What a way to start the season, amazing win. Man I missed this team so much. The braves flipped this game upside down late and did not look back. Strider for the most part was good, 5 innings, 2 runs, 8 strikeouts. Bullpen was fantastic. Wheeler was shutting us down but 9 runs scored on the philly bullpen. Acuña, Olson, Harris, Arcia, and Duvall all had great games. Hope murphy is ok, great win to start out the season. Max Fried on the mound tomorrow, let’s go braves #ForTheA
Looking for jarred to get hot, he’s going to be a key for us later on in the season if he gets hot.

Awesome showing from the Phils. Glad to see Harper playing well at 1st, Marshy coming out against the wind for the 2-run home run, and Wheeler doing his thang. The closers, like the past 2 years, is my only concern. Two amazing teams face to face to start off this season. Braves batters showed up against our closers, but I hope it wakes them up. Also, nice pitching Strider, we still will always give you a warm welcome when you start at CBP. GG Braves.

+ Not the Best Result from Strider, But he had to Battle Both the Phillies Players... AND Their Hateful Fans! Overall though, not too shabby! 5 Innings of 2-Run, 3-Hit Ball, Walking 2 and Striking Out 8 in a No Decision.
+ The Bullpen though was EXCELLENT! Jimenez, Johnson, Minter, and Bummer worked together to Finish the Final 4 Innings, allowing just 1 Run on 2 Hits, Walking 1 and Striking Out 7! Pierce Johnson gets the Win in Relief, Pitching a FLAWLESS 7th while Striking Out 2!
ROTATION TOTAL: 9 Innings, 3 Runs, 5 Hits, 3 Walks, 15 KILLS, 1 Home Run Allowed.
It Took 6 Innings before the Offense got going, but when it did... They Sent the Phillies Fans RUNNING for the Exits!
+ Welcome Back to the A, Adam DUUUUVALLLL! 1-2 with the GAME-TYING 2-RUN Double in the 7th Inning to get the Braves Off the Mat!

I grew up a braves fan in the SF Bay area. I've only met like 5 other fans in my area. I'm sure there is more. I gotta say this makes me happy but if we win the division this year just to get bounced out the playoffs by the Phillies again, I'm still going to be a braves fan.
Braves first 4 batters are as good as it gets. Entire lineup is crazy talented.
Until October comes and they see Philly as their opponent. Braves usually dominate the Phillies in the regular season. In the postseason not so much.

i am from Georgia. i just got home from a long day farming , getting spit on and chewed out by my boss. i stopped by chic fil a to pick up a to-go bag of my favorite meal. i've just kicked off my shoes and kissed my 6 children and overweight wife to sleep. i'm now catching up to the MLB scoreboard for the day and see there is a clerical error. it shows spencer strider and the braves went into citizens bank park and beat the phillies 9-3. what was the actual correct score of the game?

Braves got off to a slow start at the beginning, but they managed to absolutely demolish the supposed best bullpen in baseball. I know it's just game 1 of 162, but for both teams, this could set the trend of how the year goes. Sometimes the media can jinx a team when they make proclamations like this.
