Recently I’ve been hearing that out of balance hormones play a big part in feeling gay or not. And hormone testing then balancing them through diet and vitamins is super helpful with clarity.
I wonder where this idea of children in biblical times marrying at 12, 13, etc comes from? I see it nowhere in scripture, yet I hear preachers saying it often. Actually, Hebrews would not be allowing their daughters to marry until they could bear children, and most girls back then weren’t menstruating until 15 or 16 at the earliest. Today’s young girls’ cycles have been prematurely started because of hormones (estrogen et al) injected into food-source animals to fatten them quickly. And young boys weren’t to speak or participate in the temple/synagogue until they were 13, at which time they would officially be recognized as men and begin studying the Torah. They would begin apprenticing at a trade then, but would not be able to support a family for quite a few years until they could work on their own. In Deuteronomy, the Israelites were instructed not to draft men into the army if they were newly married, requiring at least one year at home with their new brides. So, men generally didn’t join up until they were at least 20 or so. I appreciate your testimony, but making invalid claims for dramatic effect destroys credibility, harms your witness, and brings a reproach against Christ and His church. Truth does not need elaboration.
