Absolutely love Hungary 🇭🇺,when I lived in Czechoslovakia we do often trips to Budapest and summers we spent on Balaton, after we emigrated to Australia, every our trip to Europe we visited Budapest, great food, great people, and I love Orban, I don’t see him as dictator I see him like man who loves his country and his people, plus he has big moral values which are missing in Eu because of liberal leaders
I didn’t like Soviet Union, but Russia is not Soviet U. and I don’t see Putin as dictator either,
West is always talking about democracy,in Covid era western countries had dictatorship unfortunately, democracy died
I absolutely agree with Alex and Alexander 2 Greece gentlemen,

I`m from Slovenia and I visited Hungary a couple of times. Twice I went there on holiday.
The first time I went there, I felt exactly like you, Ania.
I was surprised by how similar their physique and mentality were to ours. The people are very friendly and kind. I find Hungary very beautiful, I love their architecture, and of course, their food :)
It`s no wonder that Empress Elisabeth alias Sissy was so in love with Hungary and its people :)
P.S.: I adore all your beautiful tops. You always look so lovely :) I must add that in later videos, I detected sadness in your eyes. A sadness that many of us feel. We are living in difficult times and it`s even harder when you`re an empath. Sometimes I run out of ideas on how to shield myself.
I hope everything goes to plan for you and that eventually, you will find a place that will resonate with you. If I had the opportunity to go somewhere, I would probably choose Russia.
Had anybody told me 20 years ago that I would say such a thing in 2022, I would have died of laughter because for various reasons, in my younger years, Russia had never been on my radar, not even for a visit, leave alone as a permanent home. Well, times are changing and we are changing with them.
    Take care, my friend!
Sending many thanks, hugs, light, and love your way.

Friends, many years ago, Carlo Cipolla, a professor of economic history at the University of California, published an essay outlining the fundamental laws of a force he perceived as humanity’s greatest existential threat: Stupidity.
It became a popular book later “ The basic laws of human stupidity”.
Well, it is rather a harsh and offensive word nowadays, so let’s change it to terms such as a lack of common sense and altered perception of reality. This is something you are born with or without, thus it is not anybody’s fault.
So, he postulated his five laws. The very first law could explain a lot:
“Law 1: Always and inevitably everyone underestimates the number of stupid individuals in circulation.”

Hi Ania. Thanks for your video.
People of Crimea are and were always Russian even though during Soviet Union time the name of the land was changed. People remained the same, generation to generation.
When Ukranian conflict started in 2013-2014 when the "New" Ukrainian Government started to promote Bandera's ideology, Russian speakers in Crimea wanted to join Russia just because they didn't agree with the new ideology, and they saw ethnic discrimination and after Odessa tragedy they definitely decided that the new Ukraine wasn't their country any more.
So, yes, Crimea was always ethnicly Russian land.

Ania I’m not surprised of the feedback from a great city of Eastern Europe. It’s a reminder of why everything is being revealed and in the time is taking. Many people have been taken by lies and I’m not surprised of their opinions. My family lives in Romania and my cousins in Bucharest are all jabbed and love the EU. My family in the country side feel differently. I used to be frustrated at how slow things are moving along esp knowing people are being purposely injured or worse and although this makes me a bit sad I see we have to have patience and faith. Thank you 🙏

That exhibition of damaged Russian munitions from Ukraone sounds a little over obsessive wrt Russiaphobia.

He never talked much about that time but somehow he got to Africa and joined the Free Polish army. The reason I mentioned this is I can’t understand why the Polish people are supporting Ukraine?

Crimea peninsula and Ukrainian Black Sea Coast. Used to be part of Crimean Khanate, a Turkic successor state to the Golden Horde. The primeer industry of the Crimean Khanate was raiding Polish and Russian lands and capturing slaves and selling them to Ottoman Empire. During this time, even thought these lands are increadibly fertile. They were barren because the raiding made it impossible to live there. The raids and protection against them consumed a huge part of the resources of Poland and Russia each year, and is one of the reasons Sweden could go toe to toe with Russia even thought it had a much smaller economic and demographic base.
When Russia conquered Crimean Khanate and put a stop to the raids. It became safe to do agriculture there. And population sky rocketed. Southern Ukraine was re-populated by immigration from all over, Russians, Poles, Germans, Greeks. And you can still see the borders of the Crimean Kahnate in the presidential election of 2010.
Fun fact, Crimea was the last place where the ancient Germanic language of Gothic was spoken. Russian traveller recorded it in the 19th century.

In his speech, Duda not only uttered the usual "Crimea is Ukraine", comparing the peninsula with Gdansk or Lublin (they say, the same integral part of the country), but also wished that Zelensky would be his guide there after liberation. He remembered, he says, how warmly Mickiewicz wrote about Taurida, and he wanted to go there madly. I didn't want to until 2014, and then I wanted to! 😂

In his poems, Crimea was so close to Poland that I thought I could always reach out and touch Crimea.

When the Polish leaders say this about the Ukrainian lands, my head immediately begins to throb: "Eastern Kres, Eastern Kres". Is Pan Duda licking his lips not only for Galicia and Volhynia? 😏
I think that Russia will respond to such quirks? Duda is not some ordinary politician singing a boring mantra about Crimea. It smells like an encroachment on territorial integrity, doesn't it? So far, only Zakharova (Foreign Ministry speaker) has reacted by comparing the words of the alpha Pole that Ukraine is "a country of huge opportunities with great prospects and huge natural resources" with Hitler's dictum regarding the use of the occupied territories.

And don't forget that one side was Fidesz, and the other side was union of 7 opposition-parties. So Fidesz alone is the strongest party in Budapest too. Since April there was 4 early election in Budapest and the Fidesz won 3 of 4 places.

Ania, love your channel. You are so deep person. I would write honestly and am not going to be engaged in propaganda. I voted for Putin just once. And I am not his fan. He was indifferent to economy and I was not glad to it.The problem is that society in Russia is devided. There are liberals who are against Putin. Their vision of politics is Western liberal protecting LGBT values. This part of society are not very patriotic and is always ready to seek for better life in the West. The major group of people are more traditional. Putin is seemed to be traditional conservative who protects Russian interests. The question about freedom of speech can be disputive. But you may find a lot of liberal channels in YT like Yulia Pogrebijskaya who are against military operation. So nobody is imprisoned for telling something against this war. But Russian TV became more promilitary and it is obvious. As for negative againt Orban, I should say that society in the West is devided too. It is not only in Hungary where people are devided to liberals and conservatives. I see a lot of conservatives in US and other countries. I wish a peace and have opportunity to travel. I have never been to Poland and Hungary. But I think they are worth to be visited.

I am sure the generations of residents of Danzig (now long dead) would disagree.
Just fyi... I'm American. No Polish, Russian, Ukrainian or German heritage so I'm not picking sides. I simply recognize political pandering and gaslighting when it's served on a platter.

That woman with the dogs you met while having a coffee? Here's a flash for her: with a narrow-minded opinion of today's Russia, though she has not been there in twenty (20!) years? Russia does not need you. You are welcome to stay in Germany as it enjoys its ride to deindustrialization courtesy of the weak Olaf Schultz and the EU.
Ania, too bad you did not make plans to meet her again in the spring after she has spent the coming winter dealing with all the promised hardships brought on by the failed Russian sanctions which have succeeded ONLY in bringing the EU and, of course, their ally the UK, to the brink of disaster.

Sounds like Crimea belonged to whoever overran it last for most of recorded history. In 1954, when Khrushchev made Krim part of Ukraine, he wasn't trying to do Ukraine SSR any favors. He did it to make them bear the cost of rebuilding it. It's a beautiful place with a tragic history for the most part. You can certainly argue Ukraine is not entitled to call it their own, but then again, neither is Russia. Both were colonizing powers, like Turkey. A lot of the people living there were forcibly relocated or simply eliminated to make space for Russians. It was a common Soviet method of control, applied brutally, and resulted in an enormous death total that will never be known, in Crimea and beyond. This version of Russia is doing the same to their "undesirables". I don't know what the right answer is for Crimea, but it is naïve to believe Moscow has its best interest at heart. Revisionism, repression and control seem to be the flavors of the day, and this is intensifying.
