How to Build a Curved Stone Retaining Wall - Hugo Reyes, Erick Lopez

In Valle de Bravo ninety percent of the land is on a slope (keeping in mind that 80% of all statistics are made up on the spot). Consequently, it's extremely common here to create flat swaths of land using retaining walls. In this case the entire future-front-yard of this house construction project was on a pronounced slope making it awkward for most any yard use, including walking. In order to create a flat section of yard we decided to put up a stone and concrete retaining wall and back fill it with dig from the house foundation.
In this video you'll see the details on how this stone retaining wall was constructed from the first shovel full of dirt to the last brush stroke with the wire brush. If you've never built a retaining wall of this style before, the video is sufficiently detailed that you should be able to build your wall after watching it (and pausing it here and there for construction details).
