    No doubt: this is the best explanation of Truth Function. I'm studying Mathematical Logic but I'm still full of questions on simple concepts like this one. Thanks a million

    Are tautologies and contradictions truth functional as well? Their truth value seems to be dependent on their form rather the truth values of simple statements.

      Yes, a sentence such as "Either A or not-A" is truth-functional and a tautology. Similarly, the sentence "A and not-A" is truth-functional and a contradiction.
