This is the first video I’ve had the honor of seeing relating to gemstone/jewelry creation in which the craftsman allowed us to see the process when it doesn’t go as he had hoped. Thank you.
I love Inclusions in Gemstones, especially the highlighting or effective use of inclusions when Faceting. I show a wonderful example in the next few weeks. A Topaz with a needle inclusion, hexagonal cut with only 12 facets, which looks like a cube. Sometimes it doesn't work as in this example, what remains is usually an instructive Video. Thanks for watching and your words, I'm always happy, when viewers also love Inclusions in Gemstones. Take a look at my little Series "Influence of Inclusions" it is fascinating to work with Inclusions and will be updated soon.
@@GermanGemcutter thank you, I will take a look at your series and look forward to new videos! The inclusions can add amazing effects, I don’t know why it is not more common to see. It is my hope to learn gemstone cutting when eventually I save up enough to get a facet machine. I will make stones like you eventually!
@@Stoked778 Thank you 🙂 Next Video is an Aquamarine with tiny white lightning like inclusions in Arya Akhavans Igloo Design👍 I also saved my money for a long long time. I started with a small used Flat Lap Machine, start cutting Cabochons and simple Designs, later also Mirrorcuts in free Hand Faceting. It is a very good way to learn how to cut Gemstones. I think we just need more Gemcutters, which works with Inclusions to show People how beautiful and unique they can be. I hope you will get a Faceting Machine 💎
Your amethyst does not have an inclusion. That is a crack. Surprisingly, it actually looks like a nice flat cleavage plane, which is really unusual in quartz. More likely an example of the normal conchoidal fracture, or maybe a parting line, but it just might be a cleavage, which is wicked cool.

Thank you very much. We learn best from mistakes.
Just found your channel and it’s super cool and interesting to see use of inclusions in gemstones.

Thank you for this video, very helpful to see about cleavage .
Thank you for watching, it is due to a big inclusion but it shows very good what happend if a Gemcutter dont pay attention to cleavage.
