City amass 198 points in 2 seasons (and lots of other league records).
This whilst there is a big 6 in the premier League and teams like Leicester, Everton, Watford all have very good players (both English and foreign) and good managers. Liverpool won a UCl (after reaching a final) and hit 97 points. Chelsea or Arsenal never managed that.
This is the most difficult PL era and City won back to back. Coasted to the first and fought toe to toe with Liverpool for the second.
When Man Utd dominated until 2003, there was no top 4/6 and the middle of the table was not this strong. Same for Arsenal 04 and Chelsea 05-06. A major reason for that is money.
Only Utd of 07-11 would come close to this team. They had the Fergie factor and a strong squad.
