  • Genoa, Italy
Genoa was founded over 2,500 years ago.
The port city is the capital of the Liguria region in northern Italy, close to the borders with France and Switzerland, and rivals Marseille for the title of the most important port in the Mediterranean.
It is known for its central role in maritime trade for centuries.
In the old town is the Romanesque Basilica of San Lorenzo, with its black and white striped façade and frescoed interior.
Narrow streets open onto monumental squares such as Piazza de Ferrari, home to an iconic bronze fountain and the Teatro Carlo Felice opera house.
The waters of Genoa's beaches are turquoise and crystal clear.
The Italian cuisine is splendid and delicious.
The people are friendly and welcoming.

@@arteejardim a temperatura da água do mar em Gênova no verão chega a 28 graus, bem mais quente que na Alemanha. Por isso a maioria das pessoas querem ir p Itália de férias.
