone worse year after year man. Idk how they mess up a game to run smooth on online it’s soooooooo frustrating. Green window size should be directly tied to attribute rating, release speed and shot contests… and then be altered by badges On another note the balance of defence and offence in 2k25 is way too random. Why does a mistimed press of the triangle/square button by a defender way out of position still trigger a scenario where a wide open dunk attempt turns into a weak blocked layup animation 50% of the time or a rip from behind?! Imo defensive badges should enable good defenders to get the right animations whenever they read the opponent perfectly but not grant them the ability to turn a bad reach or out of position poorly timed block attempt into a defensive stop. I’m okay with the badges widening the room for error a little bit but it’s way to extrem as of now unfortunately and I’m a guy that always loved and enjoyed the defensive play more than the offence… a stop has to be earned tho
Tbh I don’t think this delay issue would be such a huge factor if there was only 1 type of delay for ALL MODES I think that would help the dribbling and shooting be more consistent I just don’t know how they get it wrong every year
Something that I realized that every type of shot has several timings for example on a catch and shoot if u shoot the second u get the ball it has a certain speed but if u wait a split second the jumpshot would be extremely slower and on top of that u get random speed ups on shots
Anyone else have a problem with guards having to go against post scorers in proving grounds or the fact that 10 out of 11 of the top leaderboards are post scorers every time I go on a huge win streak I go up against a 7plus ft post scorer where I win only 40 50 percent, all they do besides post is back up and hope you miss so if you miss just one you gotta deal with a long asf 1s game cause for some reason proving grounds is 24 seconds

What’s crazy is there are multiple shot timings on 24 as well. They just kept your green window constantly where the cue was whether it be push, set point, jump, or release. It’s already hard enough to get an open shot against a good team. Now I’ve got to do all this just to make it? Not fun

All my friends are struggling this year to shoot and it feels fine for me. This is my year and nobody wanna play 2k cuz they suck this year 😭. Every other year I sucked at shooting it felt horrible and this year I can just rhythm shoot and green it over somebody. To be fair I’m not dribbling I’m either catch and shooting or rhythm shooting on a step back three. ( the green window feels massive rhythm shooting)

Everyone who is a creative shotmaker is struggling. Players like you who dont dribble aka roleplayers - dont see a difference. You shot 40%-50% the years before - no difference this year. I shot 70% on 3s high volume and mostly off the dribble. Now i barely shoot 50% complete stand still 3s. Thats tough
@@undergroundclassics3130 I’m actually a pretty creative shot creator and I can still say shootings easy with good shot creation. With the addition of a go to shot and shot cancelling you can really throw the defender off guard with blowing by them out of a shot cancel or just fully committing to the step back and shooting it. It all used the right stick and you can simply rhythm shoot out of the step back and it’s a huge green window with shifty shooter. I’m shooting 40 percent from three in Rec and anytime I miss a shot I can just tell that I mistimed the jump shot

Badge I’m a new sub but been watching for a minute now and I’m surprised you haven’t connected every gameplay issue 2k has with what it has been and will always be about, money. You think 2k just all of a sudden turned nice from ‘24 and started focusing on the gameplay over money? Some examples:
1. Steals come out overpowered, everyone makes high steal builds. Steals take little to no skill when you play a team of 5 playing 2-3 all with high steal. Look at how defense is played. No one is actually guarding the ball. So a lot of people make these builds specific to 5s.
2. Post fades are broken and take no skill, but you can’t make a big with high steal, so now you have to make another build if you want to play 1s or 2s.
3. Small guards get a bunch of attributes, but you better have a team around you or else you’re getting cooked with randoms because small guard builds can be abused. So you have to make it for 5s if everyone else has bigger builds.
4. Have you played consistently without boosts? It’s unplayable especially in competitive mode. Proving grounds is already close competition but it’s automatically pay to win when someone can buy boosts and get that extra edge to beat you consistently. Why do buyable boosts exist in a ranked mode that’s supposed to be even gameplay purely based on skill.
This 2k is WORSE about stealing money from people than ‘24, they’re just more slick about how they do it. Me and my friend can only afford one build, but we like playing proving grounds and Rec with IRLs. It’s unplayable because you can’t make an all around build and be successful.
We’re not scrubs and not the best, Gold in proving grounds 2s, but we’re never going to get better than that since at that point it’s all matchup dependent and you’ll always lose against someone who has more money to make a build specific for 2s and can buy every boost in the game. We don’t feel like when we lose it’s because of a skill gap, but unbeatable matchups. How can I compete as a guard against 7’3 Shaqs but I also can’t afford to make one myself.
The state of this 2k is the worst it’s been ever in my opinion and I’ve been playing with the same squad since 2k11 back when GBs was the competitive scene (and you actually had to play with an NBA team not my players). There’s no skill gap in 2k anymore, just a money gap…

It’s amazing watching people complain about shooting when the true issue is the lane steal success and the steal success after changes of possession. That alone ruined every 5v5 experience. Simple iq basketball is obsolete because the guy that’s not anywhere near the guy you’re passing to can get a super human animation to steal the ball….or the pass will slow down or not get any height just so the defender can get a steal. 5v5 looks like little kid basketball due to back to back steals that happen all game.

I love 2k25 so much. If im not missing, im lag spiking every shot. If im not spiking, the ball is getting stolen because everyone is Prime Deon Sanders.
After I overcome all of that, if I want to relax & play the game I can’t. You know why I can’t ??? Because I have to play skill based match making. I get on the game for a couple hours & I’m good at the game, but I have to play vs mfs who been playing for 20 out of 24 hours of the day.

I saw this coming. When 2k said they were introducing allll new everything I knew it was doomed. 2k has been awful through the years in the implementation of new concepts. The ideas are always right but the actual execution is awful.
Honesty not a fan of 2k25. A lot of new features, animation, and content. But the game play and movements feel off to me.

It can get repetitive but it is extremely good for vc if you go that route

IMO 2k shouldn’t be penalizing the good players by taking out a pure green window they should add a pure green window to ranked and keep it out of the city/easymodes.
The blackoutt event varies by overall of a person build & rep level. For future notice for the next blackout event bring out a new build. You will see that the card will be far easier to get done.

I get back down with the 99 strength and 99 interior defense with legend post move lock by person with 91 strength and sometimes standing dunks happen and on the other end when I play against a 6’4 guard they can sometimes stop my post spin and not even react to a drop step like I don’t have strength at all or Hall of Fame and legend post badges
Yall say 2k can’t have latency in servers is so delusional. No other gaming community’s only complaints is the servers and just Shii the devs can fix. This is a only 2k thing and will continue to be unless people do something about it

It might just be me but does it seam like most of the complaints are from the top 500 players. I think for the casual to often players this is the friendliest game in a long time. I could be wrong though.

shot 80% in park and 70% in rec for the final season last year. Currently shooting 50% in rec (prolly 55-60% if reset) and 65% in the park. If they change shooting, I will be shooting how I shot last year. Most of my missed shots are catch and shoots because of the weird catch animations or when I get a gather QUICK stopping. I use rhythm shooting on pg after a couple dozen hours practicing
If you can’t shoot that’s on you. Shooting is a tad inconsistent but my friend makes 60% of his corner threes with a 60 ovr three ball. If you suck just say that

Does anyone else have a problem with the contest system? It feels almost impossible to get a good contest when I’m using my bigs. I understand that bigs don’t have access to challenger at a higher levels, but I’ll be practically on top of someone and the shot is considered open. This is with me trying the stick and jumping with the button as well.
I shoot 66% in pro am 3v3 with an 85 3 ball. Gotta only shoot wide open off catch and shoot. Also learn to rhythm shoot off snatch backs. It makes shooting more consistent.
How hard is it for 2k to implement an anti cheat that tracks release timing? If someone releases the exact same time over a certain percentage it wouldn’t be that hard to flag that account. Even a game like RuneScape bans people for clicking the same spot on the screen to many times

Bro you misunderstoood the graph so bad😂😂 the bottom axis is the input (How long you hold the button down). Each peak shows the target input time in ms for that release type and shot % when you hit that target. Each peak was the same height. Means if you time well you always hit close to 80% no matter the release type. And then they’re also the same shape so if you increase by 5 ish ms, it drops by roughly the same amount
Shooting smooth it’s straight but no one speaks on how it should just be one timing , timing should change depending on what shot your taking but always be the same not speed up slow down after one shot just like 2k20 you learned your shot you made the shot. SIMPLE

Make the meter not unique for the release so that it's harder to use image recognition to do the release.

On another note the balance of defence and offence in 2k25 is way too random. Why does a mistimed press of the triangle/square button by a defender way out of position still trigger a scenario where a wide open dunk attempt turns into a weak blocked layup animation 50% of the time or a rip from behind?!
Imo defensive badges should enable good defenders to get the right animations whenever they read the opponent perfectly but not grant them the ability to turn a bad reach or out of position poorly timed block attempt into a defensive stop. I’m okay with the badges widening the room for error a little bit but it’s way to extrem as of now unfortunately and I’m a guy that always loved and enjoyed the defensive play more than the offence… a stop has to be earned tho
Tbh I don’t think this delay issue would be such a huge factor if there was only 1 type of delay for ALL MODES I think that would help the dribbling and shooting be more consistent I just don’t know how they get it wrong every year
Something that I realized that every type of shot has several timings for example on a catch and shoot if u shoot the second u get the ball it has a certain speed but if u wait a split second the jumpshot would be extremely slower and on top of that u get random speed ups on shots
Anyone else have a problem with guards having to go against post scorers in proving grounds or the fact that 10 out of 11 of the top leaderboards are post scorers every time I go on a huge win streak I go up against a 7plus ft post scorer where I win only 40 50 percent, all they do besides post is back up and hope you miss so if you miss just one you gotta deal with a long asf 1s game cause for some reason proving grounds is 24 seconds
