Just saw it last night and he was phenomenal. The entire cast was brilliant.
Watching a video of Hadestown doesn't compare to the actual experience of seeing it live in theater. One of the best experiences ever.

Watched him a couple weeks ago and cried throughout the entire thing. Waterproof mascara or no mascara is the only way to watch this. Not a dry eye in the house by the end.
