Wonderful system of storage!!! I use something similar but they are not stored in clear pockets. I love that you are able to see them immediately! Thank you so much for sharing your system! Be especially blessed!!! ❤
I’m late starting to watch as I’ve been looking after my daughter and disabled granddaughter who had Covid, but catching up now. I love the idea of using empty dvd cases and cd wallets. Absolutely brilliant idea. X
What a great idea of organizing using DVD cases and CD wallets. I have to be on the lookout for some of them. Also how you store by colors helps a lot also. Great idea of storing by the different types of ephemera , then when you are wanting to create a journal, they are right there to grab and tuck in.
I also use boxes for sorting and organizing. You can almost always find a box in the size you need, whereas plastic tubs are a little more difficult to find in the needed size.
You are SO organized! Love your dvd boxes and that you even sort within. 😂 I might sort by category, but I’m unlikely to micro sort within the case. I’m impressed! 👍💙💙💙 TFS. I keep unfinished projects in clear pouches too. I need clear containers so I can see.
I love items that are sorted as well as yours are, as a matter of fact, one of my favourite things to do on a lazy afternoon is to sit and sort items, lol...🤭 I find it very soothing. I love how yours are all in clear containers...brilliant! I think I will have to have a looksy for some clear containers around my house. Great job with the video, it flowed nicely.💝
What an awesome way to keep scrap paper. I like the envelope system and that they are clear. Going to do this. Then the envelopes organized can go in a box.Tyfs.
Loving Your Ephemera and Paper Scraps Organizational. Still in the process of setting up my new craft room space. First time visiting your channel and subscribed. 🤩🤩🤩
Hi Lynda, your idea of using empty Stampin Up cases was a game changer for me. You may remember a couple of years ago, I had reorganised my stamp sets into Avery Clear plastic wallets to save space. I almost got rid of the cases until you told me how you used them. I now store all my ephemera, charms, gems, organza bags, handmade cards etc. in them. They stack beautifully as well & everything is easy to find. I use the clear A5 & A4 boxes for all sorts of stuff & they’re really handy
Such a lovely way of organizing - thank you for sharing! Having a see-through/clear storage system definitely does not make you to have to remember which box a certain item is in… you’ll see it right away.
@@LyndaVerrill - so true. The filming, forgetting stuff and reaching is one of the many reasons I fail to publish some videos I’ve made. Organizing will definitely help.
We store in almost the same way, I also have the clear A5 envelopes and little plastic boxes. Larger plastic boxes for laces and trims. I just don't sort in color, maybe that is something that I could do. Thanks for this video 🤩
Thanks Yvon, great minds think alike! My birds are sorted by size but I spent ages hunting for a yellow one yesterday so I think they're going to have to be colour too. ❤
I really enjoyed your learning about your ephemera storage system. I, too, use plastic envelopes, but I've only found them in the A4 size. I use mine for my printed digitals, but I do like how you have many more uses for them. I've learned a lot from you. I'm going to check out your other videos. Hugs from Ireland.
Wow! You have an amazing system. I love that everything is see through. I had to chuckle when you talked about pretty boxes. My daughters bring me some all the time. They say I hoard but they contribute lol. Is it hoarding if it's just one room? Ok maybe 1 1/2 roomslol.
I enjoyed seeing your organization method, I wish I lived in UK those little boxes are just the size I could use for some of my small ephemera (and tracy stamps too). TYFS.
Great ideas Lynda!! Several years ago I donated a container with a bunch of clear 4x6 containers inside (I think they were for photos) that I could have used for this. Grrrr!! I really like this system, but I can't bring myself to buy another one LOL.
I feel your pain Denise, I've lost count of the items I have given away only to realise a week or so later I could have used them. I saw one of those photo containers the other day and thought how useful they could be. ❤
Thank you for this as it was very helpful to see your organization of ephemera. I'm working on getting my ephemera, blanks, and fully finished pieces organized. I feel like they are every at the moment and want them all like with like items. I bought some crates like you show here and I will give it a try! Thank you, thank you! Newly subscribed! ~Gena
Great ideas! My daughters ask me if I want boxes, etc...and I have friends that offer boxes, clothing tags, etc....It's wonderful! I like the idea of sorting by color and theme. Thank you.
Wow thanks for sharing your stash and organization ideas ! And very well organized for your ephermera indeed!! I’m new to this craft so, I’m collecting and everything is in a pile and starting to get out of control.
I love the system for organizing. I’m definitely going yo-yo try it. Am also very impressed with the glass doored cabinets with pretty boxes. You’ve given so many ideas.
It really does look like a great system. I definitely like being able to see into the containers, too. I also like that it is portable, housed in the sections of your trolley. I would like to see it some time!. (Sorry, I didn't catch the brand name.) I think that I need some portable components, as well. Glad you are part of this wonderful collab and thank you for sharing!
Thanks, Angela. The trolley is the Raskog from IKEA. Other companies have them but check the sizes, some are really small. I hope to do a craft room and trolley tour once the great reorganisation is done. ❤
Thank you for some very useful tips. I am just getting into Junk Journalling and it is great to have practical ways to sort my things as I gather them!!!
Thanks for sharing. Happy crafting on a budget 💲. Happy everything on a budget💲. See👁 you in the next 🎥 and on the flipside. 👼🌹
