It seems like it performs well for how little water it uses. My biggest concern is the drain line carry. 1.6 and 1.28 ones have better pipe carrying because of more water.
Yeah, 1 gallon may clear the toilet but it is not enough to function properly.
It seems like the short flush ruins everything in this toilet. Performance overall on this toilet would be greatly increased by it using 1.28 gpf or 1.6 gpf.
For 1 gallon it's not too bad, but I'd be worried about drain line carry flushing solid waste. Could cause clogs down the sewer line.
It’s honestly better than the vast majority of the toilets you’ve tested if you just force it to use more water. How many can actually take the towel and bag together regardless of water usage? Most would just overflow.
That bowl rinse and performance is surprisingly good, given that it's a flat gallon toilet. But yeah, it needs a little more water to be great...
Awesome toilet!
I was surprised to see how good it was compared to the other GBs
Flushes like an Ingenium.
I like their flushes but on one gallon, they're too short.
@@jamalcitty2Dunno if you’re confused with another model or not, but I can guarantee you that it does except the Ingenium swirls anticlockwise.
Flush rating is an F
performance rating is a B+
That's what I raised the water level when I restored it. 1 gallon is not enough to clear this bowl.
Wait, isn't this the one that VFT Plumbing & Fixtures recorded that was partially clogged? Or a different model?
No toilet should be less than 2 gallons, low water usage just causes problems, i have my Elliston on around 2 Gallons with the normal flapper and it’s flawless
These new ultra high efficiency aka high maintenance toilets need to be discontinued once and for all
We used to have a glacier bay that flushes exactly like that but then we got rid of our bathroom and built a new bathroom and got a Tuscany dual flush😩
I would adjust the flapper to 10 or cover the hole on the bottom of it with tape and raise the water line
@@OCC_Plumbing_and_Restorations the flapper has a small hole on the bottom of it, and that’s how it fills up with water and shuts really early, if you put duct tape over it, the flapper shuts when the water level gets really low in the tank
@@cooperschwartz318 You can also turn them to block the hole, they're adjustable
When you stood far away in front of the toilet in the beginning of the video, the trapway looked so flat. Lol.
These are weird looking toilets, i actually just got another one.
This toilet is definitely worth restoring while changing out the flush valve & raising the waterline a tad. Then it will be an excellent performer. It seems that any toilet designed to flush on 1 gpf or less is an utter failure.
@@OCC_Plumbing_and_Restorations I know this might be a dumb question, but did the flush performance improve greatly after you did that?

Once your generation learns to tell particular govt agencies to STFU and stop passing ridiculous guidelines and laws (which is all they know how to do, sans expertise most of the time), then you will gain control over your environment and where and what you spend your $$$ on.
Congratulations for actually having bowl rinse, Glacier Bay.
Exactly, these are alright.
