RE: Johan Norberg's "You can't bring in your Airforce and claim it's not you" During the "Winter War" 1939-40 the Soviet Foreign Minister, Vyacheslav Molotov, claimed the Soviet Union was not dropping bombs on Finland, but merely airlifting food to starving Finns. The Finns were not starving, and they ironically dubbed the Russian RRAB-3 cluster bomb as"Molotov's bread basket"

Well, Sweden sent a third of its air force to Finland during the Winter War and claimed it was not them.

Very interesting lecture. WWII general mobilization has had a profound impact at the paradigm level. The ability to mobilize what is non-traditionally connected to the military as part of a global strategic doctrine. Very gentlemanly presentation and a very substantial one. How much is the result of a feedback loop?

Mike Cimerian The deep OSINT done by the Swedes is pretty top notch, they have much better truth to power. You only have to look at the estimates the US releases where they can draw on vast secret sources where releasing the output of the source won't compromise said source to see what 100 odd analysts can do when they aren't under pressure to create a threat to meet acquisition requirements for particular defence programs.

RE: Johan Norberg's "The opportunity to train" Exercise Zapad-2017 is coming 14-20 September 2017; joint strategic exercise of the national defense forces of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus. Finland has prepared hundreds of miles of tunnels underneath Helsinki, nine million cubic metres of passageways will fit all 600,000 residents of the capital should Zapad-2017 be ruse for invasion

The advanced planning RE the civilian populace co-option is fascinating.
The threat multiplies are perhaps the key here, climate change, food security etc. and in the context of competing Sates, very asymmetric.

Embarrassing for Russia when Sweden is discussing joining NATO - you gotta really fuck up to get the Europeans so riled up.

    • @cianakril

You just get to be shorter on bribes than US.
Sweden didn't experienced a bit of Russia since 1712. That's over 300 years.
Not even Soviet Union bothered this place.
Sweden is totally random country for Russia. With this token you can talk about Russian invasion of Bolivia or Mongolian invasion of Botswana.
Their fear of Russia is irrational and promoted by US fearmongers who use russophobia for strengthening their grip over Europe: they bribe some politician and sponsor media outlet, they talk 24/7 how Russia will invade them with no reasons just because it's Russia, then they take over Swedish institutions "to protect them" from imaginary invader.
All the same time the "invader" wouldn't even notice Sweden existence unless they give up to US pressure.

Martin Andersson eh, if there is Olga and Mike, you know the third one will be an idiot. Cia builds their spokespersons carefully and controlably. Just look what they made of CNN or msnbc.

It might be true, but I'm sick and tired of western moron propagating myths like sun is black and birds live under ground. In this case, parroting price of new generation Armata system without even knowing how much it cost.

    • @phon1x1
      @phon1x1 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Are you serious? Why do you think that nobody knows how much it costs? Of course that it seems that those costs are classified, but it`s not very hard to find this information after brief analysis of on-line sources, especially if you are fluent in Russian.

    • @REgamesplayer
      @REgamesplayer 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Cost of most vehicles are well known. These costs most often are given through export deals of whole package costs. That includes spare part, training, maintenance and little profit too. Russian equipment was always a lot cheaper, because its operates differently than capitalist market in a way that a lot of its infrastructure is free, it has massive free sunk costs inherented from Soviet times. Also as developing economies tend to develop everything a lot cheaper due to wonderful thing called GDP and PPP difference. It is also a part why Russian equipment is so much cheaper, it is because R&D industry there is actually healthy and not rotten and corrupt as it is in USA. Furthermore, Russian model is far more efficient and healthy than ours. Instead of typical western "spending sprees" when we suddenly decide that new circumstances require new capabilities, better and more of those capabilities. Russian always up arming themselves, always keeping their defense industry just a little bit busy doing something, letting money to flow into all the time rather than in big bursts which, if you are familiar with economy and business, will agree that it is by far better way of making business. Combined with the fact that in Russia, government is often there to bail you out and to cover the risks by itself which is immense boost for entire industry as a whole.
T-14 Armata cost was given from a get go. Up to 8 million USD dollars per tank. THAT alone is cheap. Compared to western tanks, it is completely on par with everything else we produce. Thus, even tanking this number is gross intellectual dishonesty. Saying this tank is "expensive" is showing how utterly clueless you are even in base facts. Though, lack of competence in western infrastructure and positions of importance was an epidemic for quite a long time. We westerners simply do not have competent people anymore, signaling the final steps of our collapse.
That cost, if you dig deeper was only for those few prototypes. When this tank will enter mass production and its parts will not be individually made in very small numbers, but actually mass produced, its costs will drop down dramatically. 3.7 million USD dollars dramatically which is dirty cheap for the next generation vehicle such as MBT. This only proves that anyone who tells that this tank is expensive is really intellectually inherently lazy person and just parrots whatever was told to him. Like this first speaker who presented everything. A lot of cocky attitude, a lot of pretension at being better, superior while only managing to get the barest basic essentials for an intellectual.

    • @phon1x1
      @phon1x1 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Agree with almost everything except "R&D industry there is actually healthy and not rotten and corrupt as it is in USA. Furthermore, Russian model is far more efficient and healthy than ours".
I`m living in Ukraine we have very similar problems as Russia have in those areas, because we are using outdated soviet practices and standards. All secret budget spendings are very inefficient and corrupted. Post soviet countries have very outdated practices that provide only illusion of success, but in fact at least half of defense budgets are invested in luxury yachts and property in London.

RONNY REAGAN TOLD IT AS IT IS...
Our enemies may be irrational, even outright insane, driven by nationalism, religion, ethnicity or ideology. They do not fear the United States for its diplomatic skills or the number of automobiles and software programs it produces. They respect only the firepower of our tanks, planes and helicopter gunships." - Ronald Reagan
Ronald Reagan at the time was talking about the Russian controlled soviet union and the soviet union ALSO HAD Nuclear weapons and soviet union was controlled by the same type of personality types as KGB Putin after all Putin is a product of the soviet KGB...
And just like KGB Putin the soviets also did a lot of shouting about using Nuclear weapons and wiping out the west and wiping out Europe from the face of the earth ect ect ect...bla bla bla bla ,,,,,
Yes talking big is typical for Russians they like to intimidate.. It is not the big talkers you need to be afraid off it is the ones that don't talk and just act... Just like the USA when they bombed japan not 1 time but 2 times ...
BIG TALKING RUSSIA'S have never dropped the bomb as they just like to intimidate like all cowards and bullies do..
“Putin bases his policies on Lenin’s principle: probe with bayonets; if you encounter mush, proceed; if you encounter steel, withdraw,” “With Obama, and Angela Merkel the thug that is KGB Putin has encountered mush never hard core steel, and that’s why Putin continues to challenge the west time after time.”
Putin will not use Nuclear weapons !!!
1.if he did then he will be not just nuking EUROPE and the Baltic’s or Ukraine then the blast and fallout will also hit East Ukraine, Crimea , Poland Belorussia and Russia ect..
    2. If he bombed Ukraine Putin will get the orthodox church against him for taking out Pecerska Lavra the center of orthodox faith in the world and the far right orthodox is Putin's power base at home losing the orthodox church will be political suicide for Putin,,
    3. How will it look like if he bombed Russians in Europe millions of Russians live in the EU now and all of the Russian elite children in schools in western Europe, even Putin's own daughter and ex wife live in Holland.. It is not like back in the day of the USSR when almost no Russian was living in Europe, and in the Baltic’s 20% are ethnic Russians in Ukraine, 17,6 % are ethnic Russians.. How can he claim to be defending Russians abroad if he is nuking them ??
4.if he did this then any friends he has in the international community will run for cover and distance themselves from him and RuSSia in every way they can, they will admit openly that Putin is a mad man, that needs to be taken out asap..even his good old buddy in Syria Assad will not return his phone calls and run for cover.
    5. Russia will become a international outcast and pariah state and diplomatic relations with the rest of the world will be over !!..
6.NATO and its allies even most likely even Japan (and probably even China) will respond with an all out attack on Russia and Putin and Moscow will only be left in history books just like the soviet union is now ...
7.Putin like Hitler and Stalin is a very smart calculated psychopath he is not crazy or insane and does not have a political death wish or any other type of death wish for that matter, he pushes as far as he feels he can and then backs down if he feels he gets pushed back, and if he doesn't get pushed back he continues until he does.
Like I have said before ...
“Putin bases his policies on Lenin’s principle: probe with bayonets; if you encounter mush, proceed; if you encounter steel, withdraw, “With Angela Merkel and Obama the KGB thug that is Putin has only encountered mush never any real HARD CORE steel, and that’s why he continues to challenge the world time after time.”
    Russia’s sphere of influence..
Well I say Russia’s sphere of influence argument is a big propaganda clam, Russia has no special rights to tell Ukraine or the Baltics nations what they as a nation can do or not do...,
Russia can not just because it borders those nation tell them what it can or do or not do anymore then Russia can tell Norway or Finland what they can or cannot do because they border Russia..or any other country say China that also borders Russia..
Can Russia tell USA what it can do because it borders Alaska ?
No Russia does not have any special rights over Ukraine or the Baltic nations this is absolutely hogwash sovereign nations are just that sovereign nations after all we are living in 2017 not 1720 .. Mr KGB Putin !!
IF Putin hurts one hair on the head of any NATO nation or the USA then all of NATO will respond
And her is a bombshell....that Putin must also know as Putin is crazy but he is NOT stupid ..
When it comes to firepower USA is unto in some cases upto 19 times the size of Russia ... Just take f. exs.
Aircraft carries USA has 20 Russia has 1 (that's 19 times of firepower)
Fighter aircraft USA has 2207 Russia 769 (that's 2,8 times of firepower)
Fix wing aircraft USA has 13892 Russia has 3842 (that's 3,6 times of firepower)
Helicopters USA 6196 Russia 1120 (that's 5,5 times of firepower)
I can go on and on but I think you get my point !!!
And let's not forget that all the USA weapons are tip top and high tec,. Russia for the most part has old soviet leftovers not so much new stuff some new stuff but not something worth worrying about ..
The truth is Russia is a analog watch in a digital age ...When it comes to the USA ...
    ooo YES AND manpower
NATO has over 2,6 mill more soldiers under arms then Russia has
USA alone has 145,212,012 backup manpower available for military service and they are all professional soldiers ..
Russia only has 69,117,271 backup manpower available for military service For they most-part farm boys doing their national service
USA has today active serving military personnel
1,400,000 The USA are battle hardened professional soldiers ..
Russia has only active military personnel
766,055 Most of them are farm boys doing their national service
AND IF WE PUT NATO INTO this mix we are talking fire power advantage up-too in some cases 26 times of Russia

ABOVE IS CONVENTIONAL WEAPONS now let's take a look at the nuclear weapons !!
Putin lose her as well and he know it !!!
United Kingdom 225 warheads (submarine delivery systems new and up to date systems )
      France 300 warheads
(submarine delivery systems new and up to date systems )
      United States 6,970 warheads
(Mixed delivery systems new and up to date systems )
      Russia 7,300 warheads
(Mixed delivery systems old mostly from the soviet union times NOT up to date systems )
SO THAT GIVES NATO TOTAL of 7485 warheads with up to date delivery systems..
AND THAT PUTS RUSSIA AT A DISADVANTAGE of 195 warheads with substandard old delivery systems..
See link here for confirmation of nukes in the world www.icanw.org/the-facts/nuclear-arsenals/
Nations that are hosting nuclear weapons for other NATO nuclear powers are Belgium, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Turkey...
Nations in NATO nuclear alliances..(will take nukes fire systems on their territory if war broke out )
Albania, Australia, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Czech, Denmark, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain ALL NATO or NATO friendly..
Base on this facts Russia does not stand a chance as most of NATO warheads are on Subs. and NOT in silos like Russia that makes it easy to take out with NATOs defiance systems ...
All NATO must do is take out Moscow and 5 -6 other cities to take out all of Russia.... But Russia must take out city's all over the planet from USA , CANADA ,FRANCE UK. ALL OF EUROPE and as fare away as , AUSTRALIA and so on and so on ...
A good exs. of how bad Russian systems really are is…
The Soviet-made rocket was fired on the town in 30 kilometres to South-West of Aleppo Putins forces attacked the town in Syria with ballistic missile - but missed all of the town "The town of Ma'arat al-Na'asan, 30 km S-W of Aleppo, was attacked (missed) by a Russian SS-21 ballistic missile and the missiles did not hit any part of the town ,
PS. lets not forget the the Submarine KURSK was part of Russia's nuclear weapons platform and it was falling apart to such an degree that its systems torpedo systems on the Sub. malfunctions and blow up under water and sank the sub and .. killed all of its crew ....
Now if that is what Russia's nuclear delivery platform and weapons platform is like all I can say is WTF !!! And let us not forget that Kursk was the pride and joy of Russia's navy... What does the rest of the Russian nuclear weapons program look like if Kursk is anything to go by ?
I mean...... If you can not hold your submarines floating in pace time what hope do you really have for holding your submarines floating in war time ?
      www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_submarine_Kursk_%28K-141%29
Kursk was an Oscar-class submarine, twice the length of a 747 jumbo jet, and one of the largest submarines in the Russian Navy.
An official investigation after most of the wreck was raised along with analysis of pieces of debris concluded that a faulty weld in the casing of the practice torpedo caused high-test peroxide (HTP) to leak, which caused the kerosene fuel to explode. The initial explosion destroyed the torpedo room, severely damaged the control room, incapacitated or killed the control room crew, and caused the submarine to sink with all of its nuks not much of a nuclear weapons platform now was it hahaha
A look at the link for the total number of nuclear warheads worldwide, the number of deployed warheads, and the countries that possess reactors, warheads, uranium mining or other atomic facilities.

Russia is a terrorist state that regrettably has a veto vote and seat in the UN ...
As the historians say RuSSia was, lucky enough to inherit the vote... But what really happened was that Russia stole and manipulated it’s way into getting the position and did this in it’s typical Russian Machiavellian Kremlin way of doing things...
That is how the position that the Soviet Union had before them in the UN ended up inside Moscow’s pocket .. And just like they have stolen most things that is now Russian and then after that claim it to be always Russian, so now is the veto vote in the UN now Russian..
This bad move of letting RuSSian inherit that position of the soviet Union in the UN and giving RuSSia the veto rights in the UN has in-fact ONLY made the UN impotent, inadequate and weak and nothing more than that... This has resulted in doing nothing good for the worlds stability... !
By giving the terrorist state Russia a say so in the UN forum, it has only gave a way for evil to extend itself into something good and make something good into a farce ...
The only thing that has come out if that blunder of giving away the veto right to Russia is that now RuSSia gets a carte blanche to stop/ block any reaction by the worlds community in combating evil that Moscow wishes to make sure prevails .... (in other words Russian evil gets to flow freely in our world )
And therefor the Russian people beloved, terrorist state known as Russia , can continue to pollute the world and our environment with its presence / existence and with its evil deeds...

😆 yeah ok chump thats why the little ladies in washington have underground bunkers and fallout shelters built nationwide, don't threaten russia with a good time now,I think we see these 40 mile long comments by russophobes like you because in reality you fear the russian Federation, your attempt in your comments to try and convince everyone that you are invulnerable really dumbs down your stupidity, the russian Federation maintains the largest functioning stockpile of nuclear warheads in the world,no brag just fact, your comments are extremely invalid there captain america, the russian bear is also in your backyard now,so much for being a paper tiger huh?But thats not the point, you best believe chump that mother russia has a contingency plan in place to deal with what your spewing out here,i also noticed you forgot to mention about Russia's dead hand switch wich is still operational to this day,i also noticed you forgot to mention that russian nuclear bombers fly off your California coastlines from time to time, but you see you don't want to hear that because it threatens your reality, also many times russian nuclear submarines reached your California coastlines undetected right near your little military bases, point is that nobody in this world is safe from the DANGER mother russia represents, nor are your little butthurt losers in NATO safe, get some new material jerk.

And That My Friend Is Why Putin Is Appointed By The CIA You Can't Have A Tangible Purpose Without An Enemy To Compete With And Sadly Russia Had To Step Up And Invade It's Neighbor Now It's Still There Battling It Out And To Some Extent Safely Not To Have NATO Altercation
Even after Negotiations The Settlement Will Be Disadvantagous To both Sides Mainly To Russia And The Neighbor Won't Even Join NATO They Will Just Be A An Advisory Role as per " The Stipulations* And Round 2 Will Commence Again To Whatever Reasons If It All Goes According To Plan
So What Will Happen To The Public Space In Europe And Mostly Aligned State The Populace Will Just Downplay Russia's Capabilities And Thus Will Lose Purpose And Thus More Care About Their Countries And May Settle Grudges But Since The Populace Is Not Ignorant They Won't Things Like War Or something I Think But Anyhow In The Next Year's After The War The News Source Will Reinstall The Capabilities Of Military Of Russia Again From Ground Zero Things Like " Advanced Drone Warfare , Uhhh New Super Duper Advanced Machines, uhh Realtion Between China And Russia Good Hence Bad For The World and So forth " and to some extent "spy is captured, Your Civilian Woes Are Made By The Enemy Nation, The Nearest Waterhole Has Been Spiked Analyst Say It's Caused By Blah Blah "
Till Then Some Insurgency Sideshows Will Happen To Distract From The Enemy Till They Build up Something Like War On Terror 2.0 Or Maybe Shillings Like Like "Little Enemy Nation Builds New Type Of Missiles And Why Should Be Concerned"
Or Maybe Island Nation Gets Invaded And The Beacon Of Democracy On Asia Dims Or Just *The* Current Thing Part 2 But Since Chin Doesn't Need To Become A Pushover Since The Northern One Is Currently Failing So Island Nation Gets Defeated
And Finally The Day Of Reckoning Happens Maybe The Current [Redacted] Appointed Leader Steps And Le Wholesome DemocratIc Leader Arrives Or Just The Major Two Axis Countries Get Defeated And Become The Le Wholesome But Sadly Ego Will Be The New Enemy ?
