I love how he takes a map and a compass... It must be his military background. I doubt either of those tools would help most people.
I guess that totally depends on where you do your running!
You'd be a fool not to take a map and compass with you out on the Scottish Highlands.
But you are a fool if you take them without knowing how to use them. All children should be taught how to use them. I speak as a former Scout leader who taught navigation to some who are now ML qualified.

@@travellingshoes5241 That's definitely not a posh Scottish accent. People think if you don't have a Glaswegian accent . He's from Skye- Highlands n Islands. Standard accent for that area.
