    Damizza was rated by Source Magazine as the #4 most powerful people in Hip-Hop as the Senior Director of programming from 1997 to 2004 at the Emmis-owned Power 106 in Los Angeles, and spent considerable time at Hot 97, their New York flagship station. Damizza is also a record executive working with artists such as Jay-Z, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Migos, Nate Dogg, Eminem and Mariah Carey, with whom he made his production debut on the remix of her hit "I Still Believe" in 1998.
    Chris Gotti and Damizza discuss his career and where his heart for music come from. His story started in Santa Barbara, CA. His career started at 12 years old as an intern for a radio station. which in return lead to his job as Power 106 youngest Program Director. Damizza explains how he and Chris friend relationship began working as a Record Executive/Program Director with the ability to understand Hip Hop music; using his love for the music he learned how to mingle the music into his rotation to show love to the hip hop artist out at that time.
    Looking to understand what went into the work of being Program Director and what your rotation meant to your position as the Music Director, knowing how to talk to your audience to get them to respond. This would drive the listeners to call in to have them wanting to hear the music by playing on a regular cycle. Bringing the street into the radio, merging the 2 together.
    Damizza and Chris Gotti conversation goes into the depths of the friendship that built a great relationship between the two of them. Working in this industry does not always build the best friendships dealing so many different attitudes and their intentions. Damizza explains to Chris how having created the lifestyle he wanted and changed everything for family.
    Damizza explains how hip hop music started making its mark. The labels started really pay attention to the impression it had on the listeners and the markets it was getting attention from.
