I'm a female who discovered she's autistic at the age of 35. I know very well how you feel and have the same experience! It's so easy to start thinking that extremely social and talkative people are friendly and helpful. But actually, that's often not the case. They simply enjoy chatting because that's pleasant to them. It doesn't necessarily show how much love they have in their hearts. Talking is just one way of showing love. Just like you say, actually listening might be even more helpful! Then there's practical help (what about a first aid course?), or simply call someone when you see that there's a problem! So many extrovert people will chat and get agitated about social injustice or seeing a burning meadow (that I witnessed) but they won't call the firefighters or social services or whatever. They will spend hours talking but won't take any action about problems. Another form of help can be financial donation or offering your skills to a charity. Answering people's questions online and being nice in the comments on social media... There's really a thousand different ways to show love and help other than talking and attending parties! ❤

Thank you for your beautiful video, Tara. I’m also an extreme introvert and I’ve found I’ve become more so as I’ve gotten older. God bless you.
