What's not mentioned is that the price of all those knives on the table exceeds 1.2 million USD, truly commendable
$400 and $500 USD for the revised bushcrafters (model163)? benchmade taking the Martin Shkreli playbook these days. 400 for a slab of S30v steel with g10 handles and no moving parts. 400 dollars
"Cutting charcuterie for a fishing guiding trip". Yup, she nailed the current intended audience for Benchmade.
For real though, Knife Center exclusive 710, G10 handles, CPM D2 steel, preferably uncoated, I will throw money at you.
That's hilarious.
you need an otf because you're holding on your monocle with your other hand.

😂😂😂 right
the axis lock was basically what distinguised them from other companies... now that the rights have expired and everyone else can do it too... theyre just ordinary with ridiculous prices... If a snob was a knife company its this
I know right? Plus, they only make axis lock but no other locks like frame lock or liner lock. I wonder why?
This is like saying a wilson combat is no different from a 1911 made in the filipino jungles. Ive already had multiple non benchmade crossbar locks fail on me. You (still) get what you pay for.
Spyderco's water line -- the Salt series -- offers three choices of steel, not just MagnaCut. MagnaCut is not as corrosion-proof as H2. I also think the bright colors of the Salt knives makes more sense than just an orange lanyard.
Spyderco is made for users benchmade is made for Instagram
I love the Salt Line but Spyderco’s customer service sucks and Benchmade’s is top notch.
@DamionJR4923 idk about spyderco's thankfully I've never had to use it but i have had great luck with benchmade's customer service.
@@57HEMIviken I've been 'using' Benchmade knives for over 25 years! That made me
@Hiluxtaco benchmade was my first expensive knife and i own multiple, cant remember the last time i carried one.
DCA is so darn competent.
It took them just a day to realize they are much better off not saying the prices!
Their pricing is going to sink them.
i guess benchmade made (or still makes?) enough from Govt contracts that they DGAF about regular customer joe. BM will keep Discontinuing model after model - there is no way they can keep designing so many new knives and expect to sell them at these prices. They are delusional
For anyone wondering about the mini Bushcrafter, it's listed at $342 on BladeHQ for the S30V version....
Benchmade - you guys make great knives but are absolutely high off your butts with these prices.
Alright knifes…. Alright.
Mediocre knives
The griptillian is arguably better value than the para lw bd1n lineup, but it stops there.
@@davidf3974 barley. I’d take a base grip over a base para 3LW but any other para 3 lw is better than any other grip
Greed
I dont get how spyderco can have decent prices on every knife, and use just about every steel there is with really good cutting geometry/heat treat, yet benchmade gives you half as much for 2x the price
Accurate
CARIBBEAN G-10 BLACK/YELLOW LEAF 3.7 inch lc200n blade is $310 MSRP. the MSRP for the new full size Adira in magnacut is $250. I dont think that the salt vs the water series justify the claim "half as much for 2x the price" is justified in this case. value in this case seems pretty comparable to me. (birdshot video on the water series has the msrp given towards the end.) You might say MANIX 2 LIGHTWEIGHT SALT CPM MAGNACUT is a more comparable knife but that is still $232 MSRP.
i know the narrows got a a lot of deserved criticism for its price but is $382 msrp for coated s30v, g10 shaman really a "decent" price? (I know that vendors sell it below msrp but that goes for benchmade as well)
S30v bugout is $160 and an s30v manix 2 is $185. Similar size, similar locking mechanism, similar materials. When you actually compare similar models the prices really aren't much different. But people just love to repeat the same groupthink narrative
@kristiankamph4334 yeah people like to compare the high end BM models to the Taiwan/China produced Spydies and act like BM is ripping people off. When you compare USA models with similar materials there's virtually no difference.
@@arrowheadguys7637the Manix 2 s30v uncoated is $150 and its a longer/bigger blade of steel
I'm surprised that they leave those knives just out on a table. That's almost $25,000 worth of knives, just there!
They don't leave those tables unattended...

Surely, someone in marketing and pricing must read all of these comments regarding their absolutely ridiculous costs....

They definitely are reading the comments. That's why they aren't telling the prices now!
Oh yeah, we painted it black so that will be an extra idk... $400 for the coated blade
I’m sitting here watching this, actually oiling down and cleaning sheaths of the 4 benchmades I own in front of me, 1st gen D2 Balisong, Contego partial serrated S30V with the old school black micarta/g10 looking grip, which might be the best fixed blade benchmade did, I like the nimravus better, but I love the contego and that knife has backed some terrys down in the desert, Adamas fixed cru wear, and the CBK 175 push dagger….in my opinion, the knives that I grew up yelling at the spyderco and sog and Esee people about, and now benchmade is making sets of 7 or 8 different knives look exactly the same, talking about needing these spec knife lines to be safe and colorful and easy to find if dumped in the water, and then just making them all the same color with a paracord loop and bead on it, all are magnacut with no option, when H1 and H2 probably should be offered for the Water Line, like Spyderco does with the SALT, and some cheaper steel for the steep country line, since a lot of people right now probably can’t afford to buy magnacut, you guys roll the cru wear and m4 and powder D2, which really should have been at the front of your development team’s mind since you’re charging 400 bugs for that magnacut bushcrafter, oh and did I mention, after that price you have the nerve to put grivory on everything and tell us it’s to keep it lighter, not sure I’ve been told a worse and obvious lie in my whole life. What I am looking in front of me is 4 bad@$$ benchmade knives made back when Benchmade was competitor in this industry, and on the screen I see a lazy design program and money grubbing greed at a level in this market I don’t think I’ve seen before, except with this last rollout of benchmade folders, I used to smash the fans of other knife companies representing the northwest being proud benchmade is made where I’m from. As far as I’m concerned, with all that garbage you put on the table in Vegas coupled with the bugout and the bailout, you guys at Benchmade are a sellout. Take all those shitty teal and orange knives and jam them right up your a$$3s. Thanks for wasting our time.
Benchmade, good knives insane prices.
Wow thank you for bringing out some small fixed blades awesome!
Boy oh boy. DCA could compliment a turd if he had to! What a pro.
Every year, I hope to see the 943 resurrected.
Being able to run a 943 through the custom shop would be fantastic
Also, the Anthem, obviously
There’s over $100k on that table 😂
I wouldn't steal it if I were you.
That Redoubt is absolutely insane. $200 for plastic handle scales and CPM-D2?! No, thank you.
I agree, they’re overpriced! But CPM D2 is actually a good steel, it’s basically the same as CTS-XHP.
woah, the mini bugout is $170!! (are the thumb-studs gold plated??)

I like the Magnacut auto Adamas
Love these shot show videos cause the editor doesn't put music track on them!
I received the Auto Immunity for a gift brand new . The knife came beyond dull t6 hardware and the clip is all you feel on the scale and the clip is held by two big head screws not flat or inset it is hard too believe a knife of this price would leave the factory without a sharp edge but it did . I know enough I will stop complaining
Strange that you don't have a video showing that it came dull from the factory.
@@sheltermonkey6065why is it strange ? Why would I waste time making a video on a knife that ripped paper not cut straight from the factory ! it's in the pouch it came I guess I could use it as a paper weight . I was stating the Facts so it doesn't happen to anyone else !

Since I bought my bugout 535-FE last year - I feel drawn to the Benchmade lineup more than my economy can handle.
That adamas auto and immunity is on my list. Depending on price of course.
Fr Benchmade needs to take notes on the pricing comments and tighten up the qc too… and work on better grind lines. And ditch that- everything needs an axis lock. Mind set.
Wish Benchmade put Magnacut into all of their older knives this year. Imagine if they simply updated the existing Bugout, Griptilian, 940, Barrage, Crooked River, and more by just switching the steel to Magnacut. Would've been a simple thing to implement and the price increases over the past years on these existing models would be somewhat more tolerable.
I'm definitely interested in the Necron, but the rest of the lineup for 2024 just feels very lackluster in comparison to 2017-2021. Little innovation and some of the new stuff doesn't really feel special.
Switching steels in production is more than just a different metal purchase in an office
Asking for 450 bucks for a bali without bushings is crazy. You could get a SlifT for that price and you'd have pitch perfect tolerances from a flipper focused company
Bring back the 943 with updated materials!!!
I want a 940 with that version of the updated AXIS Lock. Love my original 940. 😁
I can only imagine the price
I'm guessing Amy is a product manager. She's learning. Much better than last year's Shot Show. I can help with your "Voice of Customer." Your margins are out of line with your competitors.
It's really hard to still be interested in the Benchmade lineup. The prices policy is such a no-go
The claymore otf serrations will have you saw for days…and then flip over for more days, should have made one side fully serrated…since BM is being ridiculous. Also, blue and green handles for the hunter fishermen to disappear when dropped in the water.
I would bet the farm that Benchmade sales are way down.
Adira in my opinion should be bright orange scales like the old 551 H2O
That SS special looks awesome
Companies should make small metal seatbelt type sheath holster band that has a button that you can just push with one finger unlocking the cotton bands that hold the knife intonthe sheath... it won't get caught on trees and bushes and pop open but it's even easier to undo to release the blade from the sheath... much like "Arcade" companys' plastic belt buckle click belt buckle but instead of pinching the bottom and top just manufacter a metal version with a center button that can be pushed with one finger to unlock👍🏼anyways just a good thought
Benchmade pricing makes Microtech and Reate pricing almost seem reasonable. The Infidel has to be the worst value knife made anywhere.
Reate is not overpriced even though I don't care for a lot of their models simply because of materials, tolerances and high end machine work. Microtech makes a more specialty, niche product so I understand the prices. Benchmade Bugout for $180 is like selling a Toyota Corolla for $50,000.00.
I’ll fondly remember Benchmade as the company that got me in to the knife community. But it’ll be a memory because I can’t see myself buying another thing from them the way they’re heading.
On the plus side, this lady is a good shill. If you didn’t know better you’d think they cared about customers.
All these knives are at a bargain MSRP of $799!
“Pocket carry fixed blade”… the sheath is 3x the size of the knife….???
Why is does it seem like Benchmade is just trying to be cool with new designs, but has no idea what it’s doing?
DUDE EXACTLY. When I saw the sheath I immediately changed my mind.
Benchmade prices suck
I wish they would bring back the 915, best knife EVER!
My Benchmades rock, my 555 is a work horse
BM - Please make a Drop Point version of the Immunity. Thanks!
I've been criticizing both Spyderco and Benchmade for lack of innovation, but this Water Collection is a bold move. Even if it doesn't work out, at least they were willing to do something different.

No more Narrows please-the pricing for what is offered was nuts.
That limited 710 is a good looking knife.
aaaaand that's where all good things about it ends 😄
And an expensive one too!
"Benchmade Team" With all this magnacut, let's make a knife that does well in a corrosive environment.

"Benchmade Team" YEAH and the color as well!
"Former Spyderco employee" But if it's the same color as water how will you see it underwater??
"Benchmade Team" oh crap....Add a bright orange lanyard...
Sad when you have a great knife company but your prices are so high that know one wants to buy them 🤔😳
Price sheep are in effect. 😂😂😂 The Adira looks dope AF, love my salt native but it might get replaced. $207 for the mini isn’t too shabby.
If Benchmade put a better heat treat on those Water Line models I'd buy a handful of them, but 60-62 hrc on Magnacut ain't it.
60-62 is a good HRC when you are wanting higher stainless and hard use is less important. I know some TH-cam influencers want high HRC on everything but that is naive, it depends on how the knife will be used.
@@davidgarrett5671 Actually you have all that completely backwards. Higher hrc inproves stainlessness. Not the other way around. Running softer like 60-62 actually IS better for hard use, not less like you stated. So for EDC and filet knives like the ones I was referring to a higher HRC WOULD be preferred to improve stain resistance as well as edge stability and retention for "how the knife will be used".
@@arrowheadguys7637 I don’t believe I do given the recipe of magnacut. You seem to want higher HRC for every steel, not sure where you are getting this from.
@davidgarrett5671 you do. Do some research. You are 100% wrong on your assumptions regarding heat treat and its impact on stain resistance and toughness. In fact, DCA himself has explained these very details several times. Perhaps instead of just randomly disagreeing with people you should pay more attention to the content and learn something.
@@arrowheadguys7637 please tell me when he said higher heat treat (or longer) adds to stain resistance on Magnacut. There are a lot of variables in heat treatment. So is higher HRC better? Always? Or is that an oversimplification? Do these companies that make these knives no nothing about heat treatment? Are the Italians completely oblivious too it after 150 years? Personally I think grinding and the edge angle is more important. So does the creator of Magnacut. And I don’t randomly disagree. And I like to learn. Last year at Blade Show Texas I asked several makers about heat treat in general, and Magnacut and M390 in particular.
Everyone keeps talking about their prices, which everyone agrees is ludicrously high, but people must still be buying them! If you want them to lower their prices, stop buying them!!!
