Shaman is my favorite character from a personality perspective. He seems so lucid, he embraces the dying world. Seeing this war as a force if nature that must be reapected and cannot be controlled. And besides the line at 5:49, which feels like the most out of character, he seems to be the most openly philanthropic character. Scavenging not for himself, but for others.
I think he mean's "the bastards at home" in a more endearing sort of way tbh, it's also a line that he shares with the old man so take that as you wish.
With a face like that surely he must be Euruskin, reminds me of their Mechs with their sensor suites. Seems like he would spend his time at the Shrine Praying or giving Sermons to raise hope.
