HILARIOUS... Been there. Did Kon Mari 4 years ago on every closet, dresser and cabinet in my house and garage. Got rid huge amount. But I repeated in past month because there were items that I loved but for whatever reason havent worn or used since the original purge. I didnt get rid of a huge amount this time but was still a decent amount. Good job!
Have you considered replacing your hangers with space-saving ones? Seems like you genuinely love the clothes you keep, but are just frustrated by how much space they take up/would feel better with more breathing room in your closet. Some of that bulk could be eliminated with no-slip hangers.
Oh no! I get it just seems more full because you put your new things in there. I just did a major declutter and I have a large storage bin as y maybe pile. It made it easier to put things in the maybe instead of the keep. Eventually I will confront the bin and probably get rid of most of what’s in there.
I’m doing the Konmari Method now I Decluttered a garbage bag full Now for what Iv kept I still have to try everything on to see if it makes me happy This is my second day! Huge Progress!!!! You did good! I enjoyed this❤️
I am somewhat fond of the Kon Mari method, but at the same time i have a hard time decluttering like you. I have hoarding problems. Hopefully I can overcome this problem. Wish me luck!
Hi just done our loft my husband cleared out 46 black bags to the charity that's the kids when they were young all their cuddly toys and clothes books school stuff we kept CDs DVDs bags you name it it was there we sent all the cuddly toys to St Micheal hospice for them to sell there were so grateful and the rest to Charity shops. I love Charity shops that's my problem I had to sort out the problem I had so i was wasting a lot of money in them buying crap I didn't need I coundnt carry on like this so now this last 4 months I've stopped buying crap and saved the money instead I only buy what I need or really like something I have saved enough money to go on a family hoilday I'm so proud of myself. We're are declutting all the time it never ends but god its got to be coming a lot better shorely xx
That is absolutely amazing. Well done! I totally understand what you mean about cutting down on buying things you don't need. I used to buy anything that was a good bargain, even if I didn't really want it! Something that really helps me is keeping a list of all the things I actually want/need to buy and then when I go shopping if something takes my eye, but it's not on the list, I know I can leave it behind. Well done on the decluttering. You're doing to well! x
@@AimeeRebecca I love crafts and have so much I have sub-categories in crafts. I have only finished 1 so far, Sewing Supplies and Fabrics, it was the biggest sub-category and it took me 5 hours and 10 mins. But it's done, and I am super happy with my progress. Keep going, it's worth it!
Try hanging your hangers on the rod backwards so that they are facing you... if that makes sense. As you wear clothes and hang them back in your wardrobe, put the hanger on the rod normally. After a few months you will see which pieces you actually wear and which are just taking up real estate within your wardrobe. I’m currently doing this and a month into half of my hangers are still hanging on the rod backwards. I’m giving it one more month and anything not worn will be decluttered.
I'm guilty of feeling the guilt....lol! I find it almost painful to get rid of items that have been given to me or new clothes that I've bought and realize I don't really love. I definitely have to focus on whether they bring me joy or not. Otherwise your wardrobe can fill up with so many things you just won't wear.
Definitely! So often I would look in my wardrobe. It was so full, but I always felt like I had nothing to wear because it was mostly stuff I felt guilty about getting rid of rather than stuff I actually liked.
Wow, I never had so much cloths. I have less than your discard pile before decluttering actually. Good kuck! You seem a wonderful person! I just think if you want to keep out oceans blue, our planet green and our animals safe, you should just stop buying. You have enough for three lifetimes. It's my opinion only. I wish you all the best!
Aimee, you have such a bubbly personality that it makes me just so happy to watch one of your videos! Really looking forward to the ones about your new life in Bahrain, and really curious to hear about the differences with Kuwait! :) I'm currently applying in GCC/UAE and I must say you kind of inspired me...hope to relocate soon to the region!

That's awesome! I'm always amazed by how much I can go back and get rid of even after the initial major purge. It's so satisfying!

I love this idea! You are so right. I am so grateful you suggested this. Thank you!
Wow! That's alot of clothes! No shame though darling. We all struggle with something. Kudos to you for facing it again and getting it sorted out.
Thank you!
Its amazing how things build up again! I think i might need a 1 in 1 out policy.
I think that's a good idea!
Your wall plaque is stunningly beautiful!
Thank you!

I'm all for a maybe pile. I bet when you go back to confront it you won't even remember what's in there and then you won't mind getting rid of it.
I’m doing the Konmari Method now
I Decluttered a garbage bag full
Now for what Iv kept
I still have to try everything on to see if it makes me happy
This is my second day!
Huge Progress!!!!
You did good!
I enjoyed this❤️
That's amazing! Keep at it and you'll be amazed how much you're able to get rid of!

Good luck! I found it really hard when I first started, but it does get easier. I promise!

I completely understand how the "maybe" pile buys you some time to come to terms with giving things away.
may i ask where you get that beautiful wall thing !!!!???? you did a great job on your closet ,!!!!!!
It's from The Range. Thank you!
I am doing the Kon Mari method. I am currently working on craft supplies.
Good luck! I haven't gotten around to my craft supplies yet. It seems like such a hard one!
