You said it best I think at the end of the video. Looking back on these vids 10 years from now is going to be a treasure for you and your kids to see how much they've grown and all you guys did together. Beautiful thing that is.
Yeah. I don't think anyone really planned for the entire Lucas Oil field to show up 3 days early to use a regional tour's race date as a test and tune session. I get it the promoters and series officials love it when a few World of Outlaws or Lucas Oil guys show up to event. When it's all of them probably not so much. The drivers running for points in the Ironman series... They probably really didn't enjoy it. It's good experience, but so is trying to make the show at a Lucas Oil or Outlaws show at a home track. Except you know the going is gonna be tough.
@@haiwin224 All the owners care about is the money they get from the teams pulling in the pits and the fans money. The more trailers that pull in the fatter their pockets get. I'm not sure why Ryan would tow all the way there knowing He doesn't have the engine to compete, let alone brand new chassis(s) to put on the track. Those Lucas guys are putting 1k h.p. down while Ryan might be at 800-850. What a wasted trip and money.
@@forwarddrive4066 Well Ryan is 3rd in the Ironman points standings. I don't think he would want to sit out a points paying race and a chance for seat time at Eldora. That and the Lucas Oil race at Portsmouth getting cancelled changed the Lucas Oil driver's plans last minute. Most national touring guys don't race at the Baltes Classic even though it is typically right before the World 100. You can look at the 2023 Baltes Classic results and see there is only about 4 national tour guys that showed up there in 2023. Ricky Weiss, Nick Hoffman, Tyler Carpenter, and Kye Blight. Having an entire field of national tour guys show up wasn't something anyone could have planned for.
@@haiwin224 Good point. However, what good is seat time at Eldora when you know you're going to be nothing but lapped traffic. He tried the dream back in 2022 and had his ass handed to him then too. Yep, pulled off in the name of "saving the car". Take a hard look at the iron-man series and tell me who his top competition is. Not really that tough overall. Ryan came to 2 of my local tracks and ended up pulling off at both places. Our guys blew by him like he was parked. Just saying, maybe he should stay in his lane as far as competition. Schlenk came to these same tracks I mentioned and finished 2nd to Chub Frank and was about to pass for the lead on the last lap of a 40 lap race. You either have it or you don't. If you don't then why bother. Unless you enjoy quitting almost everywhere you're not in the top 5.
I think it's ironic that my fiance and I are in the background walking as you pulled up to the gate. She is wearing pink and I'm in the red t-shirt. Great job Sunday night.
was a good effort but you were just outclassed by the pros in their big motor cars..people don't realise what it takes to keep these cars going ..you can't redeck a race car like these ..you have to do it right and that means spending tons of cash..it was a smart decision to get a few laps in and shut it down..save your car and drive train for a more fair race...sendin yall good vibes from the gulf coast
Yes Ryan you said it I'd say your your 100 to 150hp down maybe one day someone that has money and wants to loan you a 950hp engine because you definitely know how to drive just need more ponies under the hood
I hope Rocket is helpen with some sponser money why would you be running an Rocket chassis at Eldora? Malcit, and Drami engine that has won every where they have Raced ask Donny Morran whow much money he made? anyway you can drive, you just need the right stuff longhorn chassis. Anyway I not a hater, like I siad you can drive, as always racing comes too one thing MONEY!
Give him money for an engine and he will. Takes alot of money to run these cars and probably paid the same from like 10th on back. No need to put unnecessary laps on your equipment.
you clearly have no idea how much money these cars require..why cost yourself 10 to 20 thousand dollars if you don't have to?..i know from experience..i have owned and raced every single class of car in the dirt track world..a motor is easily 20 grand a transmission is 5 to 10 grand a rearend is 5 to 10 grand..do i need to keep going?..he didn't need to "learn the track"..he's been there before but the problem is he was outclassed with all of the pros being there with their big motors
@@janeames1513 10-20 thousand?!!!!😂😂😂😂 Try closer to 35-40 for a Vic Hill or Clements fresh out of the crate. Even back in the early 2000's a competitive engine from Draime was around $28k. There's a local guy at my home track that runs a modified and he has $40k invested in his engine. It's a Tregler engine (which is one of the best built you can get in Pennsylvania) and he still struggles to win 4 or more features per season. He can drive like no other too so it ain't that He's lacking there. He's been racing for 40 + years.
😂 The hauler doesn't compete to win. The engines however do. I would have never even discussed going there with His outdated car and abused engine. A complete waste of money in my opinion. Could've taken the family to a amusement park for the day and camped out. But hey, who am I to say anything..,That poor old man scrubbing windows at 3am is just sad.
@@forwarddrive4066 200 000 dolllar cars easy!!!! and guys like devonport got three of them at one race 60 to 80 000 just for the motor..... they blow up they got antoher one waiting in the trailer
I think it was a total waste of money. Could've taken the family to Cedar Point and splurged on food or whatever there. That poor motorhome taking a beating for what?
Oliver is so loving and so pure. I still remember the first time i heard him say “ we racing at eldowaaa”!

Ryan, you have a very good father in law. That man works his butt off.
Lord I swear if I had money I would invest in you!! Your an Awesome Driver!
Best I think you ran at eldora! need a biggggg motor for that place. love to see you win and compete you have a blessed family sir! keep your head up!
So proud to represent you all the way up here in Maine. Just to make that field is insane. Well done.
You are doing great to make it threw the b main and start with some of the best drivers. You should be proud of yourself and your team and family.
Nice seeing you run at Eldora and great job Oliver
You people look like you have a good time every where you go. That’s a good thing!!
Every time I watch something like this it reminds me just how tough it is to race at this caliber. Them guys are wicked fast!!!!😳🏁😁

Good finish in your heat.
Ask the HTF guys where did they finish. Laps the best practice and tell of track conditions.

Glad to see you make the field and swim with the sharks 🦈. Proud of you!
great job in tough company 😀
Got some more laps in and came home in one piece. Was a good run. A few more ponies wouldn't hurt!👍🏁

Good job guys, the car looked pretty good.
Awesome
Too bad the iron man series got last race before world 100 test session packed with ringers. Great job Ryan!

Ryan, were all of the Amain cars big bucks or were there some family teams like you? That engine was doing all it could! WillyB
What do you run for engines clements Jay dickens?
Are you going back to run the world 100 ?
