Is Spanish "querer" is less than love.
Both are feelings and both express love, but to "love" is the top.
Love (amar) is unconditional, "querer" is between appreciation and love.

Exactly... To like or to have a superficial love for someone. Although "querer" also means "desire", it is used in a different way in this song. Props to Andy for doing such a great job with the translation, though. Not an easy feat by any means even for those fluently bilingual. Translations are tricky.

It's a hard song to translate because there really isn't a proper word in English for "querer" but the lyrics in Spanish are much more meaningful than in English..I really like your reactions and appreciate you reading the lyrics to your subscribers
Querer means want or kind of like "like" 😁 do you like or love? Do you want or love... I love wanting and sometimes it feels like love cause I love being in love, I love caring.
True. Some words have no translation. English is concise. Its also recognized as the international language for business... While, Spanish one can never get emotional enough. All the Romance languages are structured like that.

I love this song from Jose Jose! My dad loved him and my mom loves him. My favorite songs from him are “El Triste”, “Gavilan o Paloma”, “La Nave del Olvido”, “Buenos días amor”, “Almohada”, and this song. Cristian Castro did a whole album of his songs. He has this sweetness in his voice and I think that’s why people call him El Principe (The Prince). R.I.P. Jose Jose😢💜
