Let's look towards the Chilli Bowl. Buddy Kofoid looking very good racing in New Zealand. Logan Seavey will be race fit to defend his title also racing in New Zealand. Floating under the radar was Michael Pickens landing a Chilli Bowl ride with Keith Kunz. Last time out with KKM and first time in a KKM car Pickens finished 2nd to Daison Pursley at Kokomo. Probably the best equipment Pickens has been in at the Chilli Bowl since his time racing for the Swindells. With Larson, Bell and Courtney back in the fold, the 2025 addition is going to be interesting..
I used to be a (multiple)track announcer, and always had to break the DQ news to the spectator fans and everyone in the pit area. In one instance, the winner was DQd and threw a huge fit in front of everybody. The promoter’s response was, (paraphrasing here) “I’d rather piss off one racer and have the rest of the drivers be happy about it, other than have one racer thrilled with his win and the rest of the racers pissed off.” That’s what good tech can do for the promoter.
All these racing orgs want to put their hands on the scales trust me. WoO, High Limit, Nascar, usac all have race directors, officials that are company men. Happens in pro sports too
Kevin deciding to suddenly throw this stuff out there when replying to Justin Reimers account that does nothing but shit on everything High Limit ALL THE TIME is...questionable. Like you're giving traction to a person who's accused Hess of being a pedophile and constantly shit talks Brad Sweet, Larson, High Limit, and literally everything about it all the time. Justin Reimers is a cry baby who's just upset his daddy couldn't save his job. If Nouse wanted to talk about this, he should've actually reached out to Matt Weaver or Jeremy Elliot or anyone credible, not twitter.
He’s not giving traction to anyone. He’s simply reporting on something that’s considered to be a relevant topic of interest to the community. Aka News. He gave both perspectives of the argument and compiled viewers to make their own conclusions. He expressed his personal opinion, just as you are expressing that of your own. He clearly disclosed the fact that their was no hard evidence to validate these claims. Your opinion on the subject is likely no more enlightened then anyone else, but appears to be more them skepticism and driven by multiple biases. It’s foolish to believe that any former employee is simply a disgruntled employee when they drop claims of such behavior. People tend to keep their mouth shut when they are under contract or part of an organization. That’s how the world works. A former employees distain for some also doesn’t immediately discredit their testimony. It’s 2024 and just one day will become 2025. The notion that a journalist is required to make a statement public is an antiquated ideology do to modern technology and how the Internet works. This doesn’t prevent journalists from investigating the truth about these issues. In fact, it’s literally what journalism is. The people you accredit as being trusted sources often just publish fluff pieces or cut, copy and paste an official narrative. Similar to when the local paper just posts the local police department’s official report as if it was fact. Let’s not pretend like they are investigative journalists meeting confidential sources in a dark alley then vigorously tracking down leads on a hunch to provide the public with truth. It’s Motorsports journalism, it’s all fluff by individuals with close friendships to sanction bodies. Even if there’s a rule change these guys don’t have the intuition to question the integrity or common sense of those decisions in the reporting. At best they may interview a few drivers for an opinion. Let’s be clear there’s systemic favoritism, corruption, politics, and alternative motives in every single institution on the planet. This is no different for motor sports sanction body’s. The statements that illegal components intentionally slipped through just complies with normal reality regardless of that conflicts with one’s preferred beliefs. Skepticism and neutrality without proof is a good posture, however you made instantaneous judgments that make you no different then those whom are quick to assume the claims are fact. This validates my other statement above discussing how people in modern society view a topic with bias confirmation with facts only being relevant or necessary IF the lack of such facts support one’s beliefs but then, said facts are suddenly deemed irrelevant if they too conflict with them.
@ChrisS-oo6fl That's a super long post that you're seemingly thinking I'm talking about this justin which I'm not. If you aren't sure who I'm talking about id be careful with that lol. I'm simply stating that he could've reached out to any number of motorsports writers about it instead of talking on Twitter replying to someone who has been unbelievably unhinged towards high limit for like 10 months.
I'm sure high limit officals are told to look the other way at times, I just don't think the outlaws are different. Anyone who has raced locally knows how crooked it can be even at that level
This. Early 90's at an particular west coast Outlaw show where it was super heavy and you needed all the horsepower you can muster you could smell the nitro methane fuel that was added to a certain Indiana drivers car (not Kinser) during qualifying. Unmistakably it was nitro added to the fuel and ONLY in qualifying. Several local officials noticed and asked the Outlaws officials if they were going to do anything about it? They just grinned and said there wasn't any problem to address. They protect their star performers, it is a show after all.
It's wild the racing industry keeps coming out with all this new technology and then everyone turns around complaining about guys cheating. If you want less of a headache, then keep it more simple. I 100% believe cheating is going on in both WoO and high limit
I would have a hard time racing in a series that owners are also competing in. There's a lot of grey area in high limit, especially when they're making the call after they climb out of the car.
I mean I don't have a problem with them running the series, especially larson since he doesn't go for points, while they promote/run the series. I do see a huge problem with them having anything to do with officiating at the tracks. And that seems to be happening. It seems to be an easy fix, but apparently noone has either balls or freedom to tell them to shut up and drive.
It’s sort of an oxymoron or something when you think about high limit not enforcing tech rules, if that is the case. Brad and Kyle are a sanctioning body- so if they want to allow traction control or taller wicker bills they can just allow those things. They make the rules, so there shouldn’t ever be a need to be loose with the enforcement.
I have no idea whether the allegations are true or not. Either way, it’s not a good look for HL. Just like I’ve said before, the rules should be the same for everyone. Great info!
Nouse is doing his job and someone above him isn't and that needs to change if someone is illegal at least tell them here's your warning and don't do it again but it doesn't sound like that's not happening either and that's the problem
@christopheroelkers9409 it's pretty clear that high limit officials and outlaw officials don't like each other the burner account is the outlaws main guys son
If the guy has a legitimate claim he should have posted all known incidents. If he doesn't or won't then it will appear he's being a disgruntled former employee.
Justin maybe you could add a cry baby addition to your show, sponsored by Kleenex, we all get annoyed at whining. Quit blubbering, and get better at whatever you do. Love the show and insights look forward to an awesome new year.
Rico should have known better than to get drunk with luch monte and play with fireworks probably shouldn't have done that ! Great racing here in Australia anyway.
Kevin Nouse hasn't been wrong in the past here in PA..... Just saying lol. As I continue to say as well... If you can bet on it, that means it can be manipulated
All Kevin has to do is provide proof. And since he has so much integrity, that shouldn’t be hard to do. 🙃 And, Justin Reimers…isn’t he the ones that got into the incident with a crew member in 2022 when he was still with WoO? Fairly sure it was Mike Hess who told him cut the shit back then in the video that was floating around.
I was an official for 40 years, never have i been told to look the other way never,if they did do that they are not officials,They are FANS,go back to the Grandstands and sit down and shut up !
Hope yall had a good holiday week, the interviews were great. Also, wheres all the "KyLe IsNt EvEr a FaVoRiTe, hE NeVeR WiNs" clowns at? Anyways, happy new year everybody, even the Larson haters.
The issue is Brad sweet and Kyle write the checks. In a series that they compete in that’s fine if everyone is honest, but there’s a reason why we have inside trading laws people are not.
The “disgruntled” argument is the constant go-to for discrediting a leak or whistle blower. People will seek bias confirmation by any means possible to support their preferred narrative or predetermined opinion. We are this with everything today and most notably in the political spectrum. Faces and evidence are only important if one chooses not to believe something but on contrary they are suddenly irrelevant if they now collide with one’s perception or reality. Commonsense rarely factors into the equation as it’s proving not so common today.
What if Nouse was let go because he was looking the other way and Hess and Sweet caught on to it? Now he’s accusing High Limit of doing the stuff he was let go for. I mean Eliason was very vocal about High Limit sticking to their rules after he was DQ’d…….makes me think Nouse is a bitter POS.
He claims he was just fine to move on from racing but then he chooses to air out all this supposed dirty laundry online. Obviously he's a petty, spiteful person.

The Rico and Toby croc video was actually filmed last year, and only released this year. And not filmed recently.
@@thegame311 I vouch for that… that video was filmed at my house in December 2023

Is there any scenario where Sweet could own and run HL and not be second guessed with officiating etc?
If sweet flips or DNFs. That’s it really
What happened with Eliason not going to the scales?
DQ'd
But does anyone know why he didn't go to the scales? I know it happens from time to time but dam that's a costly mistake
@@PulsingKrugotvoid He stated that he was not used to going to the scales after the B main, but that was the rule and he admitted fault.

You could try talking a bit faster
You can control the speed of the video playback. Hit the gear icon. #yourewelcome
@DIRTRACKR or I could just not watch the rest of the video which I did ... Why talk so fast ???? No-one else does
This is just how I talk. And a lot of people talk faster than I do. If you don't want the info, that's your prerogative. ✌✌
If someone is going to open their big mouth they better have proof. Otherwise for me I believe none of it.
