    Congrats, this is an excellent video that's answered a lot of my questions. I'm just about ready to make a decision about what direction to take and this is the kind of information I need. I was wondering about the difference between this degree and the Bachelor's in Liberal Studies with MIS minor and I think you lay out the differences well. I also like that you express a strong opinion and lay out the reasons for your opinion.

    My only issue with this major is it has almost nothing to do with MIS it's almost all project management. I just started looking at getting this degree or the Bachelor of Liberal Studies -Management Information Systems Minor and that degree actually has a few more MIS type classes. I have been in I.T. for about 25 years and management specifically for the last 10 of those and was originally looking at WGU but I didn't want to power through all the certifications. The one degree however has the dreaded Liberal Studies so I'm kind of conflicted.

    Thanks for doing this video. I decided against the BLS Management Information System minor for this program. I will be starting in July. I have credits to transfer over. I spoke with admissions and students are allowed to transfer courses once enrolled. I have been on Reddit some students claim to be able to use some Google certificates for credit.

    If I were to go this route and graduate with the Informational systems bachelors, could I transfer those credits to grad school at a state university? I want to make sure I have a solid GPA to transfer to FAU. Thanks for all your help! Love your videos!

    I really appreciate the videos you make. I have two questions if you can share please. First, I heard UMPI is planning to come up with the Computer Science degree, how true is that? Second, Can I complete majority of the credits for UMPI Information Systems Degree from Sophia and if so, I request you to make one video with the spreadsheet to transfer credits to UMPI from Sophia for the UMPI Information Systems Degree. Thanks.

    There's also a way to get a BAS with MIS concentration if you transfer in with an associates and lots of tech credits. Do you think that would sound better on a resume or do you think this one is? Trying to make up my mind between the two. Thanks! Your channel has been a lot of help.

    Thank you for this information! I have military credits from my JST on top of having 24-32 college credits already. Should I apply to UMPI first to see how many credits I need to take, then go the ACE websites? After that then transfer my credits from study/straight line after seeing what I need to take.
    Thank you again for what you do!

    • @alexsheppe
      @alexsheppe  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @joenadeau6530 There’s no partnership between UMPI and Sophia so it’s hard to do a spreadsheet for them. But a lot of students have said they do accept Sophia courses.

    Do the umass global for information system for self pace online

      Degree Forum claims UMass Global is slower as more writing and harder exams. However, I don’t know much about UMass Global and their Self-paced degrees look pretty interesting.

    Hey man thanks for all the info, I'm signing up for SDC as we speak. I had a question though, is the US History 1 and 2 / Intro to Meteorology courses required for this degree or are they interchangeable with different history/science subjects? I haven't looked at any alternative courses but if hypothetically there's a history class that has to do with ancient cultures or something of that nature, can I take that instead or would you recommend following this guide exactly?
