I like that you explain very well about the dolls and how you do things as well as take care of them your one of my favorite TH-cam rs that makes good quality videos about bjd not many are like yours I love your unboxing videos
I think the reason the first one was so neat and tidy was because you did the small then the next size up. Which then doesn't dig so much all at once so it's cleaner and smoother
I would try coating the pins on the hair ornaments with a thin layer of hot glue (you can dispense it onto some paper and apply it with your fingers from the puddle after a moment if you're worried about the heat melting the plastic bits). The dried hot glue gives a grippy rubbery texture and is easily removable too.
This is probably the best solution. I was going to suggest a piece of rubber eraser stuck on the ends. It would provide similar grip and minimal damage.
Thanks for making a video on this topic , I tried once and I was so stressed ! I'm moving soon so once I'm reinstalled ,you'll see me around a little more . Once again , great video . Nice to see you ^_^
For reference, I'd recommend using a warm sewing needle to start the hole. Not hot, warm, like the monster high dolls head removal trick. It'll keep the drill bit from slipping out of place and give it a noch to start in.
Hey just watched your video great as always of course. I'm supposed to be getting Sailor Mars in two more weeks and I wanted to know what size drill bit did you use to pierce your Sailor Moon with?
I wish I could give you a specific size - but I just kind of eyeballed it by picking one in of the drill bits that looked smaller than the pencil dot I drew. As someone commented, the reason one hole came out cleaner than the other is because on one sized I used a drill bit that was smaller, and then went back in with the slightly larger one. If I were to do pierce another doll's ears, that's what I would do instead of pick the 'correct' looking size and just drilling once. And congrats on Sailor Mars!
Thank you so very much for this! Sailor Moon is my first ever Dollfie Dream and I am so very nervous about piercing her eyes. And I was wondering, would masking tape work for the tiara and on her legs so the zipper doesn't stain? I feel like it should but thought I should ask someone who actually knows what they are doing.
That won't work against polyester hair, it would just make the pins even thinner and make them slide out even more and risk damage to the hair ornaments. Worst suggestion ever.
Awwww she’s cute - I’m kinda regretting not trying for her xD definitely adds that nice extra pizzazz with the earrings on. Congrats on the piercing job!

For the "hubcaps" I would try sanding the pins with sanding paper to make them rough... maybe it would prevent them from sliding out.
