Cus Damato was a former military guy but before Tyson he already produced a world champ in Floyd Patterson, he had a niche style in his training .
A great coach with a passion and dream to produce a world champ the youngest world champ, he did it twice first with Floyd and then with Tyson.
As a coach he may have also had imposter syndrome as he was trying to prove himself and his champion was taken from him (Floyd Patterson) so he was set on producing Tyson with the same goals and repeat his past achievements through his student .
The coaches motivation is sometimes the thing that can carry/drive the students through their journey, also in-still confidence in their students by providing a belief.
Tyson being a great example.
Amir is so funny and don’t think he realises it 😆
