It's not only about his records. The thing is that his a genius. The way he plays the game is out of this world. His legendary speed, his vision for the game, his ability to play with both hands. Sometimes it seems like he is putting the cue ball where he wants after the shot. He is simply greatest player to ever play the game. He is the most talented player ever he is the rocket Ronnie O Sullivan.
I quite agree. However good anyone is, has been or will be again, there's just that extra thing that he's got that makes him stand out above the rest.

He truly is the most talented over the longest sustained period of time but until someone achieves 7 titles in LESS time than Hendry (which is just NOT POSSIBLE) Hendry will reign the "best" ever and Ronnie will have to settle for the "most talented".

Drago could have been a top player who won big comps but he always took too many chances leaving others in ..he could pot anyone off a table anyone but safety let him down v big boys ...great player though
British commentators can afford huge periods of silence because the nation knows the game inside out. Elsewhere around the world they are experts who are constantly explaining a stupidly complicated game to an audience of who many don't really have a clue what's going on
