    Travel cath lab techs make good money. I've seen travel contracts for travel cath lab techs $4000 a week.

      Radiologic Technologist & Radiologist are 2 different things.
      One takes the images & the other interprets them.

    Not on call always. I take call once a week and 1 weekend every 3-4 weeks.

      At the hospital I work at we only have 1 Cath Lab Team so they are always on-call. Glad you get some time off in between thanks for the insight we appreciate you 🙏🏽

    I've never heard of Cath Lab School or getting help from the school to enter the Cath Lab field. I have been told you must be with a company willing to cross-train you in order to meet the requirements to sit for boards?

      No that’s not correct there’s schools that only teach Cath Lab but you definitely could also Cross-train.

      There are Cath Lab specific programs that dont require you to be an RT others that do. But youre definitely more marketable if you are an RT first. Yes you would need to be lucky enough to get cross trained. Id suggest getting into a surgical center that does some interventional work and use that as a stepping stone to get into a hospital cath lab, it is what I did. Haven't shot an xray since i finished school, was very lucky to be offered an interventional job right after school.

      Invasive Cardiovascular Technology Program will take you straight into the Cath Lab.

      Ok so yes absolutely you can learn it! I would say it takes a good 2-3 months to learn Cath it’s alot but it’s doable!

      It all depends where you work if you work outpatient center you usually work Monday- Friday & off SAT/SUN.
      If you work at a hospital you work 3 (12) hour shifts & your off 4 days.

      Ok so unfortunately NO
      Your traditional state/community college route is:
      2 years of Prerequisites
      &
      2 years for the Radiology Program
      Total= 4 years
      Private College can take 2 years because they do everything together but it’s way way more expensive like $50-70K ‼️👀

      Once you adjust it’s a good money making career.
