I own Camry Hybrid 2017 variant. Amazing luxury car with superb reliability. Also, Indian variant is much much much more luxurious than American variant.
BTW, sunblind also opens in my variant, just like new one. I'm at 110000, no issues whatsoever. My friends with Audi A6 and E-class have already sold their cars due to super high maintenance.

50 lakh for camry 😲 camry is a taxi car in Dubai, they are very cheap. But no doubt it's a very reliable & needs no maintenance. I have seen camry with 6 lakh km mileage & still running fine

VW, Skoda, seat, citroen etc are taxi cars in Italy, mercedes, BMW, Audis are taxi cars in Germany. There was one Tesla taxi in Firenze, Tuscany, Italy when I was staying there for two years. All cars in some country or the other are taxies.

A brand new camry hybrid costs about 24 lakh in Dubai, in India it is selling for 51 lakhs camry is a common man daily use house car/taxi is sold as a luxury car in India 😀

Brilliant sedan. But taxes and import duty has doubled the price..its actual price is around 25 lacs...even altis is a superb car. The company for no fault of theirs has to sell at 51 lacs. At this price unfortunately it is not a value for money car as the company has built this car with cost of 25 lacs for which it is awsome. But buyers buy this car thinking 51 lacs built material which leads to dissapointment which is unfair expectation. But this is indeed a brilliant but not vfm car

I used this car for 12 years in Australia
My 1st camry was 1999 model
2 car was 2008 model
And last car was 2017 model that was hybrid. One of the best car and its always best selling car in world wide on number 2 nd or 3ld position
But in india its too much over priced
When I bought this car in 2017 its cost me 27,000Australian dollars
Todays its top model is around 34,000 Australian dollar which is around 18 lakh.
Manufacturing is not fully localised for this car in India and hence it becomes too pricey. But then again India is not really a manufacturer friendly country.
They are bogged down versions, nowhere as luxury as ones in India. Same goes for E class sold as taxi in Germany which have basic interiors.

Camry is the best selling executive sedan in the USA, it's a very reliable car. But in India we go after the German brands.

@@toofani :Yeah…Yaris was a great car but so understated especially in a segment were people would most likely to prefer features and equipments a bit more than the reliability. Honda City was the toughest competitor of Yaris and offered so much more than it with the brand reliability of Honda. It was very unfortunate to have Yaris meet that sad fate.
With Camry, things are a bit different. It’s placed in a segment where people would trade off with a bit of features and equipments for sheer reliability. Sure, there are options from luxury brands as well in the entry level models but they all are much smaller in size and much less spacious or comfortable. They actually would be paying for the ownership of luxury brand. And this is a personal choice. Some like it while others don’t. That’s why Camry will never meet the same fate as Yaris. It’s large, spacious and comfortable car that a ₹50 lacs car is expected to be. And Toyota brand name is not really that far behind the luxury brand. It, in fact, is a metaphor for unmatched reliability. Plus, the cost of ownership of Camry is FAAAAR less than any of the entry level German brands. What more could one ask for?

I sold my camry few months. It’s a great car I had 2019 camry. It’s amazing to sedan with powerful engine and comfort level. It’s way better than any german performance sedans because it’s reliability of this car is not comparable. It’s way ahead than Audi A4, BMW 3- series or Mercedes C-300.

Camry is used in Singapore for taxi services as it can provide good mileage which is a necessity for a public transport services.

We have a second hand Camry from Toyota show room. It’s 2010 model. Superb car. Go for it. Just be sure to check the car as we usually do when buy second hand cars. U can blindly trust Toyota camry.
Ours 2010 so mileage is less around 12. But if u buy 2nd-hand 2014-2016 hybrid it comes around 12-15lakhs and mileage I’mI get around 17-19.
And yes true low running cost for hybrids and low maintenance cost any day.
Please do some videos on old cars, covering the history of automobile industry in India. Old cars like Padmini, Ambassador, Contessa. I used to like that first version of Mahindra Armada.

Camry performance and reliability is like....buy your son a Camry when he is 18.
When he is 60 yrs and with even 5 lakh kms, Camry will be still performing the same. This is Camry.
Many would go with SUPERB and spend the rest on petrol and maintenance

we have 2012 camry hybrid, gives us 20 km per liter in Australia. Brand new 2022 model is priced at $52,990 or 30 lakh INR

Definitely no nonsense car. And with the sheer reliability of Toyota, nothing could get any better than this car. But it’s priced on the higher side. But every good thing comes at a price. We cannot have our cake and eat it too. To have a no nonsense car from the most reliable brand in the entire auto industry, you’ve gotta pay the price. And I thanks Toyota for not discontinuing premium large sized sedan like most of its competitors in a market that has heavily shifted towards SUVs of all body shapes. My only gripe with Toyota is that they should have considered bringing more of their global products to India that comes in all sizes from every segment instead of partnering with Maruti Suzuki to develop budget cars just to lure buyers from lower segments.
Personally, I started my search with Hyundai Creta back when it was launched but due to extremely poor experience at Hyundai dealership from the rude service adviser who was sanctimonious in his tone, I vowed to never step into Hyundai brand and discourage my friends and relatives from getting a Hyundai car as well (at which I’ve been successful so far). He gave an impression of the company doing some kind of favour to me by selling that car to me given there was such a huge waiting list for that car. Seriously? Good for them. I waited for few more months, did more research, saved more money and finally zeroed in at Camry. Yes, it’s not in the same league as Creta both in the segment wise and price wise, but I had my mind stick to Toyota due to their unmatched reliability and Camry which is their most trusted car worldwide. The fact that Camry is the most popular car used as a taxi speaks of its unmatched reliability. Anybody in a taxi business would place their bet on cars that has less maintenance and less service costs.
