Lyrics:
[Intro]
("Get down!") Yessuh, (uh huh uh huh uh huh..)
Slip-N-Slide Records
Uhh, fin' to take it to da house
Just get on up and ("Get down!")
[Verse 1]
Callin my peoples all across the world
This song goes out to all the boys and girls
You want them thugs to come and turn yo' party out
You better take it to da house, (c'mon) now (uh uh uh)
(uh.. yessuh!)
[Verse 2]
Slip-N-Slide get loose
Mo' punch than your bowl of juice
And ain't nobody mo' jiggier than us
Stuff so ruff it causes head rush like what?
Give it to me bring it here
Don't stop girl shake it here shake it there
Let Money Mark get off in yo' derriere
We off da chain fo' the whole year
So if you look good with a big ol' butt
Live in yo' own crib and make yo own bucks (yessuh!)
Hit me up, Tre+ dot com
And tell me where you from, uhh..
[Verse 3]
Smoke out, choke out, we get
Off da chain like we just broke out
You don't know bout me J. Dot
When I come though all the haters get hot
Cause I got mo' hoes, mo' dank
Mo' cheese in da bank, mo' rank
My dawgs on dubs, yours ain't
My dawgs do whatever, yours can't
[Hook]
Cause we them niggas that's gon' make you
Get up out yo seat and ("Get down!")
We don't play we - take it to da house
M.I.A. - take it to da house
This the way we - take it to da house
Take it to da house - take it to da house
Three-oh-five - take it to da house
Boy we got dat fire - take it to da house
Slip-N-Slide - take it to da house
Take it to da house - take it to da house
[Verse 4]
Okay play with it yo ain't no stoppin it
S-N-S and we rock rock rockin it
We gon' lock it and do our thang
Cause my dream team takin all the rings
I got, Tre+ who beatin much guts
And uhh, Deuce Pop' pimpin news non-stop an'
Lost Tribe to my side just vibin
And J.V. gon' ball with me
T double D, he off in that Excursion
Swervin all on the curve with a virgin
And I'm Trina, you heard my name
I'm still "Da Baddest" ain't a damn thang changed
[Verse 5]
Now it's time to get down with yo boy C.O
It's me n Money Mark in the big freak show
Niggas recognize, hoes do too
When I creep through the room with the Slip-N-Slide crew
Gimme room cause I'm buckwild man
I'll get'cha krunk, get'cha loose in the stands
Tre+ and we're runnin it still
Funk Boogie, spin the wheel!
[Hook]
[Verse 6]
Well order two mo' bottles of Crissy Cris'
And get drunk pissy while you listen to this
All you rookie-ass niggas don't try the shit
Some busta-ass niggas can't buy a hit
Gimme a break, and a beat I can vibe with
A Nick Quest video and a fine bitch
'Bout fifty-five spins and a mic check
Ay yo, play my shit
I never had sex that costed
I fuck so much I'm exhausted
And this new shit I'm flossin
I got that cause I'm bettin' with the Dolphins, huh
Slip-N-Slide's fin' ta take it to da house
New hot shit, fo' you to ride out
And for the niggas that tried there's nuttin left
Yo' ho must think we somethin else
Fuck fame, we out to get paid
Born and raised in the County of Dade
[Hook]
[Outro]
Take it to da house
Take it to da house
Take it to da house
Take it to da ("Get down!")
Take it to da house
Take it to da house
Take it to da house
Take it to da house - take it to da ("Get down!")
Take it to da house
Take it to da house
Take it to da house
Take it to da ("Get down!")
Take it to da house

And I'm sure our parents where teens in the 70s had the same sentiment when they heard the sample of "Boogie Shoes" by KC Sunshine & the Band.
No feeling like the feeling of this Era. I miss it
@@mattiekim You are exactly correct I remember riding in my dad's truck with my girlfriend when this song was playing. I guess it was the early 2 thousands and he started talking about this song from back in the seventies.😂🤣😂

Trick Daddy magically blends explicit music to make it kid friendly. Most of his videos features kids.
Trick luv da kids lol
This is because most of the kids you see are HIS! I Think he has like 23 kids! He started rapping to make $ to take care of them. He wanted people to know that he was not ashamed of his kids, and he wanted them to be able to listen to the majority of his music. Of course there are some explicit lyrics on some songs, but he kept it pretty PG for the most part.
He is a perfect example of a black man doing what needed to be done LEGALLY to take care of his babies. He wanted to avoid his kids falling into the system and just becoming statistics. He was a straight up male whore, IMO, but he had my respect.
Top pedo
*When this use to come on suddenly every family member had a hardcore aggression to dance. Good times good times* 😭

😂😂😂 this comment made my day. See thing is I grew up in the inner city. Our house burnt down. My dad moved us to Mayberry. Talk about a culture shock. Anyway I was Trina in my neighborhood. 😂✌🏼
IM HERE IN 2024 FOR THE BADDEST " TRINA".. SO SHUT UP!!!....🔥
What's really cool is the fact that this Miami High School, Miami Northwestern Sr. High is Trina's Alma Mater. She graduated from there with my younger sister. The fact that she graduated from there and them showcasing it in their video while using the school's gym and legendary band and everything else was AWESOME!!! How many other rappers you see out there reach back and show "Homage" to where they came from??? They filled that gym with little effort because the people LOVE Trick and Trina and supported what they were doing. Mind you, these folks didn't get paid to be in this video. This speaks VOLUMES about the love all of us fellow "BULLS" have for each other. RESPECT!!!
Respect.
This def takes me back to middle school..We used this as our "entrance song" while we ran out on the court for school basketball games. Got me hype for the game tho!!
This was, is and will always be one of my favorite jams!! Love the horns with the "Boogie Shoes" sample!
Both the original by KC & the Sunshine Band and the cover by the Kid Stuff Repertory Company used the same pattern.
Right! And Im not even from MIA!...Houston native here
Thanks to my mother and father I grew up listening to this kind of music now I'm 27 years old yes lord I know about this song
This song should be in GTA 6😂
I'm here because I played KC and the Sunshine Band for a friend and they're like, "That's Trick Daddy." 😁

Man, these jitts today don't realize how crunk it was growing up in the early 2000's. I'm disappointed for many of them. These were the days! I'm shocked I see that this was uploaded in Jan of this year, lol.
it was even better being in your 20s
still gets me all hyped up!!! LOVE IT!!!
I was so happy to see this video on MTV when I was in college. Everyone who spat bars on this joint killed it! I'm glad to see my fellow Floridians succeed!

I am 40 years old
The Bud Lite "Boogie shoes" commerial using the orginal sample from Kc and the sunshine band totally reminded me of this song.
I was 20yrs old when this song came out and the cornrows Trina was rocking was so popular back in the day! I was press to wear mines too! J-LO, LIL MOE, BEYONCE all the female stars was rocking this style back then. Life was so much fun and most people enjoyed each other !
Trick daddy has lupus I wish y’all weren’t so judgmental but sensitive when it’s you 🙄

I just told my coworker to "take it to the house" and remembered this song. Omg the nostalgia 😵
Heard this beat at the end of the Super Bowl and had to pull out this classic
Trina in this video is 🔥!!
Always get the feels back when I hear this and music from this time. The mumble, mush-mouth rap/hip-hop doesn't do a damn thing for me and def doesn't get my body bumping. So much energy and good vibes back then!! Love me some Trick and Trina!! Timeless!!
Take it to the house!!!!
I remember this. Trina used to be so bad.❤️

Growing up in Miami. These were the days😂
This has more bars than what one thinks, it’s overlooked by its catchiness. Listen again… 🥰

I’ve been killing this song lately! I still live in this era in my head IDC IDC IDC 🤸🏽♀️💖
Im most definitely playing this at my wedding reception in a Soul Tain line...... you're all invited lol
Trina* da badazz...🧡..riverside do da slip n slide...
It's so cool how back in the 90s, rappers in one song, would hop right in front of the camera to say their verse and it always seem like they would rub their energy off from one another. The 90s was fun!
I lived in Miami when this song came out. Damn Miami Southridge was wild when this came on.
3:26 man I used to watch BET waiting for this part of the video
Same! 😆😆
Yes sir good old times.... the best of the best the 90 early 2000's
12yrs old! I knew every lyric to the songs, at the skating rank turning up at the after party, when drama was less and parents didn't have to be scared to leave their childen for 10min! Electronics was not even a thing back then, played outside all day long, house phones with no cell phones like that! Everybody had a damn mongoose bike or beach crusier! Kids were kids, and family was still family! This new age is tainted and lost all vaules, morals, and love! Take me back! I'm 32yrs old now and I would give anything to travel back to the 90s and early 2000s
When I'm depressed. I pop this song on,.and like magic depression gone. Lol thanks trick daddy
Damnnn this song takes me back. Trina was something else man. Shes definitely top 5 female rappers of all time
Yes Miami 👍 amen 🎉
Classic rap song and video from Trick Daddy and Trina and the Slip-N-Slide Records Family from out there in Miami, Florida in the Down Southeast East Coast USA everyone from the year 1998 or 1999 everyone. For real. Yes. Believe it. Yes.
Anyone else's sports team say "TAKE IT 2 DA HOUZ!" at the end of huddles, halftimes and quarters? When you were like 11 years old LMAO? 😂🤣👏
