- With more than 13 million palms, Egypt’s date production amounts to over 1 million tons per year. The industry however has been facing severe problems caused by the invasive red palm weevil, a malicious pest causing tremendous damage to the country's rich palm date heritage. The short film at hand provides knowledge and practical advice to farmers to successfully treat and prevent their palm trees from red palm weevil infestations. This is a joint production of the "HAYAT Human Security in Upper Egypt", "Videos for Farmers", "EMAP" and "GTI" projects.

Lol I don't know how I ended up on this video but i'm enjoying it
what organic materials to put on the roots, trunk to get to the fronds ; to keep them off ?
Should I trim off the old "BOOTS" from the trunk before applying the pesticide into the trunk and nest?
Good method i use this one and get good results
they eat the juice from the new fresh branches on top. . down below at the base will not help. if there is a nest at the top; its too late.
Is this method valid for coconut trees or if you know any treatment for coconuts trees
The farmer has no safety when he was dealing with pesticides and sulfur
I m from India
I think microwave can do u r work
Bcoz microwave can vibrate water molecules & create tempreture. Even thier can be destroyed easily
he cortado la palmera mas grande de las otras la queme y la entere
injecting in to the tree does not help. Pesticides don't work. must be special chemcial on the crown only. unless you use imidclopirid at the roots. But takes awhile to penetrate the tree roots on top.
doe snot help if can't reach 60' or 20 meter hi royal palms . Pesticides don't work. Need organic natural to put on the roots
spray the grounds; roots with imidclopirid;. It will kill the larvae when eggs are laid.
@@ed.t.hansen6499 it’s banned in Europe
Pesticide is not the answer what predator bug did humans kill off?!?!?! Find the predator of the weevil!!!
It’s humans who eat their larva
allot of hype and no help to spray on xxx to keep them off.
Growing Bananas and other plants is the solution!!!!!!
Until the banana weevil arrives... !
NO, fleeing is not the solution ! We must fight
