this palette is actually really gorgeous.. I didn't care for it too much in the promotional pictures but your swatches and the looks you created have put it on my radar.. Albeit out of my price range its still beautiful.. and that pink look was surprisingly stunning.. I also stay clear of pinks on my eyes as I've the same colouring as you, but this worked really beautifully!!! Also love the hair!!!!!

Okay, here I am 3 years after this release and review, I just right now bought this palette from poshmark for $20 (plus shipping) and I'm so excited! I'm not usually a warm tones kinda gal, I wear cool tones the best but this palette has me intrigued, your eye looks are so beautiful and I feel like I'm gonna enjoy it a lot. Gorgeous looks!!
I always agree with you on things you review and I have tried myself, which is why I trust you, as a youtuber, the most. Namely, the Nars new formula here, which I feel started with the Loaded palette.
This really is my favorite series. Even though this palette is a hard no for me I still watch the review because I learn about formulas, techniques and eye looks. Love your hair, love the review, love your channel. TFS.
I actually like it when it's down. Her hair looked so good during the recent Beauty News episode. I could tell she just cut it. But She does have a great face for her hair being pulled up.
I've been thinking about this palette since you first posted this and I finally gave in the other day and bought it. I'm so glad I did, the quality is wonderful and I love the orange tones. It does remind me a bit of the Nubian palette without the magenta shade and with less chunky shimmers. Thanks for the thorough review, I'm going to try to follow along with a few of your looks this week!
This is really pretty -- i am in the over-30's age bracket and I also love this kind of colours for everyday. The colour story actually reminds me of the Too Faced Gingerbread palette, which I use a lot of in the Autumn (it's spring here in Europe). I'm a big fan of cut-creases looks but I'm working on simplifying my makeup process especially for work so that helps a lot

I thought I hated pink eyeshadow, but then I got that one Nabla palette with a pink in it (secret or poison garden, forgot which one). I've been playing with that shimmery pink and I kinda really like it! It's a similar tone to this Nars one. I like it on the outer lid with a pale yellow gold for a sunset type look. Or mixed with darker browns, the pink as a pop in the inner part of the lower lash line. It was surprisingly flattering.

I really like your reviews, they are THE best. I only have one Nars palette, the most basic b*tch palette (Summer Lights) with 4 neutrals, a bronzer and a highlight and I really love it. I like how sheer, satin and pretty it is. As you said, it’s office appropriate and gives you a sort of sophisticated look. I realised that I prefer these to the very pigmented shadows that everyone seems to love on TH-cam (such as ABH - hate the formula myself and I decluttered my only palette from them). I am tempted to get this but I’m on a low buy and I’m sure it will be discounted at some point this year, so I might just wait. Also, I have a few palettes that I got before my low buy that I only used a couple of times so I want to focus on those for the time being.
dobcsek I have that basic B palette too and it makes me feel like bronzey gorgeousness! I’m loving my Summer Lights and Hot Nights palettes so much that they make me want to get rid of my many colorful palettes. 😳
Emily Sales I’m thinking of getting rid of the colours too. I haven’t bought one for 6+ months but when I think of how much money I used to pay for them....Ouch....I should really declutter some, but I just can’t right now. Perhaps my taste will change, but honestly I don’t think so (I’m 39, so I guess my wild colour days are behind me).
I’m 46 and I think I’m getting over color too. The only color palette that still blows my socks off is the Persona Pink palette. Those pinks on my brown eyes are beautiful. I think I’m going thru something similar with highlighters. Lately my beaming highlighters like Champagne Pop and several Ofra ones are turning me off. 🤷🏻♀️Wait, I forgot my olive green shadows. I still love those too. Lol
I am so so tempted by this oh my godddd. I currently only own 2 palettes but I am starting to wear makeup a lot more for work so maybe a new palette might not be a bad purchase......

Oh WOW I love the haircut! It's so flattering on you! OK - when you said you would have picked up Overlust but for the cream highlights I was like 😕 "Huh????" I had to go and get mine and check, lol. The highlighters are apparently a "gel-to-powder" formula (just went and looked it up) that I totally did NOT realize weren't powders. I just swatched them again and I think they don't behave like creams at all. Did you see the palette in store and get to swatch them? If not, you might give it a try - it's GORGEOUS!!

I wanted it, the colours are sooo lovely for every day but I was worried it would be too bling for everyday and too similar to the Xmas palette ( the purple stars one I forget it’s name) but this is what I needed to convince me my gut was right and I should add this to my collection 😜 I don’t buy many palettes really, only ones I will definitely use but I do love nars, so worth the money imo so Basically? I just recently started using Nars products, I got a brand dedicated box from Lookfantastic and there was a eyeshadow quad in there. At first I didn’t think it would be much but I love it! Such great quality so I definitely want to pick up some more shadows from them
The color story of this palette is just soooo pretty. Very rusty/copper/rose-gold & then * clang * 🎵one of these things is not the other🎶 you see that fuscia pink which is odd man out. I mean, it's a gorgeous color-it's just completely incongruous with the rest of the palette. Could they not have thrown a little more orange in that color or added another cool pink to the palette?

I don't understand why people are rude enough to criticize others for the tools they use or how they do their makeup. Everyone is different. Especially with makeup, you need to do what you think looks best on you for your face and eye shape. And like mascara's tools are very personal to each person. Not saying I don't like certain trends or people doing Instagram type makeup that only works on camera, but I don't point it out to people. That's just rude. It's makeup and I see makeup as art (that's the artist in me I guess). Makeup washes off where paints (especially the kind of medium) are much more difficult to "wash" and redo. lol Bu the way, that brush looked like it worked really well for you! I have one like that and I might try that with a shimmer. I personally switch up brushes and often utilize my favorite sponge applicators (the ones from the Sleek eye shadow palettes are awesome). This palette is pretty, but that pink throws me off. I'm kind of glad Nars isn't cruelty free. Saves me money lol. The orange look is very pumpkin like. Looks terrific on you! I do like what you did with the pink. Also I love your hair cut. I loved your hair in the BN episode and was like "She cut her hair!" Looks beautiful!

I wonder if/when China will ever stop requiring animal testing when there are so many other options and such a wealth of knowledge around already.
