that looks like a nice sunday...i got stuck at work and will have to work the one coming too...k so im not sure if correct and someone may slam me in comments...worse-ter-shirr with accent (emphasis) on the worse..i suck at english too hehe...im glad you dont have starbucks there, coming from a visitor perspective its such a treat to just pop into a cafe with no big blaring logo thing, get a coffee in a real cup and just sit outside. i have to learn how to order better though lol my Portuguese sounds awful..i didnt quite understand. you get a portion of meat for the festival? is that from the church? thanks for sharing your day, looking forward to part 2...the apple pie yum!
Yeah I usually work Sundays too! It's actually pretty rare for me to be home on a sunday but my schedule had changed a lot last month and it worked out that I was home for most of them these last two months. But that has come to an end! The meat was given by the holy spirit committee. It's like a group of people who are in charge of the festivities. The community donate cows and other things. Then people can buy a portion or get gifted a portion. I received meat, bread and sweet bread. It was given to me. The money used to buy the pensões is used in favour of the festivities. To help pay for the expenses of the party that is free for all to attend. Thanks so much for your support 🥰
@@lifewithrosie03 lol im still not sure how i feel about sundays...i really like my job but miss so many activities working on wknds...ok so now i understand and that is an awesome thing to have in your community...that must bring ppl/ neighbours closer together...lol my neighbour is strangers
I saw your starbucks cup and I was excited for my fiance. She loves Starbucks. Does Pingo Doce sell other starbucks drinks? Do you have any recommendations of places to get Ice coffee? I know Intz48 in Ponta Delgada has ice coffee. My fiance only drinks cold coffee lol. I'm really excited to see your finished product on the pie. I love the time lapse of you driving around and being able to see the small village roads. 7 more days to go!🛫🛬
Not many places have ice coffee. I know subway once did it in the summer. I'm not sure if they still do it. But not even McDonald's serves ice coffee. Pingo doce sells cold caramel macchiato, cold latte and cold cappuccino I think. None of them actually are iced though. They are in a refrigerator though so it's very refreshing. It's so close!!! Hope you have a good trip here.
@@lifewithrosie03 Oh The cold caramel macchiato is her favourite drink at Starbucks! I'm sure she'll love it! Thank you Rosie! Your channel is paying off for me!
