After many years these stories are finally making a lot more sense. Everything is connecting even more than ever have been. Childhood has always been sweet but the meaning on these stories are very profound and truthful.
I kind of wish we could've seen it more like the manga. Since Meiling didn't exist, it was Yamazaki who played the witch and he stunned everyone with his acting skills. 🤣
When I was little and was watching this, I was amazed on how spot on Meiling was on acting, looking back on it now, I feel like Meiling's acting is a bit cringe, but her intro was still amazing :)
This school play the Cardcaptor Sakura version of the Disney film, sleeping beauty. The girls are based on the three good fairies, flora and Merryweather and the villain is based on maleficent.
They are allowed to marry their cousins in Japan (I know they’re Chinese but this show is based in Japan) a long time ago. Now they still are but there are less of that than they did before. Hope that helped :)

What will it be like if instead of the clow card interrupting the play, Hades turns up to crash the play, twisting the story? He convinces Li to become a member of Captain Hook's pirate crew by signing a contract. After Li reluctantly signs it, he is taken away by Hades to the Jolly Roger, Captain Hok's pirate ship. Meanwhile, Sakura was knocked out by Cecco and Foggerty and thrown into a portal to Halloween Town from "The Nightmare Before Christmas" while the other pirates kidnapped Sakura's friends and taken to the ship.
Just want to say that the producing of this play is terrible. At 7:25, no sane producer would have let her hold the sword in her right hand, dominant or no. Always keep your torso pivoted toward the audience, even if it makes no sense. A good actor can work around it. I know it's not really important, but it bugged me so I decided to mention it. Stage acting is weird. But it makes sense in a strange, twisted manner.
Maybe Anime Logic and besides Its An Anime, what do you expect? Its not a real life obviously but sometimes they do make mistakes too. But I do clearly understand your point.

If you watch the episode before (episode 41), it’s decided by amidakuji so that all students get the fair chance of their role. It’s just Sakura happens to get the prince role and Syaoran the princess, even Kero is shocked. Later Sakura gets the princess role and Syaoran the prince in Movie 2 the Sealed Card.
