Wow what a care, i have ghost shrimps in my tank and i usually just did a drop and plop no water measurement no powder, no ph or nh measurement, no temperature... And thank goodness my shrimp still alive and its breeding fast soo i was thinking adding a big fish to slow it down.
Should you even replace aquasoil in the first place? I never do, I think it's a waste of perfectly fine soil. Also, where did you buy the soil and the shrimp. The places that I know that sell those sell them at about RM 6 - 10 per shrimp depending on its type and about RM 30 - 45 per kilogram of aqausoil depending on the brand. It's too expensive for me, and the real tanks (and not plastic containers and fishbowls) cost RM 50-75 (for a 20 gallon) depending on glass type and brand too. *cries in a red cent"
Loved the idea with the coke bottle. But why use expensive aquasoil instead of gravel, if there arent any live plants, except the anubias, which is not connected to the soil??
This tank will be the same as the previous tank because of the aqua soil.. u might want to swap it out for gravel or false sand .. so that there wont be excess nutrient which will cause algae bloom
Anyone know what brands he used for the powders? Like the nitrification one in the filter. And the gh powder. And did he use RO water or dechlorinated tap water?
Hello thinfrog :) I'm so interested in raising shrimp, can you tell me how to take care of them and what feed is suitable for them? Can I use fish pellets? Thank You
Just noticed that you changed the set up for shrimps in my experience don't change the set up and they prefer the stones with algae than the new ones and ass for me I would just like to tell you add moss in one of the stones and look how they will populate
I’m curious as to why there aren’t any babies they always make me anxious when removing the whole population from the tank. Always afraid of leaving one baby behind
@batsoupp just a little guess since I was curious too. The garden center for 1 or the free kind from a park / lake shore but then maybe from an aquarium store !!! This day will be spent sucking up visual and written info because tomorrow will be my 1st day as a Shrimp keeper. It will be a great time for me, and hopefully the Shrimp will be good and healthy and that is the biggest concern °°°°☆
1. No heater? 2. The substrate was very likely filled with shrimplets. Were they just thrown away? 3. They were eating algae off rocks. Now they have no food. 4. Changing more than 10% water is very traumatic for shrimp and very likely deaths occurred in the following days.
1. If you heat the room to the correct temperature, you wont need a heater 2/3. They dont need algae, if they are given a variety of different foods 4. If you have the exact same parameters in both tanks, it wont stress the shrimp too much. You can change as much water as you want, as long as it has the same temp, pH, KH, etc. He made sure of this by adding the different powders to the water :)
Use very fine wet sand paper (#1000 and follow by #2000) instead of the scraper and you get much better results without risk having scratch marks on the glass.
I love how they just jump into the net willingly. 😁😁😁😁 the way to acclimate was the coolest. Learned something new today.. Thank you.
That drip acclimating bottle is genius... And I love the simplicity of the tank scape
I think the dirty one was more better then the clean one because it gives more natural vibe 😅😅
yeah an the shimp can eat
Haha yes the algae is a perfect environment for the shrimp but it can also be excessive
Time flies so fast! We love you ThinFrog!💖🤗
really enjoy everytime watching your videos. keep up for more videos and tips!
wow....thanks for the acclimate idea~! easy to get easy to make!
I really enjoy everything watching your video.I will always support you

Aqua soil is completely unnecessary here, because its not a heavily planted tank. Especially this much aqua soil. This is why they get so much algea.
Loved the idea with the coke bottle.
But why use expensive aquasoil instead of gravel, if there arent any live plants, except the anubias, which is not connected to the soil??
This soil is for planting more plants in the future.
Why do you want wild color shrimps?
the algae on the rocks was a good feeding to the shrimps
@thinfrog when adding back the aqua soil is it new soil or old.
It's old for sure
He just rinsed out the old soil
where do you live man, love your videos, keep doing more, all the best!!!
What kind of shrimp is the blue one? Is it died?
This tank will be the same as the previous tank because of the aqua soil.. u might want to swap it out for gravel or false sand .. so that there wont be excess nutrient which will cause algae bloom
Go ahead with this shrimp video😍
Beautiful. My question is if there's no plants what's the purpose of the soil?
Hi Maryam, more plants will be added in the future.
Can you share the items you use and where you buy them from? Thanks.
Hello, can i ask how you made and what did you use for the cover of their tanks? Thankyou ☺
Plant pot bottom net, bought from DAISO.
@@ThinFrog. thankyou 😊
Anyone know what brands he used for the powders? Like the nitrification one in the filter. And the gh powder. And did he use RO water or dechlorinated tap water?
did the moss on the rocks build naturaly or did you add something to it? i liked the old rocks
That’s algae. It forms on the rocks due to the light
Guys, come on, I can't be the only one thinking of *Stonehenge* ?! 😜
Hello thinfrog :) I'm so interested in raising shrimp, can you tell me how to take care of them and what feed is suitable for them? Can I use fish pellets? Thank You
may i know what is the name of the aquasoil you are using
ADA Aqua Soil
I really like the algae on the rocks
Love your videos
Just noticed that you changed the set up for shrimps in my experience don't change the set up and they prefer the stones with algae than the new ones and ass for me I would just like to tell you add moss in one of the stones and look how they will populate
at this point you could have build another from zero, ane just move them there, and when the time comes to clean, move them back in this, and so on
@thinfrog what does a set up like this cost?? thinking about getting a shrimp tank going with my daughter.
If you're in the us, this would probably be like 200 dollars or so
What camera you are using? great video 😍
Panasonic camera
The tank looks perfect for me for the shrimp though.
Great video!
Nice one sir
hi, what is the plastic thing to cover your upper aquarium ?
The plastic thing is plant pot bottom net.
@@ThinFrog. aight thanks!
where is the pregnant one? She is missing when you transfer it
omg very good
May i know what size for the tank ??
I’m curious as to why there aren’t any babies they always make me anxious when removing the whole population from the tank.
Always afraid of leaving one baby behind
That was my very first thought... 10 mos in and no babies? Mine is about the same age rn and I have more babies than adults!
Hi, they have been bred a few times, check out my previous video :)
th-cam.com/video/20ykI7yWiN0/w-d-xo.html
@@ThinFrog. but where are they now?
To prevent the baby from being sucked by the hanging filter, I transfer them to the baby tank.
What kind of glass?
Are you from Hawaii? Caught some pidgin in some of the slides lol
He is from Malaysia lol
What a type of machine filter in your tank?
What's the size of your aquarium?
What do u feed them?
What kind of stones are those?
@batsoupp just a little guess since I was curious too. The garden center for 1 or the free kind from a park / lake shore but then maybe from an aquarium store !!! What size tank is that?
Wow amazing beautiful
Can you help me my fish when I take him out for cleaning it just lays down and when I put it back in the aquarium it looks normal again
Blue shrimp she was carrying egg bro
Please leave it be next time the tank did not need cleaning
Maybe he doesn’t mind restarting the cycle.
Is there a way to giving it a good cleaning without restarting the cycle?
SUPER VIDEO
