FYI, Bearing manufacturers do not over pack the bearings with grease as it will cause drag and heat. I use to have the same philosophy as you but sometimes less is more.
Does it matter which side of the bearing sticks out or goes in
It's amazing that you can buy a new bearing that has almost no grease. Makes you wonder what other short cuts they're taking.
The bearings that came out of the bike were bone dry.

If you have a MIG gun run a beed around the inside the outer race
