2022 GHSA Bass Fishing STATE Championship (Top Ten Finish on Clarks Hill)

2022 GHSA bass fishing state championship fished on May 14, 2022. The big bites were had to come by this tournament. We had a 2 hour fog delay which took away our best fishing time, which would be the early herring spawn. First thing, we hit some textbook herring spawn places and caught some little ones but as the sun came out from behind the clouds, we moved offshore to our afternoon patterns. We hit offshore humps from 15-20 ft. of water and used livescope to find the concentrations of fish. We caught most of our fish dropshotting, but did catch some on a fluke and a jig. The weights overall were close, surprisingly, 20/106 teams zeroed. I'm thankful for the support of our families, friends, school, and sponsors. We wouldn't be able to fish at this level without them.
